Great location. The house has lots of space. Upstairs we had no issues however the downstairs level of the house was not as expected. There were long hairs stuck on the bathroom walls. A used contact lens was stuck to one of the cabinet doors. There were also a couple on the nightstand in the bedroom. Several blankets had been thrown into the bottom of a bedroom closet. When I asked if they were clean the response I received from the text number was "they should be". There was also popcorn in the pullout sofa bed.

This is a very nice house that has many features to recommend it. It has large bedrooms with king and queen beds (mostly) and a very functional kitchen area. The outside table on the open second floor porch needed to be cleaned before we could use it. We tried to make brownies in the oven, but there was a large pool of grease in the bottom of the oven which we had not noticed. It started to smoke. We did a clean cycle on the oven and baked the next day. There are specific instructions about using only the closed trash containers outside the house, but these were entirely filled (three of them) on the day when we arrived. None of these issues were "I would not rent again" problems. It was a very pleasant house for the ten people that we had staying there.

We rented this house and one a few houses away for a large family gathering. The inside of this house is great, particularly the bathrooms and kitchen. It was also nice to have king beds. We didn’t spend much time at the house because the rest of the family was in the bigger house and that was the focus of our weekend. The one downside to this house is the outside. While there were two balconies, their view was obstructed by a very overgrown front yard and tall trees so I would not have wanted to sit out there and look at that; it also encouraged a lot of bugs to be close to the house. Would use this house again for the same purpose (basically extra beds). Would only recommend this house if you don’t want outside space (unless you check with the owner that the yard has been tidied and then it would be great!).

The kitchen was a problem. 9 people were staying in the house and the kitchen was not equipped with the tools to feed that 9 people. One of the shower downstairs had mold in the shower and on the curtain.

The good: home was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was a great size for preparing a big holiday meal.
The bad/frustrating: one TV didn't work, heat randomly turned off twice (it was FREEZING), we couldn't get either fireplace to work, kitchen sink backed up (luckily we found a plunger). All of the religious books and items around the house were very off-putting and don't belong in a rental home.

We had a great girls weekend. The house was spacious and clean. The area is quiet and the lake is beautiful.

We were pleased with the size and cleanliness of the house. However, we weren’t pleased with not being able to watch tv, especially since we’re big baseball fans and it was playoff time. Asked for help three different times and was told to do this or that and after trying everything, still not able to get it to work, we gave up. Definitely need to work on the tv issues.

This place was clean and cozy. A short walk to lake and amenities. Would definitely book again. Had all the essentials and was easy to book, check in, check out.

We stayed with our five children and enjoyed plenty of space. The kitchen is lovely and the open living area is a great lay-out. The house was well-supplied with all we needed (paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, etc). It is a little musty-smelling, as older Junaluska homes often are. Good location, convenient to Junaluska amenities.

We had a great time with family/friends. Property could have been a little cleaner for our taste but we are super picky. House was spacious and we had plenty of room.

Oxford Lodge was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 3 teens. There is plenty of space to visit and sleep. I especially enjoyed the kitchen. It was open and well stocked with essential tools. The only negative was the two decks. They would have been very pleasant, but were really dirty. Surprising, since the interior of the house was clean and neat.

This home packs a big punch for what appears to be a small space. We fit 10 people comfortably with room to spare! It was well appointed and well cared for!

We have been coming to Lake Junaluska since the 1960's. Oxford Lodge was one of the best places we have stayed on the grounds, and look forward to coming back!
