About this chalet rental
You have found the most beautiful private rental cottage on the Acadian Peninsula. It simple doesn't get better than this natural paradise. Few places in the area will compare to the serenity experienced on this property, where the alchemy of nature and water come together in harmony to create the perfect oasis rarely found in New Brunswick, let alone anywhere in Canada.
As mentioned, almost everything is brand new such as the sectional couch, the mattresses, the bedding, the kitchen appliances, coffee machine, microwave, tv, etc are new. And when I say the place is fully equipped with everything you will need, you could literally live here for the year and only need to bring your clothes. And if it is not in the cottage, I am right next door at your service.
The kitchen has everything a chef would need to prepare meals and if anything is missing or that you may need, again I am right next door and it would be my pleasure to provide whatever you may need to make your stay the best you have ever had.
The bathroom has a shower with double shower heads and a fully functioning jacuzzi jet bathtub. The bathroom has everything you would need, from bath towels, hand towels, dish cloths, bath and hand soap, toothbrush, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, floss, hair dryer, curling iron, etc. The bedrooms have new quality foam mattresses with encasements, high quality cotton sheets, silk and cotton comforters, lamps, fans, hangers, alarm clocks, etc. The laundry has both a washer & dryer, washing detergent and clothes line outside. The living area has a brand new sectional couch, new 50 inch LG tv with Bell Fibe service and Amazon Prime for movies, a desk and comfortable office chair, books, board games and local literature about the area including restaurants and attractions. Flash lights, fire wood, first aid kit, hand sanitizer dispenser, office supplies, coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, spices, kitchen supplies, iron & ironing board, marshmallow toasting sticks, etc are also included to make your stay comfortable, safe and complete.
The exterior of the property is completely private. The large deck overlooking the natural pond has a propane barbecue with tools, a large patio table with 6 chairs and an oversized umbrella. The surrounding property has a stone fire pit with 5 chairs (lots of firewood available), 2 new hammocks with views on the pond, sitting area on the edge of the pond, Edison lights strung along the trees above the sitting area and....oh yea, the beautiful untouched nature all around you. The private beach is down a lovely path only a few minutes walk away from your front door. Water is clean, sand is soft and plentiful, sand bars are exposed at low tide and you would be hard pressed to see many other people. Don't forget about the romantic spectacular sunset directly over the pond directly in front of the cottage (and from beach). My favourite part of the outdoors experience is the different types birds that visit daily to feast on the gifts from the pond. I enjoy the morning time when the blue herons show up, the evening time when the king fishers and osprey visit, displaying their acrobatic maneuvers and during the day, you will have many families of ducks swimming around as the pond is their summer home during the good weather months. Day or night, the wildlife will be sure to grab your attention and entertain you. The entire time, you will have undisturbed peace and quiet with no sounds coming from road traffic or from the few neighbours. At night, the stars are bright, the sky is dark and the only sounds are coming from the diverse Eco-system of the pond and forest. It is a magical melodic hypnotic symphony of critters from nature.

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend, Silem was very helpful and kind..

Everything you could need, from cooking supplies to books and board games. Clean and comfortable, would recommend!
Selim was very helpful and easy to get a hold of to answer any questions.

The chalet is set in a beautiful location overlooking a tranquil pond. Short walk to a private beach. Perfect spot to relax. Selim supplies everything you can possibly need to enjoy your stay. He is always available by phone to answer any questions. The stairs to the second floor bedrooms are quite steep. This should be considered if you have any mobility issues or frequent trips to the bathroom at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay

What a beautiful oasis. I do have to say my favorite spot was the lower deck. So peaceful and watching the birds was entertaining. Kitchen is so fully equipped I was able to feed 14 guest. Thanks again Selim. Your hospitality was beyond.

We had a great time at this cottage. It's perfectly located near the beach, which we almost had all for ourselves. Selim is a great host. He made us feel very welcome, and gave us a great tour of the property to ensure that we had an optimal time there.

First, the host takes great pride in his property and making sure guests have everything they need. This was very appreciated by my family.
Second, the location is picturesque - next to protected pond with various bird species and a short walk to the beach.
Lastly, the cottage itself is perfectly equipped and we all slept well. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the firepit!
Many thanks for sharing this space with my family!

Four lovely days at the cabin and on the beach, as well as day trips to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Host was available but hands-off - perfect! The cabin and site were as advertised - lovely - and all of us had a wonderful time. Recommended!

