This property is beautiful! It is spacious, both inside and outside with several cozy spaces, all with spectacular views. The beds are comfortable and both kitchens (inside and outside) are well equipped. It was perfect for a friend trip and I know it would be ideal for a family gathering.

We were informed the day we checked in that the washing machine wasn't working. This was an issue for us since we had been traveling and needed to do laundry. I communicated that immediately with the person responsible for checking us in and didn't get any response. I called the EMR helpline shortly after we arrived at the property and again expressed my concerns. They informed me they would look into it. Nothing was communicated to us the next day so I called again in the evening and was again told they would look into it. By that point I had already spent half a day out of our vacation going to a laundromat. On the 3rd day I received a text that a repair person would come to the property that afternoon to fix the washing machine. No one came to the house and when I called the helpline again in the evening I was given the same responses as before. We had also figured out that the front door lock didn't work, which I also informed the management company about. That was important since we couldn't secure the house when we were out and about. After the 3rd day I gave up and didn't call anymore so for the rest of our trip we just left the house unlocked. Also, keep in mind this property is on a beach so without a washing machine it is quite a problem for having clean towels, clothes, etc.

The property was everything it said. Easy access to the beach, beautiful view, great kitchen, even a pizza oven which we used twice. The outdoor spaces were comfortable. The location to hikes and activities was convenient.

We were delighted with the location and views. Very serene. We found the path to the sand to be short but steep so some of our party didn’t venture down. The interior is not what we would consider “immaculate” but it was clean and tidy. The condition of the exterior was below expectations given the price point. The lawn furniture and patio areas especially needed some tlc. While this did not detract from our enjoyment of the property, for the price we expected a little more attention to detail.

This was the perfect place for us 55+ year old ladies to have a peaceful reunion. 5 comfy beds with lots of seating for dinner! Tons of options for sitting outside as well. We so loved the covered BBQ area & access to the beach. The downstairs has a huge couch & ping pong table to to enjoy a match! Lots of wine tastings were within 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this gorgeous home!

It was wonderful. The place was just as described!

The house was fantastic, tons of outdoor living space. Sadly, the weather was not great but the many outdoor hang out areas were very nice. There is a pathway to the beach, we walked on it several times. The kitchen, the living room, all the bedrooms, and the basement hang out room were clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property ! Amazing. The lawns and views are wonderful. House is very clean and inviting.
Little things, toaster did not work, ran out of saran wrap and tin foil.....was told I could contact the person who checked us in anyway of our stay before 5 pm. Messaged them to let them know about above little things, NO RESPONSE! Also, the frying pans are very old and do not plan to cook much in the oven, it is very small. But there is a beautiful BBQ area when you can enjoy cooking and the views.

We had a great time in this beautiful home. The location by the beach, the view, watching the sunrise etc. in a quiet neighborhood all made this a very relaxing vacation for all of us, including our dog! It's a lovely spot, we would love to come back again.

We picked this location for the size of the house as we were 5 friends and each needed their own bed, the location on the beach, and the proximity to vineyards, markets, and other beaches. The house is as shown in the photos, great size for a group of friends or family. There are lots of living spaces inside and out. Downstairs has a 2nd large tv, ping pong table, and a workout room. We did a morning stretch class which was great as it bucketing rain outside. The only downside was there was some dog hair on the rubber matting I am guessing from a previous guest. But it did not deter us from completing our class and it was not noticed elsewhere. The outside area would be fabulous in the summer, with all sorts of sitting areas, gas fireplaces, a wood-burning fireplace, bbq, and a pizza oven. Due to the November rain we were not able to utilize this. That and the pillows for the outdoor furniture were not in the location I was told so we could not sit by the outdoor fireplace. The direct path down to the beach which you can easily walk along, as it is not rocky. Great view looking out from the kitchen/dining area and upstairs living room. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The only downside is that a house this large only has two bathrooms and one is in the master suite. So you have to coordinate your morning schedule a bit. Overall a great stay and location would recommend it for anyone looking to escape to a beautiful quiet location on the beach.

Our stay was very nice. The place is nicely furnished and decorated with stunning views and nice patio furniture. Located in close proximity to beautiful restaurants and cute local shops too. For such a big place accommodating large numbers of guests, however, two bathrooms were somewhat problematic. At least a small powder room would have been helpful. One of the smaller bedrooms had a super hard mattress, which was really hard to sleep on and the management company was unresponsive for the last two days. They also initially told us we could arrange for a late checkout closer to the date but, closer to the date, told us they do not do such thing and, to make matters worse, their check out is at 10am which is earlier than any place we have ever stayed at (and we travel frequently). They simply gave us the impression that they do not care about accommodating their guests’ special requests and/or flight schedules. Despite these little hiccups, we had a great time in general and enjoyed our stay.

We stayed with 6 people at this property. Lots of room to spread out. Loved the different outdoor seating areas. Beds were extremely comfortable. Wished there were more than 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked. Oven was a little small if cooking a large meal. Would stay here again if looking for a property away from downtown Victoria. We loved walking to the beach & enjoyed picking up farm fresh fruits & jams along the way.

The property was beautiful. The outside amenities were nice, but not very clean. We were traveling from the US, and inquired about arriving about an hour early. We were told that day that it wouldn't be possible so we killed time for a while. Then just before check in we were told that we wouldn't even be able to check in at 4 but rather 4:30 or maybe even later. When we asked if we could be compensated by checking out a bit later we were not able to. Once we arrived the cleaning people left, but with all the towels. We were all tired from traveling for 10 hours but not able to shower. Three towels arrived an hour later (simply left in a bag outside) Then several hours later 5 more towels arrived and again just left outside in a bag. It would have been nice to have at least knocked on the door to let us know they were there.

