Reviewer Comments:
We enjoyed our girl's weekend in this beautiful home. The area was quiet and calm and in a convenient location. 10-15 minutes from the casinos and beach. For the most part the home was clean. The bathroom tubs/showers had some staining and there were some spots on the upstairs bathroom that looked like dried blood. The kitchen was clean. There was lots of dust under the couches that can be seen when you are walking up the stairs. The beds were comfy, and sheets, blankets and pillows were clean. We were provided with clear directions and instructions. My PSA, there are a lot of stairs in this place. Up and down to the unit, and to the bedrooms and restrooms. Also, since we are required to empty trashes, be prepared to drive about 2 minutes away to the dumpster area. It is not walking distance.

The house is in need of a deeper clean. In the surface it was clean but looking closer it needs more cleaning. At the foot of the sofa behind the magazine table there is an old dirty sock that it appears has been there for a while

Loved this Place! We chose it for the location and the views and both were excellent. Well equipped and clean. Yes each room is on a different level... but each level had an incredible view Only request would be more chairs on each balcony!

This property had everything needed for a girls' get-away. The location was close to everything and the property had everything we could ask for.

We had an excellent time in Lake Tahoe in a very luxurious house, very comfortable and with a lot of space which was great with four Kids. This place is gorgeous. Everyone should go see it once in its life time !

Reviewer Comments:
New to vacation rentals and probably won't be doing that again. View was great but the property was dirty, dingy and not as described. The carpet needed to be replaced about 20 years ago and the bathrooms were new but dirty. There was a large cob web nest in the corner of our bedroom that looked like it had been there for a year. I realize the place was old and that was fine but the home was dirty. We had wanted to cook and enjoy family time but we found ourselves skiing,sleeping and spending every second away from the house. The furniture was old too and it was fine but nothing to write home about. We did watch the playoffs because we couldn't get into a sports bar and the tv set up was fine. I guess the only good thing to say was it was cheap. We also were greeted by a chop saw at the front door so maybe they are going to work on the place. If my grandbabies would have been with me I would have left and checked out. No way no how would I have stayed there with kids. I never took my shoes off. Like my husband says "nothing that time and money can't take care of."

Pros: Amazing view from the property, location is quite good. Cons: Carpet needs to be changed, it's old and looks pretty dirty. Unit was clean, but old/dirty carpet was making it to not look good. We struggled a lot with heating the rental unit evenly (like sweating in lower levels and freezing in upper level) There are 4 floors in the house, and each floor was at a different temperature all night (Top floor room heater was not working at all) There is only one thermostat at the bottom floor (weird location and was hard to find in the beginning since its location was not mentioned anywhere), had to change thermostat settings since it was going off every couple of hours and turning off the heater. Beds were okay (with spring mattress) and not very comfortable.

first thing the heater in the place was on a schedule that did not make sense had to get up three to four a night to adjust heater terrible. The down stairs bath toilet broke the inside metal rod rusted off and broke. The unit shows in pictures that one room has a jacuzzi not true. It was hard to stay there per heater not working correctly all the rooms were in different levels that was not mentioned.
not very happy!!!!!

The view from this property was outstanding, location was excellent, the only downside is that the carpets were very dirty and stained, the entire place needs a deep cleaning. The fireplace was broken, not a big deal in summer, but essential for a winter stay. Overall we had a good time.
Thank you.

Overall the property met expectations. The views were amazing. There are a lot of stairs but they weren't an issue for us. Cooking proved to be difficult as many supplies you might find in other rentals weren't available. We had salt but no pepper. Cooking oil ran out after the first night of cooking. There was nothing to put leftovers in as there were no bowls or containers with lids nor was there aluminum foil or saran wrap. Lastly we had a moth infestation one night in the room on the top level. We couldn't find where they were coming in as all windows had screens but I bet we killed 30 moths one evening.

