Property is probably an illegal STR. It is not a privately owned condo, it is located in a rental apartment complex.
VRBO should take this listing down since it is not actually owned by the LLC named GrandLuxe Executive Suites. It may be some funny business by the management office of the apts. I was fine ignoring what seemed to be an illegal rental, until I received my $54 parking ticket.
I was legally parked in a public universal blue signed handicap spot. I have a placard myself.
Apparently, the management has illegally reserved this public handicap spot to accommodate a tenant that needs a handicap space. No where was the spot marked "private" or "reserved". So I received a ticket for parking in a "private" parking lot, instead of parking in a "handicap" parking space because I showed my placard on my dashboard. We left a day early since we were getting harrassed by the management that called police, and the tenant that complained instead of explaining their situation. Now I have a ticket to dispute from my weekend getaway because management of the complex does NOT want to follow ADA and HUD laws by giving their tenants marked reserved parking to accommodate their handicap needs
The LLC I was messaging did not try to make right my $54 ticket. Excuses were made of how they can't control what management does with the parking lot. Blamed me for not requesting a spot. So we left. Not worth it, or the hassle. Stay away.Building has maintenance issues/smokey halls/hard pillows

To start with, the location is a little weird in that it feels like this building is out of place compared to the surrounding buildings. I didn't feel unsafe, just a little quirk. Relatively easy access to NYC, at the mercy of tunnels -- took anywhere from 35-90 minutes to commute into Manhattan.
From the photos I thought the second bedroom was going to be tiny, but it's also got a dresser and wall mounted TV. Everything was in good shape and there were a surprising amount of complementary amenities. Host was quick to respond to any messages I sent.
As other reviews have mentioned, finding the parking is a bit tricky. This is just because the entrance is actually on the cross-street (which is the more major street anyway). It was easy enough to figure out, which is good -- most delivery drivers will need a bit of help finding the entrance as well.
Furniture is functional and aesthetically pleasing, though the actual construction is sometimes a little on the economic side. The beds are thin frames consisting of two rectangles joined together, but you can't tell when you lie on the beds -- they support you just fine. Mattress and pillows (so many pillows) were comfortable. Sound insulation was also really good, I only heard neighbors if they were passing by our front door.
The outside balcony area is large and there's a good bit of outdoor furniture. From the photos I thought it was going to be about 1/3 the size it actually is.
Kitchen cookware is on the inexpensive side (like, almost camping set sometimes), but the cookware is nice and there's a ton of glassware. Different tumblers, mugs, and glasses for alcohol, I was really impressed with the selection!
If I'm in the Newark area I'll definitely try and rent this unit again in the future!

Comfortable
Nice place. Parking provided. Very comfortable beds and couch. Very nice patio with furniture off the living area. This particular appartment is on the main level, and outside the patio is a walking area for any of the residents of the building. The only issue is that the blinds in the bedroom with the king bed are very translucent. Depending on the time of year, it is bright at 6am in the room. The couch has a pull out bed Again, in this room, the blinds are the same. There was a minor issue when we arrived and the management team was on top of it quickly and efficiently.

nice place
The place is well-appointed with amenities. The blinds in the master bedroom are not thick enough to keep the mercury vapor lights in the common garden out - a sleep mask could fix that if one is a light sleeper. Google Maps gives bad directions for the parking...that can't be helped. Do not forget to put out your parking pass in the lot: the city will ticket your car if you don't have it displayed.
