House was awesome and location/access great .. The cleanliness of the house was very bad. All bed sheets where nasty hairs and stains on sheets .. One bed had on mattress protector on it . Yard had not been mowed or weedeated in long time. If up keep was done this would be amazing as a nice creek with waterfall runs through yard.

Fantastic places to stay and we will be staying again in the future. My one Complaint is that the yard needed trimmed my one and a half year-old couldn’t even see over the grass. And that bunkbed was awful . All the other beds and couches were super comfortable. Kitchen had nice utensils and cookware. we loved it and want to go back

The hot tub is amazing! Listening, and watching the the creek with the small waterfalls while drinking coffee is very nice.

Group of 7 fiftyish year olds for a long weekend of skiing. House is directly across the street from the lower parking lot for Sugar Mountain skiing. Put your ski boots on and walk to the bus that will pick you up right there. House was nice but somewhat dated as all of the houses in this area are. Master bedroom has a fireplace and an updated bathroom. Had to log in to our own account to watch live TV. Kitchen was adequate and had what we needed for the weekend. Comfortable couches to relax. King in master, King in jacknjill bathroom set up, double bed under bunk bed on other side of bathroom, queen bed in last bedroom. Towels provided along with starter TP and Paper towels.
Amenities and responsiveness is where the star drop comes from...Pinball machine does not have a left flipper. We arrived on Friday and hot tub smelled like frog water. Maintenance came and drained it then re-filled so no use on Friday. No chemicals were put in tub. Was able to use it Saturday night after a full day of skiing. Back to Frog Water on Sunday morning. Ive had a hot tub for 30 years and never in 1 use has it gone to bad water. Called the 800# at 8:14 am and was told to expect a call shortly but had not received at 5:45pm so called back and was told nothing they could do...not the service I expected. Oh, but they did offer us $20 credit in 4-6 weeks.
If we had known the tub would have been an issue we would have just opted for a ski in/out instead.

The location is great for snowboarding at sugar mountain. The hot tub is the perfect place to relax after a day on the mountain.

Vacasa customer service was amazing. There need to have some electrical maintenance. Very few switches worked. No outdoor lights worked either

Location was amazing. Plenty of room for 7 adults. Lots of table and chair space! Great living room, with all-reclining furniture. Game room was great, but pinball machine only partially works. That being said, house needs maintenance. Mostly annoying stuff that’s easily fixed or replaced. Such as… bring all your own baking pans, theirs are dirty rusted and completely unusable. Fridge door missing all the shelves. Sink disposal didn’t work. Beds all comfortable, EXCEPT the bunk bed mattress (lower, didn’t use the top), was so uncomfortable we couldn’t use it.
Outside. Creek, beautiful and such a soothing sound. Hot tub was so nice and ran perfectly. But, everything was dirty, and this is where lack of maintenance really shows. It’s obvious no one maintains or cleans all of the exterior decks and stairs. Fire pit area, in complete disarray and furniture was awful. None of the parking area or path/steps down to the house are lit; there are lights but none of them work.
it’s pretty obvious the owners don’t ever visit or use the property. It could be an exceptional property for families if someone just put some effort into it.
Bottom line. If you are looking for a launching pad with plenty of space and a decent kitchen to prepare and eat meals before you head out for the day, this place works. Last note: if you bring your kids… there is no yard and zero outdoor space for kids to play.

Disappointed with the overall look of the building much older than presented, Jacuzzi was old and not so clean, so was the house. Missing pillowcases-which we needed several calls to get. I understand that the cleaning needs to be timely but also should have been more thorough...I felt we left the condo cleaner then when we got it. Would like to receive some refund for the cleaning fees.

This place could be awesome, but several factors made it not so. It wasn't ready on time for check in (by more than an hour) and it wasn't all that clean. There were moths in the fridge, unhooked smoke detectors in a pile in the kitchen - stuff like that. Not major, but not great. Also the ice machine didn't work. House and location were fine.

Better to start with the No's and finish with the Pro's. Upon arrival there was a musty smell in the house, one of no central A/C or simply being shut up for a while. There was trash on the back porch still and well as burnt beer 6 packs and vaping cartridges out around the chimenea. A vent was hanging out of the ceiling in the living room. One of the stove eyes doesn't work. Only one arcade game is functional, pin ball has missing button to be able to use L bumpers and POV shooting game never powered up at all. No hair dryer at all in house. Hot tub filthy. Never got above 94F and had gray "jellyfish' coming out of jets. As a hot tub owner, it's past time to be drained and fully cleaned. Last day on way out, heating element is shot in dryer. Washed clothes only to tumble dry with no heat for 45 minutes. Had to find a coin operated laundry on the way out of town. It's a dated property where pics are not truly revealing and obviously filtered when you review them online. So my wife and I began to clean. A lot.
The Pros, our property was ready early and we received the text. Our check-in info was clear and easy to follow. Someone had cut some firewood for us and left it on the back porch that burned great in a warming and inviting fireplace. This is a nice size house! Each and every room had a smart tv and was easy for our kids to use as we have Roku at home. The back porch was huge and great to hang out on. Kids loved the creek behind the property. More than enough level parking. Close to a ton to do from gem mining to great eating. Super close to Sugar Mtn resort, but I wouldn't walk with small children. the arcade game that did work has a ton to chose from, my son's favorite anyway. Upon contacting Vacasa, we had a hair dryer the next morning (had already left for the slopes) and they also refunded the cleaning/hot tub fees. They were unaware of the dryer upon departure. They called several times to assist us with our stay. We'd love to stay again and give 4+ stars but the owner needs to get involved as there are other properties nearby for just a bit more that seem more rewarding.

