About this cabin rental
Summary:
Our cabin is in a small complex of rental cabins at "Antler Ridge". Pond's Edge is next to a small pond in the shady glade. The lawn is great for enjoying some outdoor play, grilling and gathering at the picnic table. There is a large grassy lawn across the drive perfect for outdoor games and sledding in the winter. From the deck or lawn chairs, you can enjoy the view beyond of grassy meadows and cool sunsets. Don't be surprised if you see deer or elk grazing in the meadow. Ponderosa pines are around the hillsides and Aspen groves peak with fall colors in Late September through mid October. You will notice hillside damage and regrowth from the 2011 Wallow Fire that almost took the paradise of Greer away.
The Space:
Our cabin is fresh and clean. Remodeled in 2022 with fresh paint, new flooring, high quality mattresses & pillows and new furniture. Cozy up to a wood burning fireplace in the open living and dining area that includes a well equipped kitchen. Enjoy Dish satellite on a flat screen TV or watch movies from our DVD library from the couch or recliner. Dine outside at the picnic table on the lawn next to the charcoal (depending on fire restrictions) and gas BBQ grills. The bedrooms each have a queen bed and the couch is a sleeper sofa to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people, 2 to a bed. There is one full bath with a tub/shower. All bath, bed and kitchen linens, bath soap, kitchen soap, paper towels, toilet paper, salt & pepper, coffee filters, trash liners as well as Shampoo and Conditioner are provided. We also have WiFi!
Guest Access:

The complex is just off Main Street and you can safely walk through town using the Greer Village Walkway that meanders from the South end of town to the bridge over the Little Colorado River. The library, community center and post office are all less than 1/4 mile away from the cabin.
Getting Around:
Side by sides, bicycles and walking around are great ways to experience Greer and beyond. The village is tucked in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and close to all types of trails. Cabin was in a beautful location but a few amenities were lacking. Despite having room, there was only one bedside table. We had to improvise with a padded chair. Where is the second person supposed to put their book, glasses, etc? The other issue was dishwashing. There was no tub to use, okay we used a bowl. They gave us half a sponge (!) and a small dish drainer but no tray underneath to catch water. The beds were good but the couch and chair could use replacement

We enjoyed our week sitting on the porch, walking our dogs, looking for deer, rabbits and various birds. The beds are comfortable, the shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. We found the TV a bit tricky. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans and bakeware. A second hand towel for the bathroom would be nice.

The only issue was the cabin numbers were impossible to see in the dark. We had to go cabin to cabin to find the one we had reserved.

Excellent little cabin very clean, with great view from the cozy porch !
Fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to make and eat your meals, plenty of bedding, stocked bathroom right down to q-tips. Lots of board games and cards, TV and dvd player.
Living room heater did not work as well as bedroom heaters ! Maybe have a supply of firewood even if it’s an up charge if used. Kristi the manager is excellent to work with and very professional.
Thanks for a great stay ! Doug B.

Property was nice and quiet. We felt safe and enjoyed the nature around us!

The cabin is very nice. There is a unusual smell, perhaps the carpet could use a little cleaning. Very usable kitchen, nicely appointed. All clean except the carpet. We have been to Greer many times over the last 20+ years, so we were familiar with the couple of restaurants, but all eateries were closed the week we were there! Very disappointing! We really liked our cabin by the pond and already planning when we could go back to stay there...When we know the restaurants will be open!

We were comfortable here. Bought a bundle of firewood and enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. Bed was fine, kitchen had what we needed, and our dog had a good time romping in the back yard.
The information binder could use some work - a map of the town and businesses would be nice, plus an update for local restaurants and their menu's. Also, step--by-step directions for using the TV - very different from our home system.
Overall, we would definitely rent this cabin again.

The cabin was really nice by the pond. It contained all the suppliies we required. The only suggestion addition would be a bbq lighter. It was a nice quiet get away!!

The cabin was very nice. We have stayed at a lot of different places in Greer. I loved this one! It’s off Main Street, the front door faces a meadow and pond. We really liked that, a lot better than facing the road. Had a little yard which was nice for our dog or a child. Had everything we wanted. Well equipped. The only thing I would bring up my blender next time!! Thanks so much Kristi!!

The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive when we had questions. The beds were both great and kitchen was small, but equipped with all we needed. The patio had a great view and it was just a great, relaxing time! Thanks!

We had a fabulous stay in Cabin 3 at Antler Ridge. The cabin was perfect. It is tastefully furnished and fully equipped with everything you might need. We loved sitting on the covered porch looking onto the pond and adjacent fields. Deer visited every morning. The cabin is walking distance to a couple of restaurants and shops. There is a great walking path just off the road from the cabin. We couldn't have been more pleased with our cabin and are looking to rebook for next summer. In our explorations of the surrounding towns, we saw bighorn sheep, wild horses and elk. Such fun!

Not too big…not too small…but just right. Very comfortable stay and close to lots of outdoor activities. Can’t go wrong for a couple or a family with two kids. Might be right for 4 adults, but doable.

We were disappointed that the pond shown in the picture was just a small mud hole. The television was disappointing as there were no instructions. They had a DIRECTTV control, but all you could get was streaming. I called and was told how to use, but it was still confusing. NOT EVERYONE IS UP ON THESE THINGS. INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE LEFT. I called to get a mop and was told she would check if cleaners were there that day, never got a mop. It is a nice place just a few things didn't work out.

I stayed in the 2 bedroom Antler Ridge #3 "Pond's Edge" for a weekend with my wife, adult daughter and our hypoallergenic non-shedding Bernedoodle. We received the entry code by email in advance so we were able to go straight to the cabin when we arrived in Greer on Friday. The owner clearly puts TLC and care into maintaining this cabin. We are picky travelers yet found it to be perfectly clean and tidy upon our arrival. Everything was in working order, in great condition. We loved the deck overlooking the pond and huge field with beautiful valley and mountain views, and also enjoyed lounging in the Adirondack chairs in the large back yard. Our dog loved it too because there was plenty of grass for her to frolic in - and as desert dwellers, soft green grass is not something that we often get to enjoy. The cabin is in a quiet area within easy walking distance to Molly Butler Lodge and pretty much anything else in Greer. Wifi worked well and while we did not watch TV, there's a generously sized flat screen next to the wonderful wood burning fireplace. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed, and we appreciated that the cabin was already stocked with coffee. Finally, I requested a late checkout by text and it was granted. Great communication, very friendly. Highly recommend Antler Ridge #3 "Pond's Edge"!

Greer is heavenly.

comfortable and simple.
it was very nice and simple. the location was smaller than what my impression was from the pics. I have no complaints. comfortable beds. a couple recommendations. the light over the table didn't work until i tried multiple light switches in adjacent rooms. this one was the lower switch by the kitchen sink. it might be better if the switches were marked. nothing significant, but it took several days to discover.

Greer getaway - beautiful
Because there was a unexpected construction zone next to the cabin we had reserved, Kristin upgraded us to a cabin up the road. It was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was right on the river too. We had a great time.
