Not only was Riverhouse unbelievably clean, wonderfully decorated, and absolutely beautiful but it had so much to offer. Tubing on the river, biking on the trail, hot tub, bonfires, gym, books, games, close to town, shopping, breweries, and beaches! And the hosts were extremely accommodating. Our party of seven had plenty of room to roam, lots of privacy, and so much to keep us active and busy. The house also went above and beyond with supplies. Extra beach towels, tubes, baby booster, playpen, and stroller! We hope to make Riverhouse a summer tradition:)

We really loved our stay at River House. A beautiful home with lots of room for our 9 family members. We had everything we needed. We played in the river, made our meals there and just hung out. There were 2 fire pit areas that were excellent! We had a great host and friendly people!

My family wanted to visit Michigan (we are from another state) and stay in a cabin. This was perfect! We enjoyed the cabin, the river, the hot tub, the game room! We made many core family memories there. Love the coziness and how easy it was to do the local sightseeing. The owner was very helpful whenever we asked a question. Great place!

Great family getaway! Super quiet property tucked away in the wilderness. We tubed the river every day. The kids had a blast. The cabin is spacious and comfortable. We made use of the hot tub and fire pit daily also. Excellent communication with Kenyatta before and during our stay. Thanks!

Riverhouse was so peacful and secluded. I Iliked the quietness of the place. The house itself has everything you need. All of throws were so cozy, many places to curl up and read a book. The host were always available and friendly.

Our visit to Indian River for my son's wedding was nothing short of magical, and the River House cabin played a pivotal role in making it special. Our family and friends, who traveled from North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, and downstate Michigan, found a welcoming retreat.
From the moment we booked, Kenyatta was accommodating and responsive. She thoughtfully checked in upon our arrival and offered suggestions for things to do.
Our guests all loved the cabin. With a party of 8 adults and 2 teenagers, it offered the ideal layout, ensuring that we could cook, converse, gather around the fire pits, soak in the hot tub, do yoga by the river, and relax without feeling crowded. It is well-stocked, and every bed and piece of furniture is exceedingly comfortable.
There is a multi-use trail that runs parallel to the cabin. We enjoyed walking it and will plan to bring our bikes next time.
While the cabin feels secluded, it is conveniently located and only a 10-minute drive into the town of Indian River. Petoskey and Mackinac Island are within a half hour.
We hope to return to River House next summer with more time to explore the area. Our sincere thanks go out to Kenyatta for making this incredible trip even more special.

Well initially I thought the property was too large it really exceeded our expectations. The pictures did not give us the feel the want to be there until we actually stepped through the door.
Well done.

We had a great time at River House. The property was very clean and welcoming. We had one slight problem with the egg grill, but Kenyatta was very accommodating and even though the part that was broken couldn’t be fixed during our stay because of something out of her control, she was right on it.
The house was beautifully decorated and clean. If we ever go back to that area of the state, we’d love to stay there again!

The house is lovely and the property is beautiful. We used the fire pit one evening and sat by the river a few times.

Words can not express how much we enjoyed ourselves at the cabin. We will definitely be staying again. The check in and check out was smooth. Beds where so comfortable.
Location was perfect what we wanted to do.
The highlight of our trip was the river tube cruise, ( tubes provided)We went off the bridge down the street and 30 min later we floated right down to the cabin. We warmed up in the hot tub the snuggled in with the warm cozy bathrobes !

Our family had the best time. The kids loved tubing down the river and we all enjoyed our campfires in the backyard. Most of all we loved the seclusion and being in the middle of the woods. Lots of room to explore and relaxing in the hot tub. Excellent communication with our host Kenyatta. Great for families!

The house was absolutely perfect for our group. We had 3 couples, a 24 year old, and a toddler. It was plenty of space for us all under 1 roof. The grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend! Thanks Kenyatta!

This cabin is gorgeous. The warm cozy feel and 2 plush robes per room. The hot tub was perfect for the chilly weather. The grills needed charcoal and gas tank that wasn't available or empty. We could have used chlorine for the hot tub and a skimmer. Beyond that, it was a lovely stay. Spacious and we did not feel 8 adults were on top of each other during our 5 day stay! Very child friendly as well!

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay at Riverhouse. The cabin is perfect for families or bigger groups with a huge kitchen, multiple hangout spaces, and 4 rooms to sleep in with a lot of beds (not even counting the couches/pull-out)! The place was really well-equipped with pots/pans/utensils/knives for cooking, lots of towels, sheets, essentials, etc., and offered awesome amenities with the hot tub, fire pit, and 2 different outdoor decks, each with sitting areas and grills. We thought it was the perfect mix of classic home-y cabin feel while still being comfortable and updated.
It is pretty secluded in the woods - that being said, bug spray is obviously a must, and watch out for ticks closer to the riverfront. We spent most of our time sticking close in/around the cabin, but Petoskey was a short 30ish min drive away and we enjoyed hanging out there for an afternoon of food/drinks/coffee.
Check-in/check-out were a breeze and the owner/s were very friendly and quick with responding the few times we had questions/needed something. Overall, we couldn't really have asked for more and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Riverhouse to anyone looking for an up north getaway. Hope to be back soon!

The place was amazing. We had more than enough space for spending over due, quality, family time. Perfect location, was able to take the family into Petoskey for some lunch and shopping to make it back in time for a warm fire outback, a little bit of star gazing, all while listening to the river flow. Left with cherished memories.

Hidden gem in the woods and nice walk to river. Although you can’t see the river from the house in summer with all the trees but the pathway to the river is nice!!! Very accommodating with all the stuff you need in the cabin!! We will be back again!!!
