Very nice house and well maintained property!! Plenty of space for the kids to play and not be crowded or noisy. Screened in porch and back deck offered a fantastic view of the river. Dock was great for swimming off and catching fish!! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Would highly recommend staying here if ever in the area. Very easy drive to and from Huntsville

Beautiful house and we had a wonderful time. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were very nice and clean, and we loved the outdoor areas!!! Overall a great experience and the location was amazing!

Great views. Comfortable beds. All the cooking supplies you could need for family meals. Great electric grill. Great supply of towels. Fast response from host when we had trouble with the toilet not filling with water. The only negative thing was the jacuzzi in the loft bedroom spit out dirty particles. We assumed this was from not being used in a while and my daughter thought the ceiling fan needed to be cleaned. We had a great time and there was plenty of room to play games at the lovely table. The wall of windows and closed in porch were my favorite. I enjoyed the sunrise with my coffee each morning and sunset was amazing in the evening. I hope to be coming back soon to this lovely place on the river.

This house was perfect for my family. We all have to travel to meet up and this year we chose this place for our small Thanksgiving lunch. It was perfect for our small family and we will be coming here again for Christmas. We are so excited!

One full week. All was good. Limited restaurants for a week's stay but the ones we visited were very good - lots of catfish. Best was Sunday at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on Lake Wheeler. The views of the lake from the house and back porch are gorgeous! We loved swimming off the dock. We had great star viewing from the back porch. The beds are very comfortable and we enjoyed using the electric grill. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was a wonderful place to stay!

Very comfortable home, we enjoyed the view of the lake. The neighborhood was beautiful and everyone was very friendly. The screened porch was great for drinking coffee in the mornings. Would recommend the house and stay here again.

It was relaxing and pleasant to stay in this adorable lake house. The view was inspiring and we loved the glass wall that overlooks the lake! The owner went above and beyond by having all the cleaning supplies removed from the house to accommodate my allergies! It helped make my stay much more pleasant!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Wheeler Lake is my favorite place in the state. It’s home to us! We had a couple of hiccups, but Mr. Evans was prompt and accommodating for the entirety of our stay.

We loved this property so much. The house is very clean and well kept. We cooked every meal here and the kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and I enjoyed the layout of the home for our family. The VIEW IS FANTASTIC! We loved eating at the table on the top deck, mid deck was shaded and perfect of the kids to play on, and the kids swam and fished off of the dock on the lake. The owner was highly helpful and communicative. 10/10 recommend and we will be back! Thanks so much for allowing us an opportunity to experience your slice of heaven.

My Favorite part- Beautiful rope lights on entire back deck all the way down the 89 steps 😯 to water, screened in porch & nice window views. We had a great vacation! The marina is so close & great place to rent a boat & our host for the property was 5 star ⭐️ However, if you are truly a die hard fishermen (like our family) It was exhausting climbing all those stairs multiple times a day/night with lots of gear & then come in & climb several more if sleeping upstairs. It is unfortunately not set up for cleaning or cooking a mess of fresh fish either. Maybe My fault for making assumptions with the property named “Gone Fishing” Ps. bring your own blow dryer & games if rainy weather.

That photo of the windows facing the lake is true to this property, but no photo can do the view full justice. Just a beautiful view of nature all day every day. Well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood only about 10 minutes from grocery and restaurants. Close to some great hiking opportunities. The deck (really decks) and steps down to the dock are remarkable. Many nice little touches of character like the lake map mural. Phillip was in touch, proactive, and quick to respond throughout the process. We had a great stay!

The only negative I had was not enough towels. We had to wash them every day and we didn’t go on a vacation to do laundry every day. If we had known that they only gave you 1 towel per person we could have brought our own. Also the trash situation. We pick up after our dogs and the trash pick up would not take them out of the trash can because they were not in a big trash bag.

The stay was as advertised, excellent stay, bad weather created a situation to arrive earlier then expected. Owner was responsive (within 30 minutes), helpful and considerate. Would recommend to any traveling as a family.

What a nice property. Beautiful views of the Tennessee River. This property is clean, well kept and just as advertised. I had overflow guests for the 4th of July. They said the house was perfect and just what we needed. We will stay again.

This rental is amazing! There are few things that should have been added to the listing like the houses are really, really close to each other, the garage is not included with the rental and you can not keep a boat at the house! Over all this place was amazing! My kids loved the big open floor plan and the beds were pretty good! The big open windows truly have an amazing view while you eat and hang out! The view from the back porch is the main reason to stay and hang out! If we could have stayed longer we would have!

Phil is a great host. Very friendly. Locals are friendly as well. House is beautiful and exactly as described. We chose this house for the fishing and we caught quite a few flathead and blue cats. We had a group of 7 and dock is on the smaller size so we couldn't all fish at once, but there is plenty of other fishing spots In the area.

Great place to relax and unplug. Beautiful view and great screened in porch so we could enjoy morning coffee on the deck even when it rained. Tucked away in a nice, quiet community but easy to get to town for groceries or shopping on the town square. Very comfortable beds and nice quality towels and kitchen supplies. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing views!! Furnished with lots of things needed. Easy check in process. However, the cleanliness was where there was an issue. We found hair on 2 sets of the sheets and one of the wash clothes that was in the clean stack of linens in the closet had a smear of feces on it!! Needed a good deep cleaning. Otherwise, we had a pleasant visit. The cleanliness issue was the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Beautiful home with spectacular views of Lake Wheeler! Really enjoyed sitting especially in the mornings when the sun was coming up and reading while being able to look at it that view! Convenient to Huntsville!
