I stayed at Swede Hill Suite solo while I was visiting my son at UI. This home is a bright and clean duplex located in a safe and quiet neighborhood just up from the main town of Moscow and UI. I appreciated all the care the owner took to make the home inviting - from fresh paint, to comfortable bedding, and a real effort to make the home clean. The owner is very accessible and answers any questions you may have in a timely manner. The house is only a 3 minute (or less) drive to the grocery store and restaurants. Walkable in nice weather.
Two improvements I would recommend to make this home even better for guests. Number one, add a shade to the kitchen window. When it’s dark outside and you turn on the light you feel a little like a goldfish in a bowl with people looking in. Second, I know some owners feel it is the responsibility of the guest to strip the bedding at the end of the stay, I don’t think this is a good practice. Taking out the trash, clearing the fridge, putting dishes in the dishwasher and starting it, taking care of wet towels, all of these things make perfect sense because they can cause issues including welcoming bugs/rodents if not taken care of promptly. Striping the bedding should be something that the guest is paying for. As someone with a bad shoulder, removing bedding was something I found to be more than I bargained for. Just my thoughts.
These items are minor. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend this home to others.

We had a great stay. Nice accommodations!

This was a very comfortable and cozy place to stay for four days. All of the amenities were in great condition, and the location was great. The mattress in the master bedroom is a bit stiff, so be prepared for that if you favor a softer, more cushioned sleep space.

My friends and I had a great stay at the Swede Hill Suite.
It was clean and just as described in the listing. Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed our time.
We appreciated the close location to the campus and downtown area. It made it very easy to get to our events both on campus and in downtown.
We would love to stay at this quaint and cozy place again.

We stayed at this property while dropping our daughter off at the U of I, the location and accommodations were perfect for the rest of the family during our visit. The hosts are great, very responsive to questions and accommodating. The location to Main Street and the University was also a big plus for us. We look forward to staying again!

We love this place and plan to come back when we are in the area to visit our kids and grandkids! The hosts were wonderful the house was marvelous--quiet, clean, homey, and in a great neighborhood. We travel all the time and stay in a lot of vacation rentals--we hate hotels--and this was the nicest place we've ever stayed. And a great value for the price!

Very pleasant stay. It's a new property for them so they just need to get some kind of cable service so can easily watch programming. Internet worked fine.

Our stay was for a few days while my daughter and a friend toured U of I. The house was in a great central location to get to and from downtown and the campus. It was just as cute in person as in the photos and was so nice for us to have a kitchen, separate bedrooms and privacy when we needed it. I would highly recommend it.

My daughter is a 3rd year WSU student and I come to visit her once a semester for a mother/ daughter weekend. We usually stay in rentals near Moscow, occasionally a hotel, and this was our first time at this VRBO. It suited us perfectly! The place was comfortable, easy to access, super clean, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet, especially at night, and it was great to see people out walking their dogs and children during the day. We enjoyed walking into town for breakfast, thrift shopping, finding a great yarn shop, and returning later for dinner. This place was cozy, easy to find what we need, and most importantly the beds were comfortable for a good night's sleep. The owner was very quick to reply to email messages. Both of us agree that this was a place we'd like to stay at again for next family visit as it checks all the boxes for us.

You know when Vrbo has “hidden gem” in the listing? Well, this one actually IS! Our family of 6 (3 teens) stayed here for 3 nights. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood close to downtown Moscow—perfectly situated to walk or go for a run with lots of options. We had plenty of room; it was actually bigger than I expected based upon the Vrbo photos, and we appreciated the multiple nooks and crannies and closets for storage so that we could keep the house tidy, even with lots of big people and our stuff:). It is beautifully decorated; the 3 of us females loved the style— impeccable and yet completely cozy simultaneously! (Speaking of taste, you know when the owners leave several Calvin and Hobbes books for your perusal, you’ve found a winner.:)) Our meals were almost exclusively cooked at the home, and Emily has thought of everything. In the kitchen, rather than tons of miscellaneous kitchen stuff to sift through, they have included all the things you’d need—and good quality too! We loved playing their board games and the cozy factor of the fireplace going on cold evenings (with a cup of coffee from the Keurig + 1/2 & 1/2 in hand). As a side note, we really enjoyed Moscow as well! Come stay here! What a find this house is!

Swede Hill House was comfortable and cozy for our winter trip to Moscow. Centrally located, it was a quick drive or even walk to everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, and we especially loved the gas fireplace in the living room which helped warm us up after our adventures in the snow. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Moscow!

The property was an a great location to downtown, was clean, comfortable, modern, and the hostess was a great communicator. My parents stayed here for the holidays, and we would gladly have them stay again. Thank you for the great service!

This rental is a duplex so your are sharing a wall. However, it was very quiet. Very nicely decorated and in a great location. Out family spent a lot of timE gathered around the dining room table eating and chatting. It was a very nice setup. We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for a WSU Cougar Football Saturday weekend as it was more spacious than a hotel for my family. The house had all that we needed for a great weekend. Loved the décor and the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom perfect for my teenaged daughters. My daughter left her necklace there and the owner mailed it back to us. Thank you Emily.

We had a great stay here. Nicely decorated, well-appointed kitchen, and charming touches like a jewelry dish on the nightstand. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. We were a little concerned about our (tall) teens fitting in the bunks, but they both slept comfortably. Easy drive to Pullman.
