About this house rental
Walkable to campus, this charming home was built in 1937. It has been recently updated and newly furnished, expect a clean and cozy visit in a quiet neighborhood.
It is a perfect location for a Notre Dame Game weekend (1.5 mile walk to Stadium, 1.2 to Compton Arena),or just to enjoy the city. It is a mile from Trader Joe's and Eddy Street Commons with tons of shopping and restaurants. I recommend pizza at Roccos and visiting the South Bend Farmers Market for local produce and handmade items.
This 2 Bedroom/1 Bath home comfortably sleeps 4 (Queen Bed in Bdrm 1 and 2 Twins in Bdrm 2) though can sleep 6 (my 42 year old back doesn't like pull outs anymore so recommend the king sized TV room pullout for kiddos). This is a great house for 4 adults or a family.
There is a full kitchen with a microwave, oven, gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods. You have all basic pots, pans and utensils for cooking. There is a dining room that comfortably sits 4. A fenced in back yard with a swing, complimentary Wi-Fi, board games,Smart TV and keyless entry for easy access. There is a working indoor wood fireplace.
This home is really special to my family and I am so excited to open my doors to others who will treat this home as their own.
There is absolutely no smoking or partying in this home or on the property. This is a family oriented neighborhood- please be respectful.

Erika provided a lovely sanctuary that we could call home while moving our daughter into her freshman year at Notre Dame. Communication was top-notch and started a week before move-in with email, text and even a phone call to discuss logistics. During the stay, texts were answered quickly. Plenty of space for our group of 3, and would also easily accommodate 4. The only concern was a lack of basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Thankfully we could get to a store and buy them, but those are typically found in VRBOs. Nice front porch swing and chairs, close to ND campus and neat and clean property.

Great location close to Notre Dame stadium. We were a group of 3 and the size of the place was perfect for our needs. Home was very clean/tidy, check-in was a breeze. No complaints on our end...Erika was a great host.

We cannot recommend this place more for anyone visiting Notre Dame!
-Communication / check in: Erika was a fantastic host and made it seamless to check in to her home. Though we arrived late from the airport, she continued to text us to make sure we arrived safely and without any issues.
-Location: It was perfect! Just over a mile from campus, it was only a 5 minute drive and is a pretty easy walk too (if you're not as lazy as we were). The neighborhood was very safe and quiet too.
-Property: The sleeping situation easily beat anything we could have found in a hotel, with several beds and a very comfortable futon. Not having to share a bed with 4 people is a huge win!
If you're looking for a place to stay when visiting ND, look no further than the Shamrock Sanctuary!

Everything was perfect and decorated cute, great neighborhood -- three suggestions though to make it a 5 star + it was missing some easy touches [1] a full length mirror any where in the house and mirrors by plugs so you can do your hair / makeup easily, with only 1 bathroom and 3 girls getting ready we were in a pickle and had to use our phones on mirror view [2] the phone entry lock system was challenging at the beginning to download the app etc, as much as we appreciated your quick help, it was a cluster, THEN after the late game our phones were all dead so we had to sit in car to charge just to open the door. [3] a few more coffee pods would have been ideal as we were there for 2 nights at a premium, would love to have had enough coffee for us. : ) But amazing place and happy to have had the space v a hotel.

My daughter and I stayed here for a week while she and her team were competing at an event at Notre Dame. The house was as described-cute, comfortable, home away from home. It’s on a nice, quiet street a little over a mile from the university sports arena. The property manager was very responsive to any questions. We hope to stay here again when we return to the area next year. Thanks again for a pleasant, relaxing stay!

We had a great weekend to watch the ND/Clemson game. The house is perfect in terms of accommodation for up to 5 adults. It's proximity to the ND campus was extremely convenient and we had just an exiting weekend. Thanks for opening your house to my family and friends!

We moved our daughter into Notre Dame and stayed at this lovely sanctuary. It's super close to the university campus, downtown, and Target.. all place you visit a ton when moving a kid to college. After a busy day, we loved coming back to our quiet home away from home.

Charming, Cozy Home/Great Location
I rented this home for Commencement Weekend 2022 at Notre Dame. The home was clean, bright and cheery. We especially appreciated the beds! They were so soft and comfortable for naps and a good night's sleep, especially after full days of ceremonies and celebrations. The host was very attentive to our needs and happy to answer all our questions.

Fantastic
This house looked so cute and I knew it was in a good neighborhood so booked it. So glad I did. Erika is a considerate, thoughtful and accommodating hostess. I let her know that my young grandson was traveling with me and she said she keeps an eye on who comes and goes on the property via her video doorbell and that made me feel much better. Plus, everyone on the street leaves their porchlight on and have video doorbells as well. We felt very secure in the house. The house was very clean and the beds so comfortable. The smart tv was a great addition as was the swing set. It was too windy for my grandson to enjoy it but I know he would have been outside playing if it had been nicer. The yard is fully fenced and very large. The home is easy to locate and is very close to a Kroger and other stores so it's easy to run out and grab something you forgot. I highly recommend this home and have recommended it to my sister for when she comes in to visit. Erika has stocked the kitchen with lots of cooking and baking necessities and leaves you some coffee pods in case you forgot. I also appreciate she has two refillable k-cups for those that hate the plastic waste that Keurigs generate. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again this summer hopefully. Thank you Erika!
