About this resort
Ideal for independent travelers who want to get away from the crowds yet be right at the water's edge, our 2-story oceanfront townhome is nestled among lush tropical plants and swaying palm trees, cooled by steady breezes -- minutes from Curacao's five most beautiful beaches. Swim, snorkel and dive some of the world's most vibrant sites, including our famed local 'Alice in Wonderland' reef. Mountain bike, hike Mt. Christoffel, or relax by the pool in sunny 88° temps. Everything inside is designed for your comfort, from the fully equipped kitchen and open-plan living space with queen-size couch that pulls out to a bed for extra guests, to the second story king-size bed and spacious balcony with glorious views from sunrise to sunset. Pluses include flat-screen cable TV, & wireless internet, linens & towels, screened windows & doors, hot-water showers in both baths, air conditioners & ceiling fans up and down, computer table, wood balcony dining table, tiled serving cart, etc. Two dive shops & 5 restaurants nearby.
Things to Do in Wespunt and Nearby: There's lots to enjoy at our rural west end of the island -- diving, snorkeling, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Westpunt alone features six great eateries, from the famous Lodge Kura Hulanda and Sunshine's Sol Food where you'll find the island's best pizza, to the newest restaurant in town, Landhuis Misje. Just down the road, nature lovers will thrill to the 'roller-coaster' drive through Mt. Christoffel Park, home of Curacao's highest peak. There you'll enjoy sweeping panoramic views, prehistoric cave paintings, the ruins of an old colonial plantation houses, and lush bromeliads and rarely seen orchids -- if you time your visit right! Keep your eyes out for the island's fascinating wildlife, whether it be iguanas lounging in the sun, warawara falcons soaring overhead, or chattering green and yellow parakeets darting playfully through the trees. It's not uncommon to see a goat comically standing on its hind legs in quest of a tempting morsel high overhead.
Further Afield on the Island: Beyond Westpunt, the hilly landscape reminds one of the American West with its towering cacti, iguanas and arid climate. When not beach-hopping among 38 different beaches, playing golf, windsurfing or sailing, you can explore 18th century plantation Landhuises featuring historic museums, fine restaurants, even the internationally renowned Chobo Lobo distillery, producer of the only authentic Blue Curacao Liqueur. Other attractions include the oldest Synagogue in the New World, ostrich and aloe farms, a flamingo park, a stamp museum and an aquarium. And you won't want to miss the colorful Dutch Colonial capital Willemstad -- a UNESCO historic site -- for world class shopping and island crafts, dining at an international array of restaurants and bars, or tempting Lady Luck at a number of different casinos. Curacao has something for everyone!
Interesting Facts about Curacao: Curacao is simply fantastic! It's new to the tourist business and everyone goes out of the way to make you happy and in love with their home island they're so proud of. Very clean and safe, the capital city of Willemstad has undergone a renaissance, with new paving, shopping, more restaurants. A single walk over the Queen Emma pontoon bridge will amaze you. US and Canadian vacationers are just discovering an island that's been a Dutch favorite for eons. Though everyone speaks English and the dollar is accepted everywhere, there's a wonderful Continental vibe to the island that's intoxicating. Plus, Curacao is the most racially and culturally diverse nation in the world -- 56 nationalities among 160,000 residents! Discover all Curacao has to offer -- and we guarantee you, you'll return, again and again.

A very nice location. Can’t beat those sunset views and we loved the ocean dips and snorkeling from the entry ladder. Mark and Susan were very informative about arrival, food options and activities. Many thanks!

Everything about this stay was amazing. The view of the ocean, vicinity to beaches, the west punt area itself. The unit was clean, stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes, comfortable and communication with the hosts was amazing. Be sure to print out the email they send you, it’s spot on. Thank you for an amazing vacation.

We loved the place. Perfect to walk out to the coral wall and look down at the fish, watch the birds, and hang with the iguanas. We made dinner there every night and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. For us, this is the point on the island to stay. There are plenty of little restaurants and things to explore and it is much quieter than Willemstad. It was great to enjoy a drink at cocktail hour under the gazebo or in the shade of the pool area. Exactly what we want in a vacation. We would happily return.