Great rental, central to everything we needed for Brentwood graduation.

We loved the interior of the house - spacious, clean, well equipped. The king & queen size beds were comfy, but the 2 twin beds and the murphy bed left something to be desired, especially for those of us over 65 with old bones! 😁 They would be fine for kids. We were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness and set up of the exterior. The cushions were not put out for the patio furniture & they were not clean & the patio itself was dirty . We felt it should have been swept and/or hosed down and the grass should have been mowed. We do realize that the weather has not been conducive to cleanup, but we didn't arrive till 4:00, so some of this could have been done. What sold us on the place was the amazing view and the large property. We had a great time making s'mores at the fire pit (you need mope sticks to roast marshmallows!) and walking on the beach. All in all, great accommodation.

We booked this home as a group of 5 women coming from BC and Alberta for a getaway. This property provided the perfect location for exploring the Cowichan valley. The home has the most amazing views and quiet beachfront.
The outdoor seating areas are fabulous even with rainy weather we enjoyed the outdoors. The pizza oven was also a fun experience. We would definitely recommend this property.

What a lovely home! We enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay at Heron's Roost during spring break. The house is spacious, the beds comfortable, and the view is incredible! Such a relaxing spot and quiet neighborhood! We enjoyed walking the beach and watching the birds at low tide, and seeing the ferries sail by in the distance. Watching the sunrise from the family room was spectacular. The kitchen is honestly the best appointed of any we've ever stayed in with VRBO. The kids loved ping pong downstairs. We were all excited about the pizza oven, but the weather was not super cooperative and we got home too late to get it adequately heated. We were in town to see some family on the Island - my MIL grew up nearby - and this home was in the perfect spot between Victoria and her sister in Nanaimo. It took us a bit to figure out the heat in the main living space (it shouldn't have, it's actually really easy with the remote), and figuring out how to lock a couple of doors (Angela got back to me quickly, and again, it was actually very easy), Hopefully we can come back when it's a bit warmer and enjoy more of the outside space. Thank you for the great communication and the fabulous stay!

What a beautiful space to connect with friends. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach was beautiful and very close to local wineries.
Highly recommend staying here.
My only suggestion would be to chance checkout time from 10-11am, as that’s what most places are:)
Thank you so much!!!

My family and I stayed for 2 nights on the property. It was an amazing place, well appointed in a gorgeous location. I was greeted by the host who showed me around and made me welcome. The outdoor space is huge with many areas to relax or play, thoughI looked forward to returning in nicer weather. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Great property and location. Communication could be improved.
Main bath had faucet issues, cold tap knob wasn't functioning. Water pressure in main bathroom seemed low. Only one ping pong ball and it was dented! Otherwise, good and would stay again.

Generally very nice property , one more bathroom would be better, we were at capacity of 8.
Heat pump was a bit dusty but kitchen well appointed & beds were comfortable & attractive. Outside amenities looked really good, weather wasn’t conducive to using them
Found invoicing process and fees a bit misleading

Amazing views from a stunning property made for a very special family Christmas - the first all together in over 13 years! Angela and the EMR team were amazing to deal with. Really helpful and particularly caring regarding our travel to the property during a winter storm. The house was spotlessly clean and we loved the decor. We hope to be able to return in the summer to enjoy the spectacular outdoor amenities!

our group use to plan get aways for a number of years then work, kids etc. changed our free time. Found this house and booked a 3 night trip for 4 "mature" couples. House was great, bright and spacious and allowed us to cook and visit with everyone at the same time. Would definately recommend this property.

Came for Thanksgiving with adult siblings and our children; Absolutely stunning sunrises sipping coffee; easy access to the beach for strolls along the mud flats of Cowichan Bay; so many outdoor nooks to sit and chat; Kitchen fantastically stocked (but oven is small and improvised with large turkey "roasted" on the BBQ); fantastic mountain biking and road riding to be had in the Cowichan Valley

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home at an even more beautiful location! There are ample spots to relax and gather both inside and outside, there are plenty of games and things to do, and this home also features the best-stocked kitchen I’ve ever encountered in a rental property. Pizza oven and table tennis are icing on the cake!
5.0 / 5.0
We had a wonderful stay. The property is very quiet and relaxing. The house was perfect for our family get away. The kids loved the beach, finding shells, catching little crabs and letting them go and of course the yard and basement area too! The adults loved all the different sitting areas outside and how there were different areas for shade or sun throughout the day.
The pizza oven was a great treat to use along with the barbecue.
Depending on the tide the beach could have a lot of seaweed to go into the water, but a short walk down the beach there were areas to access the water with less seaweed. Water shoes recommended for the kiddos! The outdoor shower area was great to have after the beach. Our family dog also enjoyed it and it was nice to give him a good wash after playing in the sand and seaweed.
We would recommend this property for small- medium family gatherings and ocean side fun.

Gorgeous House in Cobble Hill
This property is truly stunning. We were traveling with my family (my husband, brothers, parents and my sister-in-law) and we were looking for a good location where we could mountain bike and my parents could go for walks. We also wanted a place to cook good meals and this was perfect. We grilled, we cooked wood-fired pizza, we had an absolute blast. And the view was off the charts beautiful. I highly recommend this rental.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful property. The kitchen was very well set up, and we joyfully made use of the wood fired pizza oven outside! It was a perfect location for our family stay.
