About this house rental

IU campus is a short 10 minute drive away.

Home is in secluded portion of neighborhood next to park with playground, large creek, and the Bloomington paved trail system.

Extras include: kids play room with toys, office with two monitors, playhouse in woods, dining area looking out over the park, large patio space, and wifi.

The home has a tankless hot water heater, so you will never run out of hot water.

Pets may be approved to stay for an additional fee. Please message me to discuss the details. Unapproved pets will result in an additional charge.

Home has a number of stairs to get into the home. Split level home with stairs.

We have a doorbell camera located on the front door that points towards the street. This camera records audio and video 24/7 when motion is detected and is for the safety of our guests and property.

We were delighted by this property, it's location next to a beautiful park with walking trails, tennis and more, the cleanliness of the house, the large windows providing lots of natural light and more. We were 3 families dropping our freshman boys at Indiana University and the pleasurable stay made it easier with a comfortable home base from which to launch them. Our host, Bruce, couldn't have been more accommodating. He never nickel and dimed us - as some hosts in the area have - when it came to things like an early check- in or an air mattress. Needless to say - I highly recommend this property and host!

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay in Bruce’s place. It looked great online but we didn’t realize it would be perfect for us! The location cannot be beat with things to do. The house was clean and my kids loved the toys and kids bedroom. Bruce was so generous in anything I asked. I would recommend this stay 100%.

When I see pictures that are this well lit on VRBO I am pretty skeptical about filters and editing. However the place looked just as good in person. The natural light was wonderful, we enjoyed watching squirrels and birds on the deck, and we even got to see a few deer. If you are going to Bloomington to go to the bars this isn't a great location. We weren't doing that so we loved it. For all other purposes this is a wonderful house and the host was responsive whenever we needed him.

This was one of our best experiences as a family, staying on a VRBO property. I highly recommend this lovely house especially in the winter to make use of the fireplace! Bruce has some very beautiful birds visiting his property as a result of his carefully placed and fully stocked bird feeders. We were visited by some deer as well! Just down the road is a delightful walking trail along a creek and if you like playing tennis, the tennis courts near by are well maintained and open to the public. I highly recommend this property!

We were in town for an IU football game. This location is about 10 min from the stadium. 2 adults and 3 teens. The layout is exactly as described. There is a very cool 360 degree fireplace in the middle of the living room. Bruce had dry wood and starters stacked and ready for us. Views of the park are great during the day. There is bike and walking paths 100 yards from the front door. Tennis and hoop courts and a decent sized play lot. Bruce was great to deal With. The property is great for a family. Might be tough for couples as only 1 shower bath but it’s clean and while We didn’t use there is a great outside deck and grill also over looking the park and preserve.

This house is exactly as the pictures seem, beautiful, well-stocked, convenient, and in a gorgeous location. Bruce was incredibly helpful and accommodating and he made our Homecoming weekend in Bloomington absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.

Bruce was a wonderful host and very communicative. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. He provided many extras including water bottles, play toys for the children and snacks as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The house is next to a municipal park, which was great for the 2 children in our group. Highly recommended, especially for families.

It was a gorgeous house tucked back in a peaceful spot. We loved the location of the house and all the wildlife that would visit. It was easy to communicate with the owner as well. We would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place around here.

Stayed on property for a funeral weekend. Home is well appointed with high end appliances, every conceivable kitchen tool/gadget/dishes/glassware. Toys for kiddo's, work space for "work at home" types, and great location. Peaceful and quiet but close to everything. Would love to come back for a football weekend and something fun and use the fireplace! We didn't have enough time on property to burn this visit. Thanks for all you did to make a challenging weekend go smoothly!

This is a lovely property in a wonderful location. We enjoyed watching the wide variety of birds that frequented the feeders on the deck and the family of deer that strolled by most days. The house is well stocked. I brought several items "just in case

We were in Bloomington for family weekend at IU. This property is close to campus, and is located next to a beautiful park and walking trail. We enjoyed the outdoor space as much as we did the indoor space. I would absolutely recommend and look forward to staying again.

We stayed here for two nights while exploring Brown County State Park. The house was very clean with thoughtful touches like a snack basket and water bottles on the nightstands. Property is well kept. It is next to a playground and tennis courts. Also has a Tesla charger which was an added bonus. We stayed with 3 adults and 4 kids ages 8-12. Great stay, would recommend.

Lovely home with everything our group of 8 needed for a weekend reunion. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. Dining table sat 8 adults for meals and conversation. Bedrooms were spacious. It's a full bath and half bath. Worked out fine for our weekend getaway. Plenty of towels and TP! The raised deck and wildlife were the highlight of the trip. The house is set at the end of a quiet street. Shaded, bird feeders. Squirrels, birds, deer. We took walks in the park, too. The owner was responsive, too. Extra touches like the snack basket were great! We would stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.

A great home in a beautiful neighborhood!

We had such an amazing time visiting some family in Bloomington. The home was spacious enough for all of us (6 adults and 4 kids), the kids toys/games and an area for them to play was perfect, and the neighborhood is beautiful. We so enjoyed being right next to the park plus have a swing set, tree fort, and creek for the kids to explore in the backyard. We also explored the creek down by the bridge for hours, so fun! Highly recommend this great property!

Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, spacious house. Loved the location in a quiet neighborhood next to a park. Morning coffee on the wrap around deck was a treat, like being in a nature sanctuary! Nice touches, amenities provided by the host who was very responsive to questions and great to work with!

We rented Bruce's house for a family get together and it was awesome! It was a great location with a park right beside it and comfortable fit all 9 of us! Bruce was easy to get in touch with and was incredibly accommodating. We would definitely recommend!

We rented the property for our Christmas with family. After our tough year, this place was perfect and just as listed. It allowed us a great place to be together and plenty of space to spread out too. The owner is amazing and the property itself is awesome!!! I would stay again anytime!!!

My friends and I really enjoyed staying here for our trip to Bloomington! The place was very spacious and cozy. All the beds were very comfortable. The location is really close to campus and easy to drive or uber wherever we went. The neighborhood it is in is also very nice. I would absolutely recommend to anyone that is looking to stay in Bloomington, close to campus. It was great for a group of friends but would also be fitting for a family. Bruce was great to work with and easy to communicate with.