I am going to steal another reviewer's line: Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!
While it seems too good to be true, the description of his property is spot on. The location is great for day trips along the coast and Prince Edward Island and even better, for relaxing on the beach or on the deck at the pond. The pond deck is a great place to have a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine after dinner. It is so restful to watch and listen to the birds. We were very entertained by "Reg", the diving kingfisher. The sunsets at the beach are beautiful and so peaceful.
The chalet is very clean and well maintained. It is thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a washer and dryer, which I appreciate. Th beds were very comfortable. The chalet truly had all the comforts of home.
Selim is a great host who clearly wants to provide a superb experience for his guests. Communication with Selim is easy before, during, and after your stay. He provides a personal greeting upon arrival, along with a nice tour of the property. He is nearby if you need anything but is not intrusive and honors his guests' privacy. We had the opportunity to talk to Selim a bit, an experience for which we are very grateful.
We are hoping to return some day and I would highly recommend this chalet as a vacation spot. In fact, I already have!
Selim, thank you for the wonderful experience!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing
The cabin itself is very clean, highly stocked with all the essentials and then some…… the outside is beautiful and well maintained. The pond at night is so beautiful and peaceful, also a wonderful place to have your morning coffee. The private lane to the ocean is a very short walk and the beach is beautiful and peaceful and not over crowded.
Selim, the owner is an absolute gem, helpful, caring, he has a heart of gold and it shows, if you are looking for an amazing place that has everything including peace, this is where your mind gets right!! Thank You Selim, from Kelly!!! Thanks for BC it was awesome lol

This is a wonderful place to stay. The host, Selim, was gracious and attentive. I sought something a little more than where my daughter and her friends could visit during a work-cation. I have not rented a whole house before versus a room or a condo environment. The quaint, picturesque location close to the beach that can sleep 5. It is great for families. One note, two of the bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are exposed, open. Supervision of younger children is needed around the stairs. Other than food shopping in nearby Cap Pelé or Shediac- this has all amenities- fully functioning kitchen, laundry facilities, soaking tub and shower, and Wi-Fi. Note for cell phones not using wi-fi, the coverage may be weak. It was fun to watch the birds ranging from blue jays, geese, and Pheasants strolling by. The wood burning fireplace kept the cottage warm. It rained a lot during my stay, but even watching the world outside through ample windows was great.

What a find. Beautiful scenery even in the winter and a minute walk to the beach. This place has everything you could need and the host was so accommodating. Would 100% stay again. A great place to unplug and unwind!

We loved our stay in the cottage. Selim has the cottage very well stocked. It was very clean and cozy. Our only suggested is he may want to keep the tour down to 10 mintues or not do one at all. Perhaps a welcome letter with instructions and possibly direction to the beach would suffice. After travelling for 7 hours you really just want to settle into the cottage and relax. I would stay at this location again and I would recommend it without questions.

This vacation rental was an absolute charm. We spent 3 wonderful nights with our children and grandchildren. Selim was a wonderful host – he welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us an exceptional tour, both of the cottage and the property around. Everything that we could have wanted was there for our use. The cottage was well stocked and Selim thought of everything, while letting us know that if there was anything more we needed, he would provide it.
The private path to the beach was wonderful. We spent hours walking the beach, chasing hermit crabs, collecting seashells and watching the waves as the tide rolled in and out.
We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, enjoying the hammock and listening to the wildlife on Lotus Pond, a natural water site. The Herons were amazing, we watched 9 in total as they came and went. The ducks provided much entertainment and we enjoyed seeing a hawk or two.
Thank you Selim for sharing your journey and story! I hope we will return one day. Atlantic Canada was a wonderful trip from our home in the mountains. We will definitely recommend to family and friends. A beautiful oasis!

