About this apartment rental

If you're keen to explore this stunning island but you're more interested in nature trails than tourist resorts, this magical home is aimed squarely at lovers of the great outdoors. Whether you're here to hike, explore the island by bike or just take it easy by the private pool, you'll find this place the perfect base. Set just metres away from the famous cypress forest trail, unspoilt beauty surrounds you. Here you'll be tucked away in the village of Tselendata – a traditional, quiet spot that's a real slice of authentic Kefalonia – and just a five-minute drive away is the pretty harbour of Fiscardo, where you can watch the coming and goings of the private yachts and fishing boats. Freshly renovated, this stone villa mixes old and new, with typical village architecture, blue shutters and two terraces looking out over the trees. Inside, it's spacious and cool, with a modern, minimal feel despite its character features. There's a fireplace for winter stays and a small but perfectly practical kitchen to whip up your Mediterranean meals. And we particularly love the little pool – a real treat after a hike in the forest. Home truths: *A fifth guest would be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room – it's not the most private spot *You'll need a car to get around and here you'll have private parking space *The twin bedroom is on the ground floor, with the ensuite master upstairs *Pool maintenance and concierge service are included *A cleaning service every two days is also included
