We love the Hendersonville area and our visit was very nice. The cabin was beautifully decorated and peaceful. We enjoyed the goats and the chickens as well! Hope to return again soon.

A charming log cabin with central air, full kitchen, separate bedroom and full bathroom. Very private on 3+ acres. In site goats to visit and a chicken coup with fresh daily eggs the host was gracious enough to allow us to have. The host was friendly and helpful

My husband and I totally lucked upon the Red Cabin. It was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The goats and chickens made it like a real vacation. Meeting with Rudy was delightful and we enjoyed our conversations. We look forward to returning many more times and escaping our Texas home and heat! Thanks again, Rudy!

We regretted we were only there a short visit for a wedding. The cabin is nestled in the woods and is so peaceful. The goats were the icing on top! They are super friendly, and our host left crackers to feed them. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Rudy and Ann, and they gave us fresh eggs from the chicken coop. We want to come back when we can spend more time. Y’all have a special place there!!

We had a great time at this little cabin. We got to feed the goats every morning, and enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here. The owner was very nice and courteous, we were unable to make it to the cabin for the 1st day we had booked and he offered us an extra day at the end of our stay, we werent able to accept due to work, but that was a fantastic gesture I would have never expected. We got a full dozen of eggs our first day, which were hands down the best eggs ive ever had. There were animal crackers supplied to feed the goats which my wife really reqlly enjoyed. Its also in a really great location, close enough to the coty in case you need to go grab some food or anything, but also far enough away to really get the full mountain living experience. Overall if we head back to north Carolina again, I know where im staying.

Beautiful, secluded cabin, yet close to many of the attractions in Asheville, Lake Lure, and DuPont State Forest. The chickens and goats on site were a special treat! Rudy is an excellent host and did everything to ensure a wonderful visit!

Was so perfect it was secluded but close to everything. It was wonderful getting fresh eggs from the beautiful chickens and also getting greeted by the goats every morning. The property host were the kindest people said we could even walk a goat.
The cabin had a warm fuel and just perfect for two people even had bottled water, coffee, plenty of TP, and towels!! Will return in spring!

This lovely private tranquil getaway was just what we needed. An adorably charming little cabin that was clean and fresh, with many accomodations you'd want when staying at a home at from home. Although we dined out, the house was fully stocked with cooking necessities. Isolated by trees and nature it was like being in our own little storybook cabin! The furcritters to pet and feed were an added treat.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay here. It is in a quiet, safe and secluded area that is pretty convenient location to travel to local attractions. To save others time from having to research; it’s about 48 minutes to Black Mountain, 36 minutes away from Lake Lure, 30 minutes to Chimney Rock, 20 minutes to Henderson, 36 minutes to Asheville (depending on where you go).
We loved spending time with the goats in the mornings and evenings by feeding them. They are very friendly and love pats (black one is friendly, just wants the cookies not pats 😆).
The hosts (Rudy) hit the aesthetic spot on with the rustic, cabin feel and did a remarkable job building it. I can’t think of anything that they could change to make it feel more like a home away from home. The only recommendation I could possibly make for any future visitors is a swing or hammock area just to be able to sit out under the sky and listen to the nature surrounding them.

My wife and I spent New Years at the cabin and REALLY enjoyed it. Beautiful, cozy cabin with everything you need to get away for a long or short stay. Convenient to Asheville and Biltmore. But the goats were our favorite part. They are so funny and awesome. Whether you like getting in the pen and playing with them (my wife) or just feeding them animal crackers through the fence (me), you'll love them. So cool. I can't wait to go back.

A quaint cabin that has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin is secluded in that when you step outside, you are surrounded by woods. Inside the cabin is very nice and artfully decorated with Americana. The interior is very modern and comfortable. This is perfect for two people due to the size of the cabin. I would not recommend more than two people as there is not a lot of extra sleeping accommodations. There is space to stretch out on the floor, but you would be laying on the open floor. This fact does not detract from the cabin overall, just want to be clear that more than two people might be a challenge unless you were traveling with a small air mattress and a sleeping bag. We did not have any issues at all with the amenities and we were able to talk to the host prior to our arrival, who kindly left the porch light on for us since we were arriving at night when it is very dark. Drive slow on the approach to the house, there are several speed bumps that sneak up on you during the drive up to the cabin. The cabin was easy to find, you will see a small wooden structure with the address of the cabin fastened to the structure. Turn right immediately after that structure onto a gravel road, passing the goat pen on your left and just continue straight until you get to the cabin. The goats were great. There are animal crackers in the cabin that you can use to feed the goats. You can enter the pen to interact with the goats but realize that they will jump on you for attention so if you are not ok with that, you might want to feed them from outside the pen. Overall we had a great time. No issues to report at all. We plan on staying here again in the future.

Stayed in this adorable cabin in the woods for a few days to enjoy the fall foliage and visit the Biltmore, which was an easy drive from the cabin. Rudy and Ann were amazing hosts and when Rudy found out we had no real plans but to sightsee the first day, he recommended the perfect route for us to see the fall leaves including a nearby apple orchard, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. We especially enjoyed visiting and feeding the goats every morning and evening which were all so cute & friendly. Such a fun time and can’t wait to stay here again!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is spotless. Filled with all the essentials you need plus a lot of extras as well. The owner, Rudy, was welcoming and always available if we needed anything. The goats are beyond precious and added daily smiles during our visits. Location is perfect and serene, yet a short easy drive to any amenities. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning for another stay. Thank you Rudy and Ann for sharing your place with us. Give the goats a cookie for me! -Suzanne

Great Honeymoon Cabin
Loved our time at this cabin. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable. Even though it seems isolated in the woods it is convenient to all sorts of things to do. The hosts, Rudy and Ann, are so warm and friendly. We will definitely consider going back.

Staying at Rudy's cabin
Staying at Rudy's cabin was a very pleasant experience for me and my wife. The cabin was beautiful inside and out. And our hosts Rudy and Ann were the absolute best. They attended to our very needs when needed and invited us to their home as well for an evening of stories, that included hot tea and apple pie, by the outdoor fireplace under their pavilion. We were also offered vegetables from their garden. They are both very nice people. All in all the location was perfect for traveling to our daily chosen events and it was very quiet and peaceful stay. I would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a quiet, as well as fun, getaway. We will definitely visit again soon.