Great location, incredible view, nice spacing between units…a really nice place to stay…

Unit was exactly as described. Bedroom was quiet and bed comfortable. Awesome community and neighbors.

Arriving in a tropical storm in darkness we had to wait to see the location till the following morning. It is post card beautiful. Loved the direct access to the sea, BBQ, security, pool, proximity to 3 restaurants and the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Some have mentioned that the decor and some furniture is a bit dated. But all appliances and showers worked well. Greg is a an attentive and unobtrusive host.
We thought it reasonable value and would recommend.

Amazing views and spectacular access to snorkel and beaches. The property owner was extremely informative and responsive. Definitely recommend staying at this resort when visiting Westpunt area of Curacao!

The view is absolutely amazing. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was perfect for our needs. We were only steps away from snorkeling, which was great. The pool was refreshing with beautiful landscaping. The community was welcoming with neighbors interacting frequently, and the iguanas were fun to watch. We had a wonderful stay.

First off we’d like to thank Greg and Susan for allowing us to stay in their piece of paradise. Fabulous hosts with great recommendations, prompt and open communication throughout pre booking, booking and our trip.
If you’re looking to get away from it all, snorkel in crystal clear blue waters with the best sunsets from your own ocean front balcony each and every single night, this is the place. As well as the snorkeling we also hiked nearby Mt Christoffel, which is a challenge in parts but sooo worth it. If you go, take lots of water.
We didn’t eat out at all on this stay, but there are plenty of options. We had everything we needed in the fabulously equipped kitchen in the apartment to self cater. Open up the windows and doors while you’re downstairs and enjoy the cool natural breeze.
We will return to Curaçao and when we do, we’re looking up Greg and Susan’s place straight away, highly recommend. Thanks loads folks.

Fabulous view and amazing access to the water. Easy drive to many possibilities for shore dives or right in front of the property.
Very clean, great Wi-Fi, comfortable bed. Nice pool area.
We are already planning a return trip.

Well-equipped, well-located. Westpunt is a delight and this is an ideal base for exploring it.

Many thanks to Greg and Susan for sharing their lovely and very well equipped condo with us. We traveled with friends who stayed in the next unit, and had a wonderful vacation. 7B was perfect. We appreciated that the deck furnishings were actual furniture and not patio-plastic. We cooked in most nights, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The lockbox needed a squirt of WD40 when we arrived, but Greg responded right away, and it was fixed in no time. Great to have such a responsive owner.
Go West diving is a five minute drive (Playa Kalki), and with a shore diving package you're able to rinse and hang all gear there, then pick it up with tanks in the morning.
Kortape, the house reef at Marazul, was excellent, like all the shore dive sites in Westpunt. It's a short walk from the unit to the south stairs leading to the water, with no beach entry to mess with. There's an area half way down the stairs with a bench if you'd prefer to kit up there. Lots of sea life along the wall for snorkelers. The pool area was quiet and looked inviting. Amazing sunsets from either the porch or deck. What a great place to stay! We hope to be back!

We really loved the quietness of this place! We had everything we could have needed. Wonderful snorkling right off the sides! We saw squids and turtles! Convenient to lots of beaches and the Cactus Cafe, yet far enough to leave the traffic congestion in the city!

We had s fantastic view of the ocean and sunsets from our patio or balcony. The property is well equipped but the it would be nice if the TV was connected to some basic cable service. The wifi connection was very strong.

Had another great stay at the Marazul Dive Resort… would highly recommend Westpunt as a quiet vacation get away… Greg, the owner, was very responsive to all of our needs. Can’t wait to go back.

Great Location and amazing snorkeling
We had a great stay. Everything went perfect. The snorkeling right outside is enough to bring us back. Then there is the other beaches close by as well. Felt far away from city and couple restaurants close by.