The views are incredible. The amount of space is perfect. The stairs are a bit much and the carpet needs to go other than it’s awesome. I would stay again

Black Bear Lookout 3 was a wonderful place to stay for an amazing view of Lake Tahoe. You may want to reconsider staying here if you have difficulties with stairs as none of the three bedrooms are on the main floor. The only reservations that I had about this unit besides the accessability to bedrooms and outdated decor was the cleanliness of the main room. It needed a good dusting and their were frito's and popcorn pieces on the carpet around the main floor from previous tenants. The bathrooms were very clean and with plenty of TP. An update of pillows for each bedroom and shams are really needed. Kitchen was well stocked and was able to fix a fine meal. We enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back. Thanks .

Great location and beautiful lake view, but with poor house supplies for a vacation house rental. No soap, shampoo etc.

The view from the dining room and all three bedrooms was beautiful, All appliances worked well. Great to have a washer and dryer. Bathrooms for each bedroom was definitely a plus. The first night there it was pretty cool, especially the lowest bedroom. Next day we saw the maintenance man outside, he checked the heat and fixed it, required a new thermostat. We had turned on the fireplace for some warmth, it did come on until an hour later. It may need to be checked. The rugs could use a good shampooing, bare feet or socks got pretty dirty. There were many cobwebs around and mirrors and windows were very streaky. I am just saying these things for the next rental.
A lot of stairs, a very unique setup! Overall, it was a GREAT place to stay. We would stay there again!

This was our first time in Tahoe. The views from this unit are breathtaking!! The stair are a challenge even for us middle agers. Lol
Would stay here again. Close enough to everything and again the views are AMAZING.

Great Location and the most incredible views! Beds were comfortable, unit setup was nice. We did have a little trouble finding the parking spot, but they called us right back with the information. A very good experience overall!

Amazing view of Lake Tahoe from all rooms. Short drive to Heavenly Ski Resort. For the area the price is quite reasonable.
Family ski trip, worked out great. The home is one of 4 units in a single building. Very clean but old and worn interior. Kitchen is small and has only the basic equipment. Extensive stairs to climb in this four story unit, might not be suitable for all.
We had some transportation issues that led to early arrival and late check out. The house keeping staff was very understanding. The manager is very serious about 10:00 AM check out time, so be sure you are aware of earlier than average check out.

Great views and overall a decent place to stay but for the price the property management company should have at least provided soap and shampoo in the showers.

1. "Two designated parking spots" = street parking a house away from condo which was not plowed. If you are planning to stay during winter, bring a snow shovel. The property management has people staying, they should make sure the parking is accessible and plowed for guests;
2. The walkway and stairs were also not cleared for guests with lots of potential for slip and falls as the condo is not easily accessible from the front of the building to be able to unload/load belongings;
3. The carpet is filthy dirty. It needs to be replaced;
4. The pictures online give the impression that the living room/kitchen/dining area are quite large when, in fact, it is not the case. It is smalll and the kitchen is outdated. There is some sort of metal contraption coming out of the wall underneath the TV which esthetically is unattractive but also a liability. You can easily get caught on the piece of metal;
5. The view was absolutely beautiful but you could not access the decks as the snow was piled so high. The decks should have been cleared before tenants arrived for the stay;
6. All of the bathrooms had half rolls of toiletpaper which just seemed very odd knowing people were arriving;
7. The queen room pillow cases had makeup on the pillow cases;
8. The bathrooms were outdated;
9. The furniture, i.e., side dressers were not dusted and had a significant amount of dust;
10. No extra blankets for guests.
I hope the owners of the condo are reading this review and the management company makes more of an effort to the upkeep of the condo.
The positive is that the views are beautiful, it's close to Heavenly, and check-in/checkout is seamless, but with the cost of the condo with all the extra fees I would not rent this place again.

I stayed at this property with my family. We had about six people in total. The views from the property are amazing. They do actually look like the pictures. The house set up is little odd in that the bedrooms all are on different floors. Living space is comfortable and kitchen is functional. No complaints about the property that would stop me from coming back. I will say that if you are an adult, don't stay in the twin bedroom. The twin beds feel like they're spring mattresses from the 1960s. I would also be aware that this property is up a steep incline and you should bring a four-wheel drive car if it's snowing.

Place had great views, convenient location and friendly neighborhood.Only complaint would be the mice. We drove to town to get traps and killed 5.

