We very much enjoyed our stay, relishing the peace and quiet of the property as an offset to our busy wedding week. The house was spacious and well outfitted, and we all enjoyed downtime in the pool. Glen was very helpful at answering all of our questions. We left the galley stairs to the young adults traveling with us. :)

The house was very nice! Loved that it was a piece of history we got to stay in! We loved that we had access to the water! Of course we all enjoyed pool time!! Thank you for a great vacation rental. Hope to return in the future.

Fell in LOVE with this property and the Farmhouse! So beautiful and unique. It is far enough from town to feel like you aren't in town, but close enough to enjoy the Food Lion Grocery store easily! Everything exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful property and charming historic home that offered us plenty of space to gather, eat, relax and enjoy each other! Thanks to Glen and his family for giving us this opportunity to stay close to my niece’s wedding venue in a great environment! We loved the pool and the massive outdoor space. We only wish we had more time to enjoy all the surrounding nature!

Came for USNA graduation. Great location and very interesting and historical property. Only downside was the mosquitos and ants but that just comes with the territory.
Thanks for having us.

We had a small group stay here for a weekend of wedding festivities at a nearby resort. Loved the small amenities like coffee and linens. Property management was extremely responsive to questions and made the stay very easy. House is fascinating and quirky with some definite challenges (those staircases!) but we knew ahead of time about those and were prepared. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful place with lots of character.

Enjoyed the property. Well appointed house. The stairs were treacherous especially for older people

This is a beautifully restored getaway that was right across from a bike trail. They also had a canoe and kayaks available with a dock to launch. Annapolis is only 20 minutes away and the owners were so kind and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here.

This 1700 farm house is a special retreat and fun place to stay with a large group of family and friends. The history and antiquity of the farm house is evident in every room. Clean. Fun. Glen, the host, is fantastic and provides local info plus their dog Gus who strolled in for a morning hello, charming. Definite retreat for adventurous family and friend group. I highly recommend.

Cool old house but only the main stairs are reasonable to climb but only have a railing part way. My older mother couldn’t get up the maid stairs and slept on the couch. My brother who has no handicaps but not athletic had a very hard time. The only way to get to the twin rooms is by this difficult stairs or crawling through a 2x4 door in the wall. The bathrooms were all renovated nicely. The upstairs ceilings and doorways everywhere were low. Nobody over 5’10” should stay here. The hot water and water pressure were good. The pool was pretty but the water was cloudy. The kitchen space is good. There is a bathroom in the first floor but two difficult stairs with no hand holds. The hosts were great and the property is nice. I would not recommend for little kids, older kids would think the house is cool.

We were in town for a family wedding at nearby Kent Island Resort (5 minutes away) and stayed for a week to enjoy the area. This property was great for extended family (7 adults). It is an old house (low ceilings, creaky floors and steep stairs), but it was all disclosed, so there were no surprises and was as expected. The house has tremendous charm and, as with most 200+ year old houses, has lots of connected rooms (perfect for extended families as everyone had their own space). The grounds were great and offered lots of space for our dogs to play. There is also a dog beach across the street!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is so full of character and the pool is awesome. We were close to Annapolis for days out and less than an hour to DC. We loved being able to bring our dog Daisy. Thank you to Glen for being a great host.

Our group of two families had plenty of room in this beautiful old home. The kids loved the pool and the grown ups loved the ability to dock their boats for easy access to the bay during our stay. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Enjoyed our stay at this historic home. Took in local park and beach along with a wedding at The Beach Club just minutes away. Easy drive to all Annapolis locations. Not A bad commute to DC. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with all of our needs.

