About this cottage rental

Totally renovated Beach Cottage in seaside neighborhood. Steps away from the Beach Access and only blocks away from Seashore State Park and all it has to offer. There is a large living area with a 55" smart tv, full bathroom and large bedroom at the front. Step up to the kitchen area with all new ss appliances and another "as is" TV mounted in the kitchen. 2 bedrooms and another full bath are located just off the kitchen. Patio door leads to a small deck on the side of the home. 2 outdoor showers. There is a 1 car garage with an opener and new front load washer & dryer. Plenty of off street private parking for your beach going guests. Enjoy plenty of great local seafood restaurants and entertainment within minutes of this home. This is the best of bay living on the Bay side of Shore Drive. Everything you need to for you beach vacation.

This property has everything you need & more. Beautiful house, beautiful location & beautiful beach. Very private & low key but close enough to restaurants & social gigs to not feel isolated. I want to leave fewer stars because I don’t want too many people to learn about this place. 😉

Great property and great location! Very clean and had everything you would need for your stay including all the beach stuff!! I would definitely book again. The only thing I would recommend would be a better refrigerator, it didn’t really keep our food cold. Overall, great stay!

This has been our FAVORITE thusfar. Plenty of space, a block from the local part (not busy) of Virginia Beach. EVERY detail was thought of and was included. Beach Chairs, Beach carry wagon, FLUFFY beach towels! Bedsc were great! Bathrooms roomy. Garage with ADDITIONAL washer and dryer. The outside shower to rinse feet, etc keeps everything neat. Gosh, i could go on and on! But... then our next dates MAY not be available because YOU'LL have booked! LOVE LOVE LOVE this space!

We really loved staying at this beach cottage. While we were in and out due to schedule, we wish we had more time to chill and enjoy the amenities and all the nice touches this home provides, rather than just resting our heads for a couple nights.The beds are comfy and this old beach cottage has been so wonderfully updated while still maintaining its early beach cottage vibe. We look forward to coming back to truly sit back and relax for a few days, chill on the bay beach, watch the sunsets and hike the parks nearby. Truly a gem of a cottage.

We stayed from mid to late April and found the cottage lacking for nothing. The location was fabulous, so close to beach access and incredible sunsets. Highly recommended.

Our stay was great! There was an old musty smell every time you went out and came back. Lighting wasn’t great in the upper level but that is the only negative aspects I can mention. Location and the neighbours were spectacular. All amenities were provided and I would stay there again! Thanks so much!

The cottage may look small from the initial picture, but there is so much room to relax and enjoy that this is the perfect location no matter what the weather gives you. Two separate lounge areas inside, and one on the covered front porch. A great neighborhood to walk and just one block to the beach. The owners make beach days a breeze by providing a cart, chairs, and beach towels. Food prep in the well stocked kitchen or using the grill will help cut expenses. A grocery store is mere minutes away. Peaceful nights in three very comfortable bedrooms. It is amazing how quiet it is even though you are just off a busy road. We also discovered a really cool bike/hiking path with access across the road that takes you to the nearby State park. We were only in the area Thursday - Sunday for a wedding but could definitely see spending a few weeks here!

Clean, comfortable, and perfect vacation rental. This cute cottage had everything we could possibly need. We prepared a thanksgiving feast for 8 people in the kitchen and it was more than adequate and was completely stocked with whatever equipment needed. Highly recommend this rental.

This house was perfect for creating memories with our family while we were visiting family in VA Beach! We all loved being steps away from the beach, and the wagon for hauling the beach gear was awesome! Our boys loved the outdoor shower as well. The house was well stocked from the kitchen to the linens, making our stay that much easier. We also made good use of the outdoor grill. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a comfortable stay in a convenient location! Thank you for sharing this charming beach cottage with us! -The Guilfoyle Family

Clean and updated property just steps from the bay in one of my favorite VA Beach neighborhoods. The home had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable. Beach wagon in the garage with chairs, towels, toys. Property Manager, Marcus, was excellent and very accommodating. We will be back! Great property and location!

This is a cute, older cottage that has been nicely updated and is in a great location. There is plenty of room to spread out in the house, and there is a lovely and well-equipped kitchen (and outdoor grill). The owners provide all the equipment you need for a fun day on the beach, along with a beach buggy to easily transport everything. For us, the best part of this VRBO was the location – a very short walk to beach access (only about a half-block away). Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our week so close to the bay! The two outdoor showers proved to be a game changer when getting two kids showered after the beach! The house was a bit damp but that is sadly that is par for the course for houses in that area due to the high humidity of the area due to being so close to the water/the area is tree covered and no fault of the owners. The weather itself was super humid the week we were there and they had a humidifier that ran most of the time we were there.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful little cottage just steps away from the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. The owners provide everything you could possibly want, including an enclosed outside shower, a comfy front porch and a side deck. There is obvious thought given to every detail. The property manager was always available and responsive to any questions. My only disappointment was the inexplicable unavailability of our favorite cable news channel. Otherwise, it was all you can hope for in a beach rental.

This was our first official visit to the Virginia Beach area. We’ve been to Williamsburg in the past, but we’ve never really spent any time down by the shore. We’re so glad we chose this Marcus’ property for our stay. Away from the hotel dense areas so the beach is relatively empty. Walking distance to the beach (seriously, unless you’re on the beach you’re not much closer), walking distance to groceries, a restaurant and quality ice cream. You know, the really important stuff. The house provides great amenities as well: beach chairs, wagon, beach towels - all the stuff you can leave home and save space in your vehicle. Beds we’re comfortable, room for a family of four to spread out and a full kitchen so you can save money and not have to eat out. All around a great place for us and any other small family.

We were in Norfolk to welcome our son back from a 9 month deployment. This cottage worked perfect. We loved the outdoor space. The rocking chairs were the best! It gave us a great space to just relax and visit with him. We stayed 3 nights. Would loved to have stayed longer.

Very nice property - homey and comfortable. I never received check in or check out instructions via email. When we arrived we had to contact Vrbo because we contact the property manager to request the door passcode. When he didn’t respond we had to contact Vrbo to intervene. When he finally responded he didn’t even apologize. The night before checkout we requested check out instructions via text but he never responded. This lack of communication made check in and check out stressful. It took away from the enjoyment of our stay. We won’t use this property again.

This property is in a great location - and is super comfortable, clean, and has beach items on-hand in the garage. The beach is a very short walk on a dead-end street with very little traffic. Restaurants and a grocery store are also in walking distance. We had a great stay and look forward to booking this property again in the future!

We absolutely loved this place, and the neighbors! My family stopped by to have lunch and we played cornhole, and just sat around and talked. Dinner out- yummy seafood! The place is much bigger than it looks, and so comfortable! We will definitely rebook here!

This cottage is an original cottage that has been upgraded to make it comfortable and new. I love the location of the house. It is in the best area of the beach that is away from all of the tourists. This is a great place for families. We enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I stayed four nights and absolutely loved the place. We relaxed and each had our area to watch tv, read or catch up on phone calls. Loved the modern updates and the cottage quaintness. Communication with owner was immediate and friendly.

The house was clean and as represented in the photos and description on vrbo. My family especially appreciated the location relative tot he beach, restaurants, and First Landing State Park. We would recommend this rental and would be happy to stay there again.

We had a fabulous time!!! Great location and had absolutely everything we needed and more !! Everything was clean, comfortable and we just moved in and made ourselves at home. Great beach and beautiful sunsets just a few houses away. We also had great weather in October. Would definitely like to return and have more time the next time!!
