My sister and I stayed here one night while we were visiting family.
It was both beautiful and comfortable and the owners thought of everything! They even had earplugs in the bathroom!!
They provided coffee, a coffee pot, and a French press. We also walked to the coffee shop around the corner in the morning.
It was a wonderful stay in the communication was top notch!!

The Winona House was the perfect place for our weekend trip to Roanoke! The house was beautiful and in a great location, and also top notch in terms of cleanliness. The attention to detail was evident from the supplied toiletry items, local coffee, and convenient check-in. Highly recommend for any stay in the Roanoke area!

Our family stayed here as a quick stop on the way home from FL. We arrived very late and planned on leaving early the next day but we fell in love with the house. Enjoyed the coffee and comfort of the house, took showers in the cutest, fully stocked bathroom. Stayed until checkout and couldn’t give this house a better rating! No complaints whatsoever!!

We loved our stay here. We were in roanoke under very stressful circumstances. My husband’s mother is in hospice care and near death. Coming back to this residence every day was extremely beneficial and allowed us to rest our minds and to sleep well.
Thank you.

Great location, close to restaurants. House was perfect for 4 adults. Bedrooms were large. More shelving or dressers in bedrooms would have been helpful for unpacking. Host was great, answered questions quickly. Would consider renting again when visiting our family in Roanoke.

The rental exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. We were very impressed with the property. Very clean and well renovated. Our only note was that the walls are very thin between the 4 units, and you can hear pretty much everything. It didn't bother us much, but something to keep in mind.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely historical home. There were many nice touches left by the owners such as snacks and condiments plus Q-tips and other items in the bathroom. The beds were VERY comfortable. It was a nice location walking distance to some restaurants but for us it was a touch loud on Friday night for restful sleep. That said, it was remarkably quiet for a multi-unit home; the other tenants were very considerate. The noise came from the nearby restaurant and motorcycles up and down Main Street and given the wood floors throughout the home, the noise really carried until things quieted down around 10:30 p.m.
Overall the property was clean and well maintained - a nice stay away from home!

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and had all the things we needed for a good stay. The thermostat was confusing and hard to use. Would stay again when in Roanoke.

The property location and beautiful accommodations was perfection for our girls trip and walk down memory lane weekend in Roanoke. We have been friends since the first grade and had a lovely visit to the “Star City “ of the South and our “hearts “! We enjoyed the dining options in the area, too! We loved our lunch at Evie’s Bistro/ Bakery and breakfast at Scratch! Thanks for hosting our special visit 💕JB

The photos don't do this property justice. It's a beautiful old home with lots of charm that has been redone in mid century modern design. So spacious and well appointed. From toiletries to paper towels and coffee/sparkling water to snacks, the management thought of everything! The kitchen even has basics like olive oil / salt and pepper. It's a little bit VRBO and a little bit boutique hotel. Yes, you can hear a bit of noise from the neighbors but they provide ear plugs (right next to the floss, cotton swabs, and q tips in the bathroom).
The location is great -- a 5 minute drive to downtown. And 10/10 recommend Bloom, the wine bar out back. (It is fantastic and only a 90 sec walk door to door.)
Can't recommend this rental enough! It was perfect for our three person, mother-daughter getaway!
Note -- it's a bit hard to tell from the listing but all spaces are completely private. You have your own entrance to the three-story duplex!