We stayed here as a quick getaway for our USNA midshipman. Close to Annapolis, easy access to shopping, restaurants and running trails. We Day tripped to Wye island(hiking) and St. Michael’s. In the evening we ate dinner outside by the fire pit and enjoyed the stars and natural setting.
House was an amazing antique- like staying in a museum but with updated kitchen and bathroom. I really enjoyed the 1700s construction details. You Will rarely get this kind of access to an historic treasure.
That being said- this house is not for folks with mobility issues. Stairs are 1700s designed and would be tricky.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This property is large and relaxing. Exploring this home with three separate stairways and interesting rooms was an adventure in itself. A brief history of the home is included in the Welcome book. Well worth the read. Property borders a tributary to the Chesapeake with a dock. At night, there’s a fire pit to enjoy. Overall, made for a great weekend.

Short stay for wedding at Chesapeake Beach Club - super convenient. House had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Very clean. Loved walking to the docks in the afternoon.

We had a lovely weekend at Glen’s house on Kent Island. There is a bike path just across the street and we had a lovely ride to the end of the island. We also visited the Love Point Winery nearby. The house was very unique, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys history. The kitchen was well stocked and the grounds were enjoyable. It was a little too chilly to kayak but had it been warmer the access to the creek was right there. We enjoyed a fire pit under a full moon. It was a perfect weekend getaway!

I booked this home for my sons wedding. The wedding venue was Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. This place was a perfect location, only a mile. I needed to decompress before the wedding and this place was a perfect zen. My little Chihuahua loved the grounds to run on and got to meet Gus. I cant say enough good things about this beautiful property. Plan on booking again, just so we can enjoy the place more.

Our family really enjoyed our time on the property! It's a really neat house and was well-stocked (I'd brought coffee/toilet paper/beach towels, etc., but all of that was supplied by the owners) It's a truly beautiful and unique house. I loved that there were multiple places to gather and good reading nooks. Just a heads up -- this home was built in the late 1600s. So, a couple of the staircases are really steep. Since the bedrooms are upstairs, this may be a challenging home for someone with mobility issues. The house is on a beautiful property - there's a creek nearby and the owners provided kayaks and a canoe. The pool is next to the house and we enjoyed a lot of time in it. It's a very peaceful setting and we loved watching the chickens on the property roam throughout the day.

I stayed here with my husband, three young children (4-6 yo), and parents. The property was clean and comfortable with close access to beaches, a pool on premises and lots of land to explore. The unique and historic layout of the house offered plenty of space and the rooms with single beds were perfect for the kids. The area is not overly developed or touristy, which we appreciated, but there was easy access to restaurants and shopping.
I would definitely consider staying here again, and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends. Everyone had a great trip.

I enjoy historic homes and being able to stay in one was a blast. It was quite special to stay in a 300 year old structure with lovely wood trim, original wood floors and a mix of antique furniture pieces. Modern kitchen and updated bathrooms made the home very comfortable, and the great a/c was very much appreciated. The pool was large and really nice, and walking the grounds was peaceful. A truly fantastic historical retreat.

Had a great stay. In the area for a wedding with 5 adults and 22 old month grandson. We spent most of the time swimming and hanging out in the pool area. A couple of also enjoyed kayaking. The kitchen had everything we needed for a few simple breakfast and lunch meals.
Host were welcoming and accommodating.
Really unique historic house.

Peaceful Getaway
We were in town for a family wedding. There were 4 adults, my 9 yr old grandson & my grand-dog. Glen made it so easy to communicate with (from booking to check-out). He was extremely responsive, inviting and and truly genuine.
We absolutely loved the history of the house, it was so comfortable and relaxing. Glen & Georgia have done a great job of making their home feel like your home. The property itself is beautiful and really makes you feel "welcomed". Great morning walks & riding paths. We loved meeting Gus, and the daily visits from the "Lady Gang" (the beautiful Hens). My grandson enjoyed the pool (with his giant Unicorn). The location was perfect for our wedding on Saturday (10 mins away), but close to many other attractions (restaurants, shopping & Ice Cream). We truly enjoyed our stay (although short) and will definitely be back.
Thank you Glen & Georgia for making us feel so "welcomed".
