The view was the best from this room! Watching the pelicans was amazing! Sad the pool wasnt usable due to the hurricane, but the lazy river was working just fine!

This was a great location for a family vacation. The property was amazing with so much to do. We found ourselves wishing we had a couple more days to experience even more of what it had to offer. I would definitely recommend staying at Diamond Beach.

The condo was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We enjoyed the views from the top floor. The kitchen had all that we needed to prepare several meals. We love the extensive pool & the lazy river at Diamond Beach Resort.

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property. It was warm and inviting with enough space for all of us to have our own downtime. The balcony gave us an amazing view of the gulf and we spent a lot of time out there. Would recommend this property to others who want a comfortable, clean space with a great view for vacation!

We booked our visit for a girls trip. The resort is beautiful and secure. We were surprised there were no basic amenities such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee or coffee filters etc. The condo needs a deep cleaning especially the ceiling fans.

If it wasn't for the view and the pool area, this would have been a very disappointing trip. The property owner needs to invest some money into the upkeep of the property and the Ryson group who manages the property needs to learn how to clean/maintain. For the amount of money we paid to stay there, there's absolutely no reason I should have had to be the general contractor to get multiple things fixed/addressed. I made 4-5 calls in the 6 days we were there to fix/address things. Where to start??? When we walked in, we found the patio door handle broken off and sitting on the island.
Shower head in master bath was absolutely filthy/nasty. The sheets on the pull out bed were dirty and not made. Coffee maker had not been cleaned at all including the pot hadn't even been rinsed out. Coffee grounds all over the outside rim around the filter basket. We heard a loud banging from the hallway bathroom sink. Come to find out it was from the AC drip tube that runs into the sink drain. Was able to get the condo maintenance crew to come and they found an absolute filthy HVAC filter that hadn't been changed for months/years. Once they changed that, the loud banging noise in the sink stopped. The windows and glass on the patio railing was absolutely filthy and covered with bird poop (I don't think the cleaning company could get to the balcony to clean due to the broken door handle, why wouldn't they have fixed the door??). Mold on the liner in the hallway shower.

The resort property had many amenities. The condo views were amazing but condo did not match the resort. Dated furniture and uncomfortable beds. Odd coffee set up and no wifi TV only DVDs.

Resort amazing, beach awesome, bed not so much
Grand parents, parents and kiddos all had a great time. Definitely will come back to this resort, but not to this condo. The king bed was comfy but one queen was so worn out and one was too small for two people that most of the family didn’t get good sleep. The pull out couch was uncomfortable as a couch and so yucky my daughter just closed it back up. The view was amazing, but please replace the mattresses.

View was breathtaking (if room were just cleaned better)
The location & views were absolutely breathtaking, I just wish the condo would have been clean. It was close to disgusting in some rooms. If it were clean it would have been 5 stars no question.

Condo spacious. location was wonderful.
We loved this condo. A lot of room for six people. The location was great. Right on the beach. On the last day, as we found a huge stain on the mattress. Not acceptable!! Will contact the property manager.

Great long weekend with family
We had a great stay at this condo. The view is fabulous and condo is spacious enough as we had 8 people. Pool was great with our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. We rented a cabana a couple of times to grill and eat dinner in - this worked very well. We did use one of the free grills on Sunday - it was a little bit of a wait for a turn but not bad at all.
The condo floor was not clean when we arrived - after walkOmg around for an hour unpacking and organizing, our feet were black. There was still food on the bottom shelf of the door of the fridge from whoever stayed there before us.
A couple of suggestions:
1. The condo needs more silverware - there are only 6 forks and it sleeps 8.
2. The condo needs a frying pan - the one that is there the non stick has worn off so everything sticks to it and the frying pan isn’t very big.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back again.

