We had a two-night stay. And since we were so close to the harbor, it made for easy walks to the points of interest nearby; easy walk to the harbor. We could see the harbor from out the windows. We cooked on the newer clean grill. You need to sign into your own Roku account to use the TV which we did to see the Olympics.

Very clean and well supplied house. Excellent location close to the harbor

Great location. Too small refrigerator for a family of 10 for a week. Too small garbage cans outside. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated.

This is a great property in a great location for taking advantage of all of the things there are to do around Booth Bay. Close enough for a quick walk to town for a coffee in the morning and within a 10 minute drive of any of the other things we wanted to do in the area! The house is clean and a good size. Not much outdoor space for the kids to play, it did look in the listing as if it had more of a yard, but we didn’t spend a lot of time hanging around the house to need it anyway.

We rented this for a long weekend for Bowdoin graduation. I wanted something to bring a great northeast/New England experience for my family who’ve never been to Maine. The house has been beautifully updated, rooms were very comfortable and an awesome location - easily walkable to/from town even if a little hilly. Only feedback for improvement would be to have more mirrors in bedrooms so people can get ready outside of the bathroom- it was challenging on the days we all had to get out the door at the same time (8 people). Also of note- the house is old, so electrical outlets are limited (in a few bedrooms)- had to buy an extension cord for a c pap machine. Lastly, looks like the driveway was expanded so we fit 3 cars easily (even though I bought an extra parking spot in town as the listing says only 2 spots). I highly recommend this great house!

I booked this house for Mother's day weekend. My family and I had a good time and there was plenty of space for the kids and adults to spread out. It is a very old house, and it shows. The floors and doors are creaky, and the heat only worked downstairs. There were space heaters upstairs at least. We didn't get to spend much time on the patio, but that was partly due to the neighbor. My stepdad had an incident where he didn't notice their "private property" signs and mistakenly left a chair on their side. Instead of talking to him, the neighbor waited until he went inside and slammed the chair against the stairs. Then the kids tried to play outside but the neighbor's dog kept barking incessantly and it wasn't pleasant. We had some cleanliness issues but Vacasa was very responsive to us and even offered to have someone come out the next morning to rectify the issues.
Overall, we had a good stay.

The cottage is lovely. Really well kept, spacious and centrally located to walk to everything you need. The bedrooms are perfectly appointed, and beds were really comfortable. We spent tons of time in the large open kitchen. The place has modern amenities while keeping the historic charm of the house and the neighborhood. The area has excellent shops and restaurants. The cottage is also well situated for short road trips to Southport Island and Ocean point in East Boothbay for incredible open ocean views. The only quirk we encountered was parking. Since there are so many bedrooms, there were several adults staying at the cottage from different parts of New England. The two car limit created a pretty decent situation for us to solve. The VRBO team had no option, and suggested calling the chamber of commerce. They didn't have off-season overnight parking. They suggested calling the gas station a few blocks away, which we did, and they had spots for us to rent , but it was their last weekend of the season, so that's something to note. That was sorted out, and we had a fantastic Fall weekend in a gorgeous, spacious cottage in beautiful Boothbay Harbor!

The heater was turned off when we arrived. There was no central heat or AC on the second floor. We didn't enjoy our stay and wouldn't return or recommend it.

Great location to the mid-coast attractions.

Great location, clean house. However, limited kitchen equipment, dishes, coffee cups, etc. for a house that sleeps 10. Also, only an apartment-sized refrigerator, no ice maker, two-burner grill. Makes it difficult to cook meals in the house for more than 3-4.

I was hosting a group of family and friends who were coming and going, and the location in Boothbay Harbor was perfect, so that folks could be independent (coffee here, drinks there, lobster roll plus ONLY at Dunton’s, so perfect and close by!). The oven smoked too much to be useable (even on preheat and after communicating with Vacasa and our trying multiple oven cleaning sprays). There was a broken bed support for the bed on the main floor (communicated to Vacasa, but no reply) and black mold in the upstairs shower (should be easy to fix!). Otherwise, a great property - although I would note that there’s is an odd and treacherous drop down step for the upstairs - I just left a bag there, so no one would step down 3 steps instead of going on the other side of the top stairs, where it was easier! But spacious, clean, and well located!

This was a great house to spend a family vacation week in Maine. Its newly renovated house had plenty of room. The location was great, within walking distance to Boothbay Harbour.

This property was spacious and super clean. The management was very helpful when we needed something. Just make sure you read details on the Vacasa site about pets in case anyone has allergies since pet dander is microscopic so no amount of cleaning can get rid of allergens. That was my oversight and most won't have any issue.

