Welcome to the charming seaside town of Morro Bay!
Fog & Stars cottage is a triplex located in the heart of Morro Bay and boasts an incredible view of the sunset, ocean, and the famous Morro Rock. As a guest of Fog & Stars unit 218, you’re just a two-minute stroll from the many colorful and fun establishments along Embarcadero Street and a five-minute drive to the beach. With your close proximity to both water and nearby woodlands, there’s no shortage of things to do. Activities include hiking on more than a dozen scenic trails, biking, kayaking, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, bird watching, whale watching and of course, cooing at the adorable sea otters and chunky sea lions.
After burning all those calories, you probably will be feeling quite famished. Don't worry! An array of fantastic restaurants are within walking distance of Fog & Stars cottage. Whether it be fresh seafood on Embarcadero street or spicy Thai food downtown, you will never run out of choices. Speaking of downtown, you can stop by the historic Bay Theater for the latest movie, then do some shopping at the quirky vintage shops the area is known for.
Feel like putting on your favorite sweats and staying in for the day? Well, the gel foam memory mattresses in Fog & Stars are perfect for you to luxuriate on and watch your favorite show or movie. There's a TV in every room so no need to fight over the remote. We also offer a variety of games and books both kids and adults can enjoy. If the day is too pretty to stay indoors, step outside onto the spacious, private deck and while you're out there, why not fire up the bbq for the family or enjoy cocktails among friends. We stayed here for graduation weekend in SLO hoping to spend some time away from the crowds. We really didn’t have much time at the unit but it was a great place and the patio was excellent for sitting in the afternoon, only wish we could have spent more time there relaxing to the sounds of the critters in the bay while watching the sunset over the rock.

This unit is very comfortable and VERY well located just above the Embarcadero. We walk to restaurants, the garden center just below, the art gallery we like. Everything we need is in the unit. We’ve stayed here several times and enjoy it every time.

We had a great birthday weekend stay. Very clean, all the bedding was newer, clean and very comfortable, there were plenty of blankets to snuggle up with on the patio that had a wonderful view of the ocean and Moro Bay rock.
There is a BBQ there for your use with the charcoals and lighter fluid, that was a nice surprise. You can cook a whole gourmet meal in the kitchen, although we would have loved to have a cutting board, we made it work without one. We would definitely stay again and refer our friends and family to stay, we give this place 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

It's one unit in a group of units, all redone at some point to update from the old school california bugalows, it's a block from the main walking around area of Morro Bay. Nice view of the bay and sunset, and a little outside area to hang out in. Beds comfy, kitchen works, really no downside.

This place is quaint and very clean. It’s perfect for 5 or 6 people. It’s very close to the main Embarcadero. The only negatives are that 1) there is only 1 bathroom and 2) it is on a very busy street. All big trucks that deliver to the stores and trash trucks use this street. 6 am it was very loud and constant for about an hour. Other than an early wake up, it’s a very nice place. And for a 6 person place, there really isn’t seating for 6 to all sit and watch a show or play a game together.

Cooked meals and enjoyed the patio with views of Morro Rock and the marina.
Perfect location for staging our morning kayak tour.

So much better to enjoy one’s vacation at Fog and Stars than at a crowded, noisy motel.

Quaint and cosy little apartment, fantastic location with a great view. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night on our stopover of the Big Sur drive, but I would highly recommend this apartment but anyone looking for a place to stay in Morro Bay.
Davin was an extremely responsive and accommodating host! We had to change our dates several times due to change in plans, and Davin very quickly accommodated all our changes without any issues. Thank you so much for sharing your apartment with us!

Fog and Stars is a charming apartment (feels more like a cottage) close to downtown Morro Bay with tons of space to relax indoors and out on the deck. Parking was easy and nearby with one space assigned but many parking options on the street and parking lot directly across from the unit. The place itself is beautiful, impeccably clean and well-appointed with super comfortable beds. I can’t say enough positive and the host was easy to contact and response was immediate. I stayed there with just my daughter but the unit would accommodate larger parties easily. We couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience.

What a gem! Ample free parking, walkable to the downtown and all the restaurants, easy to get in and out of, clean, amazing patio space, quiet… I could go on and on, but suffice to say, this is a great space and well worth checking out if you’re planning a stay in Morro Bay.

Amazing rental!
This property was one of my favorite VRBO stays of all time. It was spacious, had thoughtful amenities, a great manager and most of all an incredible view. We booked the property as a new rental and could not have been more pleased. The only thing missing was a hammock on the deck for an afternoon nap :) Can't wait to return!

Perfection
This space was exactly what we had hoped for and even more. It was cozy, clean, and literally right next to every where you want to be in Morro Bay. The entire condo gave the best view of Morro Rock and the water and the back patio was the highlight. Anyone staying here will be more than pleased. I recommend this gem to anyone, and I cannot wait to return!

Location, location, location!!!
The place was absolutely terrific (cleanliness, amenities, beds) and I will miss sitting on the patio mornings with coffee looking at the rock as the fog evaporates, evenings as the skies turns golden with the sunset and the stars start coming out. Davin was incredibly responsive. Thank you for a great family get together! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