A Beautiful View But Be Prepared
This condo is has a beautiful view and a lovely location, location, location! I was wary of booking through a rental company and not directly with an owner. My wariness was well-founded. Although we enjoyed the beautiful view and the quietness (Christmas is a great time to come to Diamond Resort), there were several small disappointments that will hopefully (that is the reason for my writing this review) be remedied by the time others book. First, and easiest, the VCR (yes)/DVD player did not work at all. Luckily we had brought our own. Second, the toaster lever would not stay down unless you held it down. Third, the coffee maker is a strange brand--not Keurig and not regular (please let people know what kind of pods to bring). Fourth, we could not get the regular shower head in the master shower to work...or we could not figure out how to work it (instructions would be great). We used the rain shower head--not great for washing shampoo out of long hair. Fifth, we had trouble getting the dishwasher to start (again, simple instructions are the answer). And sixth, the WiFi required a second set of authentifications. After entering the WiFi network and password, Comcast essentially required another network name and password. This resulted in several phone calls and one personal visit from the Ryson (rental company) people. They helped us by giving us the WiFi information for the condo next door, whose owner is a relative of the owner. Ryson certainly did their best and fixed the WiFi issue for our stay, albeit not permanently. A last (seventh) comment was that to check-in to Diamond Resort, you need a key fob just to get to the check-in desk on the second floor. After we found a current guest to "fob" us in, there was no one at either front desk on the second floor (we arrived about 4:30 p.m.). I called the Ryson number on our reservation confirmation and the phone directly in front of me rang. A desk staff person came out from behind the wall/office to answer it. Not a great check-in experience. However, the view from the balcony, the security (there is a 24-hour phone number for issues), the facility and the location are all amazing and excellent. We hope to return!

Vacation rental company not so good.
Property was clean. Beautiful location. Awesome amenities. Our WiFi did not work the entire time we were there. I reported it immediately but never got any positive response. Was told all they could do was place a service call. Never received a follow up call or message. Terrible customer service. On our final night at this location the smoke alarm in the master bedroom chirped/beeped all night long. Didn’t even bother calling it in due to the earlier service response. In my opinion the vacation rental service company and condominium need much better communication. I told the people at the front desk at check out and they informed me that it was the the vacation rental service’s problem. Very poor customer service passing the problem on to each other. Communication between both parties needs to be much better. This is a very nice destination and customer service is going to ruin future business. I don’t really expect anyone to reach out to me about our issues while we stayed here.

Promises not kept
If you rent a condo and you are allowed one parking spot in the garage and another vehicle on property they should accommodate. When the outside parking was full we had to park on the sea wall. There was room in the garage but management would not allow it.

Had an adult family of 14, so booked side by side condos, this 3 bedroom that sleeps 8 and a two bedroom that sleeps 6. We were issued two keys (condo) and two fobs (resort/beach access) for each unit. Quickly realized how inadequate this was on afternoon one - Monday. It was super restrictive and we felt like prisoners in the resort until the property mgr and Ryson finally found a solution that was presented to me on Friday evening at 8pm. Checkout was Sunday at 10am, so only 1 full day of no logistical stress. There are poolside cabanas/grills which can be resv/rented. We saw a grill with a flat cooktop that sat atop the grill slats, which was what we wanted. Apparently the flat cooktop was the personal property of an owner and wasn’t available for our use. The property concierge booked it and confirmed the ‘flat cooktop’. I went to Katie’s Seafood Market and bought $150 worth of fresh shrimp and fish. I had the fish filets deskinned, thinking I had the griddle cooktop. When we showed up to start cooking, we only had the standard grill top and the MOD and Maint Mgr informed us that a flat cooktop/griddle is not part of the offering. Had that been clear when I reserved the cabana, I would have left skin on the fish and would have skewered the shrimp. I did’t have foil because I didn’t think I would need it, so it was a struggle to keep the shrimp from falling through the slats and our red snapper quickly flaked apart and fell through the slats. Our beautiful filets looked like fish taco crumbles, which would have been fine if I had been prepared to serve fish tacos. Anyway, we made the best of it for our family and my husband and I were so stressed about it we lost our appetite and didn’t even eat - we had to be off the grill by 8p. The concierge mgr was busy checking ice chests for alcohol not purchased at the property’s swim up bar, she didn’t think to at least offer us a refund of the $40 grill rental, or credit us for a chance at a do-over on another night. The sliding door was terribly hard to open and close, I reported a loose handle to Ryson, which ended up completely breaking off the next day, which disabled the use the balcony completely. They ‘jimmied’ it, the wind caused a horrific whistle. The master bedroom bed frame was broken causing the mattress to sag at the head (so obvious, hskpg should have had that taken care of, but we had to deal with that after a bad first day re: fobs. Pools/grounds are awesome.