11 Sherman Street is a lovely home. We took note that it was immaculate upon our arrival. The home was very comfortable and well equipped. The location was ideal - on a quiet street and within easy walking distance to downtown. We had a wonderful stay!

This house was easy walking distance to town, with convenient parking out front. The beds were comfortable although 2 baths for 5 BR might be a challenge if you have a lot of people. The back deck was lovely! There is no central AC. Looked just like the pictures!

Plenty of room for 5 adults, walking distance to the shops and restaurants on the water, grocery about a mile away. Recently added window a/c units in 2 rooms with additional fans made all the difference with unusually hot temperatures for a few days. Great visit!

A nice home with a quick walk to town. Interesting topography- rocks and hills with beautiful views. We loved the deck, the cute house, and the ability to have family together. Thanks!

We took a multi-generational extend family vacation and loved to find a home that could accomodate a large group so close to town. Be prepared to walk uphill, but the quiet, convenient location is worth it. Vacasa was sometimes slow with responses to questions in advance of vacation but were excellent and super responsive once we were there. Would happily return!

Great place to stay for a girls' trip. We could walk to town which is also a wonderful place.
Plenty of room for six women; this was our 33rd annual girls' trip. The neighbor next door was very nice.

House was great, in a good location, we could walk into town in 3 minutes. Very roomy, beds were comfortable, kitchen had ample supplies.
only complaints only gave one bath towel per person(the women all had long hair would have liked 2, one for body one for hair) and they did not supply a broom/mop in case you needed to clean.

Great stay in Boothbay!
My husband and 2 other adult friends/family and I stayed for 3 nights. The house was clean, well appointed and an easy walk to Boothbay center and all the attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. Just be warned- the hill that the house is on seemed to get steeper each time we walked home from town. Either that or we are more out of shape than we thought??

Girlfriend Birthday Get-Away
Seven friends celebrated a milestone birthday at this clean and comfortable property. It was not walking distance for us to shops and restaurants but only a few minutes drive. The beds were comfortable and there were enough linens and towels for everyone. Easy access and egress with codes. We all agree that we wished we had another day or two to spend in Boothbay Harbor!

Great Boothbay getaway with friends
This house was the perfect place for our group of friends to stay for a wedding. We were a 6 minute walk from the main street in boothbay with great food and coffee options. The house was clean, newly renovated and had plenty of space inside and outside on the porch to hang out. Would stay here again if the occasion presented itself.

House was very clean. It wasn't big enough for the 8 of us (4 adults and 4 teenage boys) with the 2 bathrooms and overall small spaces of the rooms. No closet in our room which was an inconvenience but we made it work. It got warm a couple of days and without AC in the house (except for a couple window units - 1 in each of 2 bedrooms) it made for uncomfortable sleeping. But the house is charming and we loved the walk to the harbor and all the restaurants and shops. I would stay again if it was just my family.

Our home served as a great launching point for our family trip to BH. We were unfortunate to go during the midst of a heat wave but the combo of a couple of window AC units and numerous fans made it bearable. Otherwise, quiet at night, enough pots and pans to make meals for a family, clean and confortable.

Wonderful Place to Stay
We have rented many properties in Boothbay Harbor over the years. This house is wonderful! We loved the proximity to town since it’s just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The house was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of room for our family to sit and watch t.v., cook together or just sit on the deck.

Fun getaway
We enjoyed our stay, close to everything we wanted and bonus water views. We were a party of 6 and the property easily accommodated us. The fridge is small for that many guests so we shopped daily or ever other day as Hannaford is very accessible from the property and for the pantry type items we used the China cabinet in the living room to store those type of items due to limited cabinet space.

My sister and I spent a lovely long weekend at this property and would highly recommend both the location and home. The house itself is very thoughtfully decorated and looks exactly like the listing. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had more than enough space with just two of us, though did remark that the living space was limited so a group of more than 4-5 might feel a bit on top of each other, particularly in colder months when the fantastic deck is not an option. The kitchen was very well appointed and served us well for cooking in most of the weekend. Property management was very attentive and helpful - couldn't have been better. The location in a residential neighborhood just up the hill from town was perfect. The walk into town is about 5 minutes. Between off-season and Covid, there wasn't a whole lot open but we enjoyed walking around, window shopping and stopping for beers at the Footbridge Brewery. It was lovely and peaceful and exactly what we wanted for a quick weekend away.
