One of a kind vacation home. 1.8 mile of dirt roads leading to a home with great view. A true Vermont experience. Would love to come back.

The cabin was great and the location to towns and activities were excellent. Great views of the fall leaves turning. Highly recommend this cabin.

Our stay was perfect-30 minutes from Norwich University. The home was very clean, lots of space and the communication with the rental staff was always prompt and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Very well equipped kitchen (except no microwave), lots of books, games and children’s videos, and gorgeous garden with fire pit and Mountain View.

The location is remote, very few humans in the surrounding area. There is a rooster (or three) to provide a wake up call if you need it. The house and ammenities are as shown on the website. We had 7 in our group, plenty of room to spread out. Lots to do in the area, fabulous hiking and sote-seeing spots. Most drives are 30-40+ minutes for restaurants and grocery stores. Bathrooms include towels, wash cloths, bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were four rolls of toilet paper for an 8 night stay, plan ahead. No kleenex provided. Washer and dryer provided, also some detergent was there but not certain if that is provided by the property owner. Kitchen had plenty of silverware, cups, bowls, plates. There are items to cook with, but you may need to get creative. Some spices are there, as well as a coffee pot and filters. Plenty of books, great deck chairs, lots of kid boardgames. Clean place, cozy, great views with fire pit and plenty of wood. One thing I wish I knew before renting: the low supply of toilet paper provided and the amount of travel time required to locate more for purchase.

We loved all the windows making us feel really immersed in the forest. The front of the house with the little deck facing the mountains up close was spectacular. The house has beautiful wood trim every where, and modern kitchen. No microwave but all other appliances including dishwasher worked very well. King size bed was very comfortable, lovely linens and amazing mountain view! It was a perfect retreat.
The only one thing, otherwise this home is a 10, which did not affect us as we only used the master bedroom, was there was a septic odour in the back bedrooms which were next to the bathrooms. Once the windows were opened the bathrooms were fine. We just closed the doors to the back bedrooms as we were not using them. We didn't open the windows in there as we didn't want to forget to close the windows by mistake.

The home is as advertised. A bit in the middle of no where, but the main lounge is great for the 6-7 people the home can sleep comfortably.
You'll need a 4WD to access the home as it's on the top of a steep dirt road. The only negative is the well water has a STRONG sulfur smell, so you'll almost be knocked out by the smell of rotten eggs when showering or doing the dishes. Google said it was safe to drink, but we bought bottled water in lieu of drinking from the tap. If it's cold the electric heaters take a while to heat the place, but once they're fired up heat won't be an issue for the rest of the trip (we also showed up when it was -8 degrees F outside).
There's a ping pong table in the unfinished cellar that isn't advertised that was a welcome surprise.
I would 100% stay again. We got a powder day at Sugarbush and this home was a perfectly affordable launching point.
