Cozy place with an amazing dog-friendly backyard. My wife and our dog had a great long weekend at this house — the yard, the living room, and the big kitchen were all highlights. Plus there’s a dog park just a block and a half away.
One note for improvement was the TV: the cable box wouldn’t work so we had to unplug it from the back and let it restart. Then after 20+ minutes the TV would begin working. But every time we turned it off, it needed to be unplugged and restarted for it to start working again. I’m sure this can be fixed in the future, so it’s certainly not a big deal, just something we had to figure out during our stay.

Myself, my husband and our 3 under-25 lbs dogs had a delightful stay in this historic West End home. The house is absolutely charming with its whimsical landscape in both the front yard and spacious back deck & garden. The interior of the house offers even more with the mix of modern conveniences and retro style. The claw-foot tub and vintage Westinghouse stove were a favorite. If you are traveling with dogs, this house is perfect. The mud/laundry room off the back is fully stocked with pet blankets, bowls, toys, and even pet stairs. The wine barrel dog bed in the living room was a favorite spot for all 3 dogs.
The neighborhood is fairly quiet & very walkable, plenty of places to dine and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. If you like nature, the historic Luther Burbank house & garden is a short drive away, along with lots of wineries and parks. There’s also lots of grocery stores, drug scores, gas stations, and chain restaurants options within a 5 mile radius.
Our host made check in/check out an absolute breeze, and was quick to reply to all communication. Allen really made our stay relaxing with all the thoughtful touches throughout the property. It really felt like we were visiting a cozy and familiar family member’s home. We will definitely book this house again.

This was a lovely landing place for myself and friend. Very comfortable and very dog friendly. Fully equipped for the 4 night stay. Will stay again if it's not already let out.

Great location with close proximity to downtown and the trail system along Santa Rose Creek. I was in town for the Santa Rose Marathon and could easily walk to and from the start/finish line. House is small, but really cute and well equipped. Owner was very easy to communicate with and we especially appreciated that the property was dog friendly. Our dog Kona loved it too!

Wonderful vintage themed cottage great fenced backyard for if you travel with furry friends Close to downtown and great market. Ting Hau is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Try them when you stay

The house is a nice old gem. Fun vintage decorations. All the good stuff you want: clean usable kitchen, Wi-Fi, nice backyard. Overall rating of 4 is mostly for preferential reasons. It’s in an area that doesn’t really have anything within walking distance without walking through some rough areas. Gotta drive to get to coffee, food, etc. Beds are full size, which is a bit too small. Security seems a bit iffy as old doors have old locks. Front door latch was broken so it wouldn’t latch shut or lock; security door fully latched and locked though. I alerted owner; wasn’t interested in doing anything about it. Would I stay there again? If the front door latch were fixed and the house were in a different area, yes. For location alone, no. If you don’t mind the location, it’s a decent stay.

The entire process from booking to checking out was seamless. The property is truly special with a charming and welcoming vibe, a beautiful front porch and backyard. The location is perfect, incredible bakeries walking distance (minutes) away. A great experience all the way around. We will definitely book again.

I have already tried to make a follow up reservation at this lovely home and it is booked for my dates. Bummer for me, but I am happy for whoever gets the opportunity to stay in this sweet home. It is super clean, secure, and well stocked. Allen is kind and caring and very accommodating. Looking forward to my next stay~
