Christmas with family in a great location close to NYC. Lack of parking would be my only issue but that’s not something unique to this home. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks!

My main issue with this property was communication. I had zero communication up until the check in time. Ten minutes before check in, I received my first email with the key code and wifi password. After we went out to grab a bite to eat, we realized no hot water. My 86 year old dad showered in cold water. I had no way of communicating with the property manager. I tried looking at the listing for contact info but none existed. I tried responding directly to the VRBO email I received with the key code, and the property manager responded. I wouldn’t have thought an email directly from VRBO would be my only source of communication. He fixed the water issue within the hour. Next issue was finding out at 9pm that I needed a parking permit to park on the street. The listing on Expedia says parking on premises, nothing about a $5 parking permit required seven days a week. After back and forth emailing with the property manager, I found out I needed the parking permit. At that time, I had to go out and get a parking permit. Luckily they have street machines a few blocks away. Nice house, my old neighborhood so I love it, but communication was lacking. It could have been better. Check in email with instructions and check out email would have fixed my issues. Parking is difficult in the area. One night I drove around for 45 minutes before I found a spot seven blocks away to park. Finding parking is not easy and you better know how to parallel park as most spots are for small cars.

The townhouse was very comfortable. Rooms are large. Kitchen had everything you needed. Clean & well lit. The issue I had were bathrooms. The windows in the bathroom didn’t have any curtains or at least covers so we had to put towels so that neighbors wouldn’t see in while bathing. I recommend the get privacy films for windows. The air conditioners on windows left half the windows open where bugs or even intruders could get in. Parking is the biggest issue I’m this area. Took sometimes more than half hour to find a spot. You have to pay the town $5 a night for parking permit & look at restrictions. The area was perfect for travel into NYC & other parts of Jersey. I would consider staying here again if window issues are resolved.

This VRBO was just as advertised and exactly what we needed. The house was beautiful and had enough room for us and our 5 kids comfortably. It was much cheaper than staying in New York and an easy bus ride over. Property manager was very helpful and communicated accurately and quickly. We would definitely stay again if we went back.

This property was very great especially for family, unless you are not use to kids with noise, but I of course am. My only issue is the parking which can become a nuisance once you're trying to come & go. The parking info is in the listing however, it needs more detail in the description maybe even a picture to show what machine you'll need to use to acquire the appropriate daily/overnight parking. I was hit with a $100 parking ticket for street cleaning & no resident parking pass, it was dark at 8pm and did not see any signs until in the a.m. when I drove up the street. Overall, the stay was great and clean, all the bedding & linen was white and all 4 mattresses had zipper bed protectors so, had no issues or worries of bedbugs or any other rodents. I would stay here again.

This property was all and more my family was looking for. The property felt like home, it was spotless, organize, modern, and we'll taken care off. Roberto was great in giving advise on transportation and provided rapid responses during our stay. We felt hot on the 1st days because the AC was removed from the bedroom (Roberto explain that the weather was supposed to be cooler and that was why the units were removed) but as soos as i contacted Roberto, he showed up and brought an AC portable unit for each bedroom upstairs. I highly recommend everything about this place.

Let's start with the positive things: the condo looks as depicted here and is overall well equipped and maintained. The 4 sleeping rooms offer enough space - if all of them are usable. We definitively recommend some of the mexican restos nearby and a foot walk to Hudson river for a very scenic look on Manhattan.
The relative poor rating is due to a massive bed bug attack 2 of our group faced the first night. (More than 20 bites, some of them heavily itching for more than 1 week). As we were a bit anxious regarding appropriate use of insecticides we did not allow the host to try to fix this problem while we stayed there and avoided the sleeping room where the attack happened for the rest of our stay.
Besides you must be aware that it takes best case (speed bus is running) 20-30 min and typically 45-60 min to reach the central bus station in Downtown from Guttenberg and the New Jersey transportation provider is completely independent from New York public transportation. (means several tickets per ride).
Nonetheless I would like to close with 2 positive comments: the host refunded one night of our stay and was even offering to send a power bank back we forgot back to our homeplace (as it would be very costly to send to Germany we did not make use of this offer).

Simple, clean and great for families
The best part about our trip/stay with this VRBO was the responsiveness and assistance we got from our host with bus lines, nest routes to the city and some last minute and spur of the moment questions. We stayed with our family of 7, various ages and it was perfectly suitable, clean, and very quick and convenient trip (15-20 minutes) to tourist attractions and parking in NYC, or public transportation. Very convenient to drive to grocery stores or walk to busy street with small stores, restaurants or convenient stores. Thx for a great stay!