Firstly, the owner Selim was a pleasure to deal with and anyone who has spent time with him will learn from his travel, humanitarianism and wealth of experiences. Such an interesting life he has lead and plans for his future! His communication and respect of privacy gets an A+.
Location: 5+ stars, (10 stars if I was able). I feel blessed with the opportunity to stay here, and share it with my grandchildren. Lotus pond is a conservation area supporting both flora and fauna. Glimpses of the magnificent Blue Herons’ deep blue feathers and massive wing span were very impressive; their status as endangered in the maritimes - distressing. You can spend days just sitting on the 2nd deck overlooking the pond. But do not stop there!!!
There is a short path that takes you over beautiful sand dunes to the PRIVATE beach. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen on any of my adventures in travel. White sand, NO garbage, unlimited ocean-front beach, water clear and warm, low tide pools with 1000’s of hermit crabs, long walks over sandbanks , high tide opportunities for water activities, sunrise and sunset - the photos speak for themselves but in my words, this is an opportunity to experience Canada’s natural beauty you should not miss.
The chalet is rustic and the additions Selim have built add to its comfort and have expanded it’s small interior. I would recommend it for no more than a family of 5, but 4 or less would be best. I would not recommend it for toddlers or seniors (the stairs are quite steep and open). It is well-supplied with everything one might need, and Selim is quick to find anything that isn’t at hand. Supplies ( toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, spices, etc) are plentiful. This little chalet is filled with treasures from the owner’s travels, and lots of artificial flower arrangements in case you need even more flora staying in this wonderful setting. These do leave little room for your own belongings but Selim has managed that by supplying dozens of wicker baskets to help organize yourself while visiting. Beds and living area are very comfortable, and cooking pots, pans, knives, small appliances are high quality. Sure, in keeping with its rustic charm, I could point out a few little things that could benefit from an upgrade, but nothing that would take away from your contentment.
Will I recommend it to family and friends - absolutely! Will I return - I hope so! Thank you Selim for this wonderful experience.

This cottage is a comfortable, rustic vacation spot in an incredible location. There are nearby public beaches and restaurants, but really there is no need to go further than walking distance! With access to a nearly private beach and a thoughtfully stocked kitchen, if you have a swimsuit and some groceries you’re set for your vacation!
Our 5-yr old vacationer was LOVING the quiet dirt roads for use of his bicycle and the beach was perfect for him as well - shallow, calm, and the hermit crabs were very entertaining.
We got to watch Kingfishers diving, and the sounds of the frogs in the evening on the lower deck overlooking the pond with the outside light strings was serene and calming.
Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Our group had an amazing time at Cedar Paradise. We were blown away by the beautiful private beach just a short walk away, and the serene sights and sounds of the pond, on the quiet and private property. Selim was a gracious host and it’s clear he takes pride in offering his guests the most pleasant and comfortable experience. The chalet is very well stocked with everything you need for an excellent stay. Selim is available and ready to help if there’s anything else you might be looking for!
We had a fantastic time and we hope to come back soon!

Lovely cottage in Acadian country
Beautiful cottage with all amenities and more. The inly downfall is the staircase to the second floor is really steep and becomes problematic when having knee or hip problem.

Amazing host and property
My wife enjoyed 10 days at Selim's cottage in Beaubassin East - Property ID 887866. The description states the cottage is fully equipped and that is not an exaggeration! Everything you will need to enjoy your stay is provided and if you do find something is required, Selim is happy to get it for you. Selim is by far the best host we have had the pleasure of interacting with in property rentals and if you have the opportunity to rent with him, I urge you to do so!

Beautiful spot, very accommodating host
We had to reschedule this weekend a few times due to covid and Selim was very good about it, and when we had to bring our dog even provided a dog bed. The cottage is small but cozy and very well equipped and the spot in the pond is gorgeous. The main bedroom could use a privacy curtain, but we were all sisters so it wasn't a big deal for us. The beach is just a short walk down a path. We had a lovely stay and will likely be back.

Cozy and so comfortable.
We had a very late arrival and Selem had a fire going to warm up the cottage. The cottage is extremely clean and fully loaded and to top it up the beds are so comfy. The nature at its best.

Lovely Oasis of Nature
This cottage has the perfect location - a freshwater pond nestled in nature and a 2 minute walk the ocean. Every possible amenity plus games, supplies, wood stove and quiet.Beds were comfortable.
Our host was friendly, responsible, and responsive. I especially appreciated the feeling of solitude this cottage could provide.

Warm welcome, beautiful property and location
Selim is an attentive and welcoming host. He took excellent care to make sure we had what we needed for a cozy long weekend visit. The home is immaculately clean, beds comfortable with fresh linens, and beautiful vistas from the home and, a short walk away, access to the ocean. Although March is of course too cold to swim or wade in ocean, it was a beautiful location from which to feel spring beginning to melt the long winter!
We are sure to return in the warmer months. Thanks Selim!