Everyone had a great time. The view was excellent and the property had a lot of amenities. The only issue was that the washing machine was not working. This is a lovely property.

The View!
This unit had the most amazing view! We loved the amenities the property had to offer and really enjoyed our time there. Hoping to come back in the summer when the slide is open and the pools are a little warmer.

Beautiful view! Lovely amenities!
The condo was spacious for our family of 4, furnished well, spotlessly clean, and dominated by that gorgeous view. We appreciated the WiFi and generous electronics during the evenings. And the property's amenities -- pools, beach access, game room, covered parking, etc., etc. -- were really nice. The only small drawbacks were a couple of broken window shades (which are needed only for a short time each afternoon) and a lack of good kitchen equipment (cheap cookware and utensils). Other than that, we loved it!

Wonderful Family Beach Vacation
We enjoyed this property and this particular unit the MOST out of all of our visits to Galveston & we've been coming here for decades! First of all, the view is spectacular and can't be beat! The wrap around balcony allows you to look at the waves crashing along the shore, the deep blue ocean water as you look straight out to sea or the beautiful pool!! The floor to ceiling windows truly take your breath away as you walk in & allow you to enjoy this ocean front view from the living room & kitchen. Our group of 6 loved how spacious this condo was. There was plenty of seating with 2 large sofas, 2 large chairs, a dining table for 4 and bar stools! The beds were comfortable & bedrooms were quiet. The cascading, multi-level pool was amazing!! We went to the pool and lazy river every single day of our stay! It was only a short walk to the beach & we enjoyed the access out of the back corner of the grounds down to the sand. The water slide was only open on Saturday of our 5 day stay, but they kids thought this was SUCH a treat & couldn't get enough of it while it was open & tended to by lifeguards- what a COOL touch for privately owned condos!! On top of all the fun in the sun, we LOVED the arcade, where every video game and pinball machine was FREE!! We loved checking out the movie room and wine & dine room and 3rd floor veranda. The entire place is so clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated! We felt safe & like we were living in luxury for 5 days! We will DEFINITELY be back! Kind of Diamonds is truly one of a kind at an amazing Resort!

Beautiful Condo, Great location!
We loved staying here for our weekend family getaway. We took our son on a fishing trip while our nanny stayed with our 2 small girls. It was still a little too cool for our girls at the outdoor pool but we all really enjoyed the indoor heated pool, and they had a ball at the kids play center. The views were incredible (although this room is turned just enough to miss the sunrise), and it was well appointed. The beds were comfortable and having access to luggage carts were nice, especially when loading in groceries, (and this unit is right in front of the elevator!) but it was a pain returning the carts because you have to go all the way to the front, on the opposite end of the property. Overall, a great experience!

Beautiful views with comforts of home.
This condo has so much to offer as does Diamond Beach. The indoor heated pool, outdoor lazy river, beach volleyball, game room, cinema room, kids play room are all top notch.
There is no designated beach area and the beach adjacent to the property is not very clean and a bit tricky to get there with little kids.
The condo needs a bit of TLC which can easily be done by the owner to make cooking and cleaning up a bit easier.
We had beautiful weather and were comfortable.