The house was never cleaned before we arrived, they dropped off clean linens when we notified them of the uncleanliness. We would never recommend Vacasa.

Would stay again.

Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. Kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub both nights. Easy walk to the slopes. Kids enjoyed the arcade room (2 of 3 were working). Happy parking was on a flat space (no hills).

This was an awesome property to stay at with a large group. We had a wonder fall weekend away with our kids (2-16yo) and the home was perfect. The creek outside was a favorite, there was adequate seating, very adequate space for sleeping, and the location was perfect for getting in and out easily (not much travel up mountain roads). It would be an ideal location for a ski group as it is a very reasonable walk to the ski lodge on Sugar. I will say that, like more homes that are listed for this size group, if you are planning on eating meals there the home could use about double the silverware. That would be my only suggestion.

We stayed in many places before but this was the best. The house was spacious with all the necessities of life. The game room was a joy for kids and hot tub was so relaxing. We will stay with Vacasa again if the rates for per night are reasonable because sometimes they are on the high side.

Overall, it was ok. Compared to other VRBO homes rented, I thought this was a little cheap in the essentials department. No paper towels in the kitchen. Limited to 2 kitchen trash bags. 3 "complimentary" laundry pods. It boasts of a game room -- 1 of the arcades doesn't work at all. Another has a number of very old late 80s/early 90s fighting games you can 't figure out how to play. So the pinball machine is it. This was one of the reasons we chose this house, for the game room. The area is beautiful. The stream behind the house is minimal and the body of water you seen in the picture -- there's no fishing. But, like I said, the area is beautiful.

Getting in was easy. The place was clean, beautiful and so relaxing. The kids loved it. We only planned a couple days there on our way to the beach and wish we would have done our whole trip there instead. Highly recommend this place. Parking was great compared to most that we seen. It really was great. Definitely be staying here again. Grocery store a few minutes away and close to grandfather mountain, which was amazing!!!!!

Chalet memories!
Our family absolutely LOVED everything about this chalet and the surrounding area! We loved the fire places, exploring the creek, the game room (our kids' fave), that each of our kids had their own room and we all loved the kitchen nook! It was a beautiful time of year to go with not many people. So many great places to hike and explore! The house was really clean and cozy, just perfect! None of us wanted to leave. Thank you for this peaceful place! We will be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. We had 3 generations of family on this trip, from 2 to 70 yrs old, and everyone was equally pleased. It was clean, comfortable, and made for an all-around good vacation. The furnishings were very nice, the kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms seemed newly remodeled and very nice. We loved the "mud room" in the entryway because there were plenty of hooks to hang wet ski clothes. The hot tub made for a relaxing evening, and all TVs had tons of movies for the kids. The game room was a unique and fun extra that we've never had in a rental home. The location was perfect for getting to the slopes. Our family loved this place so much that we will try to book it next year when we return to Ski Sugar! Thank you for sharing this amazing space with us for our family vacation!

My wife and I with our two boys 5&7 and our good friends with two girls 5&8 enjoyed every aspect of this property for the weekend. We happened to have a winter weather advisory hit us the night we arrived and the timing could not have been better. We tubed several times, we ice skated several times, we made snow angels and a snowman on the property by the creek and pond, we grilled out, ordered food from good nearby restaurants, hit the hot tub a few times to relax in the evenings, made a couple of fires, enjoyed the game room and had plenty of room for all to spread out with the ample bedrooms and bathrooms for all to feel comfortable. Overall rate this property and our experience with 5 stars and highly recommend for others looking for a similar experience. We already discussed coming back next year to hopefully hit the slopes with the kids being a year older and more experience under their belts. A huge thank you to the mgmt team and owners for taking such great care of this property and enabling us to have a blast for our winter getaway!

When we got there we immediately noticed that it hadn’t really been cleaned, there was trash randomly throughout the house. I had a clump of hair in the shower, Starbucks trash under the table, trash in the fireplace, and so on.
We asked for a later checkout because we had kids and the latest they could do was 10 am… which is crazy early especially with kids.
There were random areas in the house that were very dangerous, nails in the floor, floors being uneven, and so on.
Id also like to note that they have a grill listed as available to use but it looked like it had never been cleaned, gunk all over it.
