This luxurious 4-bedroom 3.5 bath home is 2240 square-feet and sleeps 10, has an open floor plan, a well-stocked kitchen, living room with satellite TV, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom , a half bathroom, laundry room, deck and screened porch that overlook the water all located on the main level. Downstairs you will find a recreational room equipped with satellite TV, reclining couch, two additional bedrooms (1 queen with an en-suite and 1 queen with a shower / tub combo) and a bunk room that sleeps 4. Finally, enjoy the hot tub overlooking the water in the evening, making it a perfect getaway year round.

We were messaged ahead of time by the very helpful and responsive host- owner who made sure we were all set for our weekend of fun! The home is gorgeous. Absolutely everything about the home and location has been designed to maximize comfort, relaxation and and fantastic views. The home, hot tub, dock, kayaks, stand up paddles, etc. were all clean and very well-maintained. The beautifully designed kitchen had everything we needed need to feel at home. The beds were very comfortable. The lake is clean, and the quiet part of the lake where the house is located made for fantastic swimming. The clean hot tub welcomed us at then end of the day and we enjoyed family games (host has a bunch!) in the evening. One recommendation is to make sure to pack a cooler with plenty of food; the grocery stone is not close! We will definitely be back soon! Next time we plan to stay for much longer! Our family vacation at Mason’s lake home was absolutely wonderful. We are planning on coming back. The home was clean and well stocked. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for the 5 of us. We were able to cook or grill all of our meals at home. The dock and lake are perfect for swimming and spending time together. We loved having the kayaks, paddle boards, and floats. We highly suggest exploring up the cove to the waterfall and renting a boat from Squirrel, if you don’t bring your own. Having the hot tub and solo stove added to a great stay.

We have stayed at several rental properties and this one by far has been the most well stocked. Everything was just as described and the place looked just like the pictures posted. Will was the easiest and most involved host I’ve ever dealt with. He went above and beyond with giving as recommendations on a guided fishing trip, to spas, places to eat, golf courses and even where would be best to launch the boat. It’s a great home and will definitely book again when we come back to Smith Lake!

We had a wonderful weekend! This home is beautiful and has every amenity you’ll ever need. The lake view is spectacular! The dock is fantastic. Our host was so friendly and informative - really goes above and beyond. Home was immaculate in every way and well stocked with everything we needed! We will DEFINITELY visit again and again!! This was such a cozy place to have a laid-back bachelorette weekend. Slept 10 adults comfortably and everything was immaculately clean! Hosts were great and always texted back immediately if we had any questions. Highly recommend!!

Let me start out by saying my husband and I have stayed at many VRBO'S, so we are able to compare to the other places we have stayed. Hands down this was the best home we have ever stayed in. First. Will was great to deal with from our first conversation to our last one when we said our thanks for such a wonderful stay. The house was spotless. I did not see a speck of dust. We arrived the day after Christmas and we were delighted to walk in to find a beautiful Christmas tree so tastefully decorated. There were beautifully appointed decorations through the entire house. I love to cook and can honestly say they have stocked the kitchen the way it should be. I could not think of anything I was in need of. The lay out of the house is amazing. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on the covered porch, used the solo fire pit outside and they even had the hot tub ready to go. The dock is outstanding. The attention to detail and thought that they have put into a perfect stay is so obvious from the moment you walk in the door. I would also say I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. My only disappointment was how fast our time went. We were sad to leave, but so thankful for a long awaited vacation that surpassed all expectations. Thank you again!

This was a wonderful trip start to finish. Obviously the owners are going for a first class experience. Everything has been thought of. The house is beautiful and appointed wonderfully! We had the best time on walks, paddle boarding, and sitting by the fire. The owner was quick to reach out and respond to questions. Don’t hesitate! It’s a wonderful home!

Gorgeous home! This was our first visit to Alabama and this rental exceeded our expectation with the beautifully appointed home and stunning views of the lake. The house is so cozy and comfortable that we did not want to leave. Communication with the host was easy. Enjoyed exploring the area and the fishing off the amazing dock was great!

Such a great property! The place was really clean. We were welcomed with a cute personalized message board, a bottle of wine and chocolates.
So well stocked - from kitchen dishes, coffee pods and baggies to beach towels for the floating dock and hot tub to laundry soap to fire starters for the fire pit.
Comfortable beds and great lounging space on the screened porch.
Will was super responsive to the questions I had before and during our stay.

