Place was great just step out the back and into the boat. Loved having the nature preserve out the front door. Tortoises crossing the road and drinking from the puddles on the one rainy evening.

Nice getaway if you seek quiet times with access to great boating and fishing. The area is not a tourist trap and makes you feel like a local. Space is small but just right for a solo traveler like myself or a couple. Few tweaks and this is a 5⭐️ rating.

Had a great stay and the owner was very quick to respond to my questions about having my boat at the dock also let us add a day. We had a great time being able to hop on the water and also drive to local restaurants. Quite area and great ambiance. The outside of the building is a little worse for wear from hurricane Ian, but that was to be expected and you couldn’t tell in the apartment. Was still very clean and everything worked as it should. There is also a Publix nearby so you’re able to get some items if you forgot anything. So very thankful for the opportunity to have a getaway with quick access to Charlotte harbor water and fishing.

We were looking for a carefree place to relax and fish. If you want to experience "old style Floirda" it's the perfect place. The pictures are exactly what you get. Very clean. Jeff responded immediately any time we had a question. The canal fishing is fun for mangrove snapper. If you are looking for exciting beaches you might think again. It's pretty far from night life etc. Though the area was hit hard from the hurricane, they are slowly making a come back. There are a few really good restaraunts within a few minutes drive.

Island Time
This townhouse is exactly has it is described. Very nicely decorated, full bath with washer and dryer. Kitchen essential for meals or cocktails. Less than 20 steps to backyard canal which leads you to the Gulf of Mexico. Sunset on the patio were fantastic. If you are looking for a weekend or week getaway , we highly recommend. Check in process was easy and the host were very easy to communicate with.

SCARY AND LOUD EXPERIENCE!
When I arrived at the property, with two friends at my side, I unlocked the door to find the "maid" lounging on the sofa, watching TV. This startled me, considerably. She told me to give her 4 minutes and she'd be out. She left, but came back to say, "Oh, here's your remote." She had walked off with it in her pocket! My friends and I were slack-jawed! She drove up the street, then turned around and came back. She came to me and said, "They are delivering lawn chairs at 10:30 am, tomorrow morning. Please put two of them in your unit." I looked at her, in bewilderment, and told her I have NO idea where I'll be in the morning, so, no... She said, "Don't worry about it, I'll be here." Then, she left. Again, my friends and I were shocked! I, immediately, felt uncomfortable about the entire situation. The unit was nice, but didn't take the sour taste out of my mouth. There is a small window in the dining room with no covering over it. Anyone walking down the left side of the structure can look right into the house and the sleeping area. I had to finagle a beach towel over it for privacy. When I FINALLY got to sleep, around midnight, the guests upstairs arrived... The stomping and running and what sounded like the moving of furniture across the floor, went on for over an hour! I was tired and miserable. I called Jeff the next morning to complain about the happenings the evening and night before. He didn't seem too concerned about my experiences and, instead, spoke highly of his cleaning lady, as well as how well insulated the floor/ceiling is above the unit I was in, and how quiet it is over head. As I was about to argue this with him and ask him for one night's credit, Jeff cut me off saying he had to go feed his infant daughter. He never called me back, but texted two nights free "on my next stay". There was no way, I'd ever be staying in his unit, ever again! That afternoon, I came back to the unit to find the "maid" sitting in her car in the parking area. She sat there for over an hour! Again, a feeling of discomfort. I texted Jeff and asked him for a full refund. He refused and, basically, called me a freeloader. He kept texting screenshots of 5 star reviews to me. When I told him I was going to go to VRBO for full credit, he said, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, NOW! I told him, when I see a FULL refund credited back to me, I'd be happy to leave. He closed the text with more 5-star screenshots...
Wish I could choose ZERO stars!
