We certainly enjoyed the peace and quiet of this home. Close to town but yet far enough away to make you feel like you were the only one around! We were able to bring our dog and she loved the big back yard that allowed her to roam and investigate all the smells....We will certainly be back! It was very convenient for us as the house is very close to some friends who live in Candler so we were able to visit them as well.
The home is very clean and has everything you need to cook or grill if you like. The beds are very comfortable and the water pressure was good also. IT was a great place to speand a few days just resting and relaxing!

The home was very nicely decorated and well stocked. We had everything we needed, and everything was incredibly clean. Overall a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back again!

Everything was so clean. The fenced in property was great for dogs. Short distance from the Blue Ridge Parkway and only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. The WiFi worked perfectly, and the kitchen came stocked with anything you’d need for cooking or baking.

Excellent mountain mornings with my pups in the cottage

The house itself was cute and clean. Although it smelled like cigarettes. However Vacasa rentals was unbelievably horrible to work with.
the toilet was not working upon arrival. They sent maintenance the next morning, only after I waited on hold for 1.5 hours, messaged in vrbo, texted the number they texted me on, and never got through so I messaged them on Instagram and they finally had someone call. We were told we would have to move homes due to the septic needing to be replaced. When we arrived back to pack our things the maintenance crew that the Vacasa employee told me I could trust… left the door open and key on the stoop. With all of our belongings inside. (This home is next to a trailer park and we don’t know anyone, so we felt very unsafe knowing the door was left open, we told them this and no one acknowledged it)
It took vacasa from 8am to 5pm to find a solution, which ended with me scrambling to find somewhere to stay and pay out of pocket.
When trying to resolve an issue I had to communicate with 6 different employees and explain the situation every single time, with very little help.
I could go on and on about how horrible they treated us, but I will just say… NEVER book a stay with vacasa rentals as the property manager. Not worth loosing a day of our trip, canceling meetings, coming home to unlocked doors and an unsanitary toilet situation. The company has very bad management and customer service skills.

A wonderful yard for dogs and people. Good location well-appointed it had everything we needed except the washing machine needed repair. We really enjoyed ourselves here. We were able to use our Roku for streaming on the TV which was a real Plus. We would stay again.

Stayed at Colorful Cove late Dec 2022. Great location in close proximity to Asheville (about 15 minutes pending where you are going) but just far enough away to escape the city feel. We stayed here as our base of operation to explore Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest. Both of these are filled with beautiful hiking trails and located about 30-40 minutes from the house. The house was stocked with everything (and more) one could need for home essentials! Colorful Cove was very clean upon our arrival, the surrounding views are incredible, and the area/neighborhood is quiet. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Asheville area!

I have expressed the dissatisfaction the first couple of days of my stay. It took a day after poor sleep due to the disgusting comforter, sheets, pillow cases, and even towels to get new bedding. There was even a hair ball on the coffee table. I had to wash the towels myself and sheets bc the ones thry put back on the bed still had hair in them. The first night i slepy with my tiny throw blanket and on the vleanest towel i could salvage bc i didnt want to touch the bed. The dander in the room burned my nose and eyes and I even own an inside dog that sheds everyday. There were multiple thibgs besides that but the cleanliness is controllable! Not once did I get offered a discount on the first night after dealing with a headache and exhausting first day after not sleeping at all. I have worked in customer service and have a bachelors in tourism and hospitality manaegement! I am more than patient and forgiving but this vrbo/vacasa is a joke when it comes to messing up someones vacation and not taking responsibility for it!

Was perfect for just my husband and I. We like West Asheville, so we were really close. Comfy beds, quiet atmosphere and everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Since it’s an older home, it’s on the small side but perfect for a getaway! It has been updated and looks very modern. We didn’t use the kitchen but was nice to see it had everything we would have needed for cooking. Clean and great for bringing our dog with us!

Charming cottage near the end of the holler
Charming place, would stay here again! Outside may not look like much, but the inside is beautiful and the property is well stocked with all the essentials. Nice mountain views and fenced yard with about half acre. Our furry friends loved it too!