Our group (6 adults) had the best week at this property! The house itself is lovely and immaculately maintained. It was well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable! They really thought of everything. We had so much fun hanging out on the 2-story dock, floating on the water, and taking advantage of the activities such as kayaking and paddle boards. We even got to watch a meteor shower from the top deck - spectacular! The dock was stocked with plenty of life vests, floats, and other amenities. On top of all that, Will was a delight to work with! He was very communicative and super generous with check-in and check-out times. Initially we were a little bummed about how far the house is from town, but after one grocery haul we never needed to leave the house; and the peace and quiet was so worth it. We are all so grateful for the hospitality and can't wait to go back!

This was the best VRBO experience we’ve ever had. The hosts were highly communicative and quick to respond. They went above and beyond and thought of special details to make our stay even more memorable, such as wine and chocolate for us upon arrival. It was immaculately clean, very well stocked with kitchen tools and games, through and simple instructions for everything, and all-around well designed. The dock was especially awesome with the 2 stories, the kayaks, paddle boards, etc. The owner truly thought of everything. Beautiful houses surrounding it and a quiet cove. This property is just beautiful. The house was perfect for our family. 6 adults (3 couples) and 4 grandchildren. Very new and nicely furnished. Wonderful bed linens and plenty of towels. Great kitchen, LOTS of gathering areas indoors and out. The kids loved being able to warm up in the hot tub after being in the lake. The boat dock was the best we have ever had. The upstairs had a very large shaded area and a gate for the kids to jump in the lake. Great fishing from the bridge and lots of good spots nearby also. There was hardly any boat traffic on this quiet slough. There are stairs to the lake but were very sturdy and easy to maneuver. There was also a fire pit with plenty of wood. We were able to rent a jet ski from Ski Bums and pick it up at a nearby marina. Triple creek Marina was nearby for gas. The owners responded very quickly to any questions we had. For us this was place was perfect!

This home was just the best. Stunning and secluded and everything we wanted! We can’t wait to come back. The beds were also the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in, ha! Make sure to bring everything with you- there really isn’t anywhere to stop by quickly to grab things you forgot.

The house was amazing! They had provided absolutely everything you could need and more. It was a beautiful warm day and we were able to use the kayaks, stand up paddle boards, amazing dock, corn hole, bon fire pit and hot tub. We hope to return for a longer stay next time! What a beautiful area that we never knew existed!

We needed to be close to family that wouldn’t be able to travel for the holidays but we still wanted to have our own place to to celebrate with our children like we were at home. Will and his wife went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and to have the house decorated for Christmas. We loved every moment of the week and will be making plans to return. If you’re looking for a beautiful house away from the hustle and bustle of life than here’s your place.

The accommodations and location of Will and Heather's Crane Hill home are, in a word, perfect! The experience of renting, from communication prior to our visit, to the thoughtful touches welcoming us to their property, through their accessibility at the conclusion of our stay all contributed to an amazing weekend. My family: wife, four children aged 3-11, & my parents, rented this home for a week.
The property had everything that you needed for an extended stay. The bathrooms were well-stocked with towels, washcloths, hand soaps, and toilet paper. They were also kind enough to provide dishwasher detergent and dish soap, cleaning supplies, paper towels, and laundry soap that got a family of 8 through an entire week. There was an abundant supply of beach towels, outdoor and indoor games, along with a well-stocked dock. My kids enjoyed playing Cornhole and we also spotted a giant Connect Four, but never used it.
The beds were all comfortable, as well as the furniture. They had lots of throw blankets and pillows in every room.
They had excellent sunchairs on the upper deck and chairs on the lower level. They had plenty of floaties and the children as well as the adults enjoyed the kayaks and standing paddle boards. I'm not sure if they provided life jackets because we always bring our own. My daughter had to have jumped off the upper deck of the dock at least 100 times while we were there. They also have a beautiful hot tub. We only used it a couple of times, but it was nice to have available.
We brought our own spices, but they provided a lot as well. They also had plenty of storage containers for leftovers, Ziploc bags, Cling Wrap, and aluminum foil. There was just about every cooking device and vessel available. Including: Crock Pot, Instant Pot, and Air Fryer. Their gas grill was very clean (we've had to scrub others before use at other properties). The kitchen had plenty of Yeti-style lidded drinkware, and various sizes of cups and cutlery for the kids. The entire home was immaculately kept.
The DISH connection only cut out during a storm. We had difficulty keeping connection in the basement to Netflix and DISH, but we didn't watch a whole lot of TV - so it wasn't an issue. Internet is spotty, but that's to be expected at such a remote location, which we loved!
Overall, this has been THE BEST property we have ever stayed at, and we would definitely rent from the property owners again. Will was an exceptional host. He gave excellent customer service by communicating with us thoroughly prior to our arrival. We never had to reach out to him during our stay because the home had everything we needed. It is a beautiful home and we look forward to returning one day. Thank you, Will and family for an amazing family getaway!