The view is amazing, especially for the third and fourth floors. In this area, it is one of the best place for stargazing at home. It is also suitable for drone to fly at the balcony. There is a fireplace creating a warm and artistic atmosphere. This location is close to some restaurants and markets.
The only suggestion is that it would be better and more convenient if the owner can provide shampoo, body wash, hair dryer and a better TV with subscription.
Overall, it is a great place and I strongly recommend my friends to live here when coming to Lake Tahoe.

It was a good experience over all.

Property location was great - small drive to lake but the distance was made up by the views. As noted by previous reviews the stairs are steep and the kitchen offers the basics. These were expected and not issues for us. Overall property was as expected and fit our needs
4.0
The view was unbeatable and the max 10 min drive to the shops and the outdoor concert venue (we were there to see Keith Urban) was awesome. We literally decided one morning at 10:15 to do an 11am sailing cruise and we were able to book it, get ready, and be at the dock with plenty of time to spare.
YES - There are A LOT of stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that would have a hard time with that. We are all in decent to great shape and were feeling it, but it made it really nice to have what we wanted which was space between us… We didn’t want my parents to feel like they had no privacy or that our 7 year old was too loud with his energy in the mornings. We would stay here again for sure.
It’s not modern if you’re really into that, but I personally loved the full mirrored wall in the living room so anyone at the dining table could enjoy the view even if your back was to it physically.
There are no shower amenities beyond water and towels/washcloths, but I always bring my own soaps and blow drier etc cause you never know… I prefer my own anyhow.
The biggest thing I would recommend for the owners would be to add fans on every level. It does get warm and then when going up and down so many stairs, you tend to get warmer. I saw one fan in a closet but it was broken.
One review before we went had mentioned dirty carpet, but it looked like it had been cleaned to me so that was totally fine.
I guess the only other amenities that I think would make it better would be more comfortable chairs for the decks. There were 2 on each level… we sat a dining chair out to all sit out there, but those weren’t as relaxing. Not a huge issue, but we all said if there were a couple more comfy chairs and even a chase lounge or two, we could just sit there all day looking out. - Bring binoculars for the nature and lake!
Oh -I do have to say, the deck railings made me nervous (I am a huge worrier though) because they felt like they were on the shorter side and wiggled quite a bit. I was able to tell my 7 year old easily to not lean on it or get close to it, but for younger kids who can’t understand the danger, I wouldn’t personally recommend. And I am sure these things have to be up to code so it’s probably fine, but I personally was nervous and think some other moms would be too.
Anyhow, yes, book it if your looking for a casual, not too pricey stay with plans to have time to relax and enjoy the sunsets! Thank you to the hosts for our stay!

Perfect condo for our girls trip. We all had plenty of space. Great location to Heavenly Village. We’ll definitely be making this an annual trip and staying in this condo!

Wow. The views were beautiful. The rooms were spacious, all including a beautiful view. As the description states, this property is on multiple levels. For our party, it was helpful as it offered some nice privacy. The property is located close to South Tahoe which meant all the restaurants, grocery stores and more were all accessible. Would definitely book here again!

Although the items in the condo are basic, so if you like to cook you might want to bring your favorite items, it is a wonderful place to stay. There are 4 floors, 3 of which have bedrooms and bathrooms of their own, which was amazing. The 4th is the living room and kitchen. All floors have amazing views of Lake Tahoe and all but one have balconies. We loved it here and would come again.

We had a wonderful stay! The views were amazing. At night you could see the lights at North Shore! The stairs are no joke, so be prepared, but the exercise was good for us 😂! Thank you for sharing the home with us.

The check in and out process was easy. Unfortunately, we had two nights which we were unable to stay due to flight cancellations. The location was great and easy to get to/find. There are alot of stairs but the listing did share this information so it was okay. We are all comfortable minus the heat of the day. Would be nice to have extra fans to plug in, if needed. The dishes were pretty dirty but there were supplies for washing and we did just that. Very close to store restaurants and attractions. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Overall we had a good stay!

The views were breathtaking but the property needs cleaning.
