We enjoyed our stay at River Birch. The Pictured Rocks are is stunning! Everything's within walking distance and very convenient. The small yard was nice and fenced in the grill was great. The unit is just a specified with a nicely stocked kitchen. They had a toaster, blender, K-Cup coffee maker, spices and plenty of cookware. It's was a smaller than expected unit, my husband and I felt a bit cramped in the full-sized bed, small bedroom without much room for your luggage and the bathroom is tiny. It's unfortunate they don't have designated parking for the rental. Be prepared, the weekends get very busy there, with little privacy. Not getting check-in details until late the night before arrival felt very last minute. 24 hours ahead would be nicer. Overall we were happy there but we'd definitely choose something with more breathing space outside of the downtown area next time.

This one bedroom apartment was just right for my husband and me. The location was perfect, downtown within walking distance to pretty much everything: Shopping, restaurants, brewery, winery, Pictured Rocks boat tours marina. The apartment was clean and had everything one could need in the way of towels, extra blankets, pots, and pans, dishes, etc. Would stay here again.

This was my first time taking a trip with my son and staying in a VRBO. The location is perfect. There’s a lot to do in Munising. I like that my teenager could stay back at the VRBO and I could walk around downtown or to the water. You know how teens are.
The place is clean.
The fold out couch was comfortable; however, it was a little tricky getting it to lay flat and to fold it back into the couch. Just a heads up on that.
The house is old. Everything has been updated inside. The floor is uneven in the kitchen. If you open a cupboard or the refrigerator door is shut because of the slant. But none of that deterred us from recommending this place to friends and family.
I love the fact that there was a fan in the closet.
Overall, excellent stay.

Our space was one of three units in a house located in downtown Munising. The location served us well. The unit itself was very comfortable, clean and well furnished. Plumbing & flooring throughout the unit had been updated. Bed was comfortable as well as living room furniture. Appreciated the simpler ROKU TV/remote & instructions provided. Comfortable linens and plenty of bath/kitchen towels provided. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was an ideal base for visiting Pictured Rocks and other areas around Munising, and was extremely convenient to restaurants and shops in town. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. The only "glitch" in our visit was some uncertainty at check-in, as we were unaware that the apartment was accessed via an unmarked front door. Otherwise, this was a great apartment that we would certainly rent again in the future.

Location was perfect! I came to hike and bike and spend time on Lake Superior beaches. The location was in close proximity to 100’s of outdoor activities and convenient for all modern conveniences- food, groceries, etc. The space was clean, comfortable and I felt safe as a single woman. Communication was excellent and checking in was a breeze. Thank you!

The one bedroom apartment was in the heart of downtown. I love the location. The only area of improvement was the temperature. The temperature of the apartment averaged 74 to 75 degrees. We had to open up windows for a breeze and the air quality was poor outside. I recommend setting the temperature lower and to have 2 tall oscillating fans, 1 for the bedroom and 1 for the living room. The towel rack in the bathroom needs to be fixed as well.

Had a great time in Munising taking a boat cruise and visiting waterfalls. Location was excellent with nearby restaurants to enjoy. Short drive to see multiple waterfalls and lighthouses. Be sure to eat some local whitefish from the fish markets! Would absolutely recommend and book a stay with Pictured Rocks real estate

Triplex was very clean and spacious. Walking distance to a delicious pizza, shop breweries, wineries, dispensaries and gift shops. A short drive to the Pictured Rocks, beautiful waterfalls and sand dunes. Definitely worth the 10 hr drive.

This property was clean, easy to find, and was a perfect starting point each day for visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We especially liked that we could walk to restaurants, coffee shops and the bay. Parking was always available next to the property. A manager was easy to reach when we had questions.

I was disappointed that there was standing water in the shower. Whom ever cleans had to of noticed this while cleaning. It took several minutes to drain.

Not worth the price
This place leaves a lot of things to be desired. There is an overall impression that the property managers don't care a whole lot.
We walked into the house to smoke smell. They had communicated WiFi password incorrectly, which we managed to figure out. The property managers seem to communicate only during office hours.
Probably the worst thing about the house is temperature control. There are two AC vents, one in the kitchen and one in the living room behind a settee. So the dining area is too cold, and bedroom is warm and stuffy.
The bedroom is tiny, doesn't have a chest or any storage space apart from a small closet, or really any room to even open a suitcase. There are only drapes on the bedroom window, no blinds.
The bathroom doesn't have enough counter or storage space. The hot water runs out too quickly. There is no laundry basket.
There were no dishwashing detergent or dish rack in the kitchen.
The pull-out sofa bed is about average, but you'd expect it to be better at this price. They had forgotten to provide sheets for the sofa bed. When contacted, they replied next morning and asked us to pull out extra sheets from the storage unit.
The washer and dryer are coin operated and old. One washer and one dryer were out of order.
Parts of the house are rickety and need fixing. For example, the back door. There is a small storage room outside the back door which is completely accessible to anybody from the street because the rear entrance of the property can't be locked.
Some positives: great location, just a hop across from the marina. Main Street Pizza and Muldoon's pasties are highly recommended.

Sweet 3 flat house
Very cute blue house with sunflowers at every window! The apartment was nice, well equipped for the stay. I liked the matching red and white colors in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable. I will recommend to add extra sheet and cover for the living room sleeping sofa. There 2 more apt in the house but we didn’t hear any noise. Only the car wash close by was making sounds and I was hearing it in the bedroom. The agent was fast and easy to communicate with any questions. Walking distance to Munising cruise port, shops and restaurants. The local fish market Captain Ron has outstanding fresh fried and smoked trout and white fish! Local people are so friendly.