Best Spot on the Lake
This house is the perfect lake house! The location is fantastic, it is extremely clean, beautifully decorated, high quality linens, new kitchen items, games/toys, pristine bathrooms and more. Nothing was unthought of when they put this house together. Was also awesome to have two sitting areas on different levels to allow for adult and kid spaces. We underestimated the dock too; the jump gate was so much fun our children wanted to stay there vs be on the boat all day. However, it was fun for the adults too with a nice deck and lake toys to explore the cove. Will and Heather were more than accommodating, connecting before the trip and during to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed coming back from a day on the boat and swimming around below the house as the sun was nicely tucked behind the trees at this point (perfect and refreshing). We will definitely be back and it will be hard to compare this experience and the hospitality with any other rentals we use anywhere! Thank you for a lovely week!

This place was amazing. It’s a great size for everyone. We had everything we needed and more. The dock was above amazing and where we spent most of our trip. We had three boats and plenty of room to tie them up. Excellent layout chairs up top. The owners did a great job messaging us and checking on us all throughout. Fabulous Lake Getaway
We had a wonderful experience!! We could not have asked for better accommodations, the house is absolutely beautiful and well stocked with everything you need, down to the laundry detergent. Our children enjoyed the 2 story boat dock, they loved jumping from the top. We tried our hand at paddle boarding and kayaking. The upper deck accommodations on the boat dock were great for watching the sunset and enjoying the cool breeze coming off the water. The Cove was a great area for the kids to swim in too. We hated to leave, it was like our own little slice of heaven for the week. Will was great to work with, he helped us with whatever questions we had about navigating the Lake. The Perfect Birthday Getaway
This property was awesome. Owners thought of everything you could possibly require and had those items readily available at the home. As a person who vacations often, that in itself is huge perk. From laundry detergent to olive oil : )) Owners were also very gracious when it came to the check in/out times, which we thoroughly appreciated. Home was exactly as pictured; cute as a button. Highly recommended, it won't disappoint!

It's all the small things!
This property is amazing! It was clean, comfortable and a great layout for our group. The owners were fantastic with communication before and during our stay. This house would obviously be better in the summer, but there was plenty of other stuff there to keep us happy on the cold/rainy days. We'll just have to come back again this summer!

Wonderful Place, and a Great Host!
This is a great house and Will is a great host! We stayed here over the New Year’s holiday weekend with our three daughters, two sons-in-law, a grandbaby, and one of our mothers. The house has great quality appliances, furniture, and mattresses. The double-decker dock is fabulous, though being winter we did not spend much time there. It was warm enough that one of our daughters went down there to read for a while. It is a nice retreat for that and not just swimming! The screened-in porch is so inviting, and we did make a lot of use of it. It was enjoyable to sit around the fire pit table and talk about spiritual things! The kids played with the cornhole and spike ball games out on the front lawn. As I mentioned before, the host was great! He was super at communicating with us and making sure we were having a good time. When we had an issue with the sound on the TV, he stayed in touch with us until we got it figured out. He was very generous with us, going far above and beyond what was expected. This is a great place to get away from it all with your family and friends. Highly recommended!

Secluded retreat
Great retreat. Owners made sure our stay was one to enjoy. Took our own food as restaurants are not close but everything was furnished beyond anything we could have expected. Perfect steaks on the grill. Morning sun rise and lake fog was a sight to see. So peaceful. Fire pit, screened deck and hot tub were perfect for cool evenings. Thanks Guys!!! Plan to go back in summer to enjoy the lake. Best Vrbo stay to date.
