For a one week stay at a very high rate, you would expect pretty nice accommodations. Upon arrival, there was a terrible smell coming from the stove vent and in the powder room. None of the gas fireplaces worked until I called the manager and he came over to turn them on. He also turned the sauna on, but it never got hot enough. We also had to ask him to get the home theater on. There are absolutely no directions on anything in the “house manual” which was useless. Two of the “7” bedrooms were not actually meant to be bedrooms. One was a sunroom right next to the kitchen with no closet or bathroom. The other may have been a music room, no bathroom or closet or DOOR on it. Open to the public!!!!
The house is furnished as minimally as possible and as cheaply as possible. We were moving chairs from room to room to have enough for everybody to sit. Not a bath mat in the entire house. Kitchen poorly stocked with common items missing, like a vegetable peeler.
All in all, the house is big but feels empty. Not a picture on the walls anywhere. It looks like no one has lived there in twenty years and it hasn’t been updated in 20 years. The carpets are awful.
I will say the manager, Melvin, was very responsive and as helpful as he could be . I give him 5 stars.
Don’t support this kind of rental that is just out for every cent and doesn’t provide a comfortable space. The cleaning fee is an insult.
I will never use VRBO again😤

1. Upon arrival all exterior doors where unlocked including front door (stationary door wasn’t even dead bolted into the floor or ceiling)
2. Only 3 extra rolls of toilet paper and 3 rolls of paper towels for 16 people for 5 days.
3. Old rusty frying pan and pots.
4. Freezer upstairs no shelves in it, unusable.
5. Ice maker didn’t work.
6. Had to refill a portable ice maker on counter.
7. Freezer downstairs not working.. Food and ice cream melted!!
8. Backyard outside steps and walkway green with mold and wet leaves.. Some steps not secure. We had to sign a liability waiver for the outside steps when they weren’t even proper maintained. I even reached out to the Owner on VRBO a few weeks beforehand specifically mentioning the outside be cleaned for wedding pictures for my son.
9. The house ran out of hot water twice during the 5 days resulting in cold showers for most of our guests.
10. 8 coffee mugs for 13 adults .
11. Overall the house wasn’t outfitted as a luxury rental, while extremely large the furnishings were of low quality. For example paper shades on all the bedrooms windows. Rooms with no furniture in it. In addition the general attention to detail was missing.; not enough mugs, plates, serving dishes or platters to serve our guests. Overall the experience was terrible. It took away from my sons wedding and events planned. It added unnecessary stress. When I spoke with the gentleman who met us upon arrival, he just laugh at my concerns and informed me to write it all in my comment section with my reviews!! Really!!

Long story story short, we originally booked a different property and the canceled the day before we our trip…. So we had to find a replacement home to accommodate 14 guess at the last minute. This property manager was quick and very polite.