Just what we were looking for!
When looking for a trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary, my #1 qualification was to be at a place where we could snorkel right on the property. Marazul offered that and so much more! As the listing says, this location is for the independent traveler. A rental car is required and you have to be willing to create your own adventures. It's not a posh place where there are loads of restaurants and shops at your fingertips, but it was EXACTLY what we wanted!
Each day we would get up early and go explore another beach. We were snorkeling (often by ourselves) before the sun got too hot. We snorkeled in 7 different locations and saw sea turtles at 5 of the 7 spots! We'd head home for a break midday and then would venture out to a different beach in the afternoon. In the evenings we would walk to the restaurant next door and get a drink overlooking Playa Forti. We ate at three local restaurants and cooked at home 3 nights. Reservations are required at Sol Food and I would recommend booking before you even get there because it fills up quickly and is only open on weekends.
We did venture into Willemstad one day, but realized quickly that we were much happier in the remote, beautiful Westpunt Village instead. The accommodations at the townhouse were perfectly sufficient for our needs. We used the coffee maker and the storage containers for leftovers were a plus. We watched TV in the evenings and spent a lot of time on the upstairs terrace in the morning and in the evenings, watching the sunset. We brought our own snorkel gear (a must) and used the beach chairs and towels provided in the unit. Cindy and her sister and brother-in-law were helpful answering any questions. All in all, it was a perfect week!

My husband and I enormously enjoyed our stay at Cindy´s in Marazul. The property is generally well kept and any need we had was efficiently solved. Although a few details could be improved, we loved our stay and would definitely go back.

Wonderful Westpunt
If you are looking for a great place to relax and get away from it all, this is it! We had a wonderful stay at Marazul Dive Resort. The unit was clean and very comfortable for our 7 night stay. It was perfect for two people, or maybe three; I think it would be a little too cozy for four adults. We cooked several of our meals there and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed. There was not a lot of breeze blowing during our time so we ended up having to use the A/C more than we would have liked. However the unit does cool down very nicely, and when the breeze does blow it's perfect with the windows open. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the unit is amazing and you will want to catch the sunset every night from the balcony or other vantage point around the property. The resort is laid out nicely with a lovely pool and two water accesses for snorkeling and diving. We met several people around the property who have been coming back to Marazul year after year; that says a lot for the experience.
It is an easy walk to Playa Forti and Playa Grandi, as well as a couple of restaurants (Blue View, Playa Forti Restaurant) and a short drive to a few others. Traffic around Willemstad can be quite challenging so it was nice being up in Westpunt - no traffic there! We hiked from the unit to Watamula (fantastic coastal hike) and also drove to and hiked Shete Boka and Christoffel Mountain; highly recommend all three! Don't miss dinner at Sol Food and Landhuis Misje also, they were both great. We also took a snorkel trip to Klien Curacao (Breeze Boat Trips) and highly recommend that as well.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! I don't know if we will return to your beautiful island but if we do I would stay here again without hestitation.

Ideal vacation spot!
This is an ideal primely located gated resort, with multiple duplexes and direct view and access to the water through a cliff reef. It is within 5 minute driving distance from many if not all of the most beautiful beaches. Cindy is extremely responsive and takes great care to ensure her customers enjoy their stay. Ideal if you’re looking to snorkel and dive.
There was a few ants crawling on the kitchen counters, but our understanding is that is all over the island - and as soon as we told Cindy, she had the property manager spray the next day.
This location can not be beat, it was everything we were looking for - highly recommend. Thanks Cindy!

Nice property. Quiet. Secure. Villa perfectly located for sunsets, close to pool, quick parking, and access to water. Kitchen has everything you need. Be sure to shop for majority of things before heading west. There is a small market across and down from Jaanchies to get a few things, paper products, etc. Cindy has great info about the island she provides to guests.

Peaceful paradise
My husband and I spent 1 week here and left feeling fully recharged and relaxed. The property is very quiet and clean. We would enjoy a snorkel at the property each morning and afternoon (amazing fish, sea turtle, eel and octopus spotted!), head to a nearby beach for part of the day, and then walk to dinner or cook at the town home.

Had a great time. The ocean view, with sunsets was awesome. Everything you would need was in the apartment .... even snorkel and masks.

Practically paradise
We were so happy with our stay! The condo was cute, clean and cooled off nicely with the air conditioner. It was an amazing setting. We enjoyed watching the sun set each night on the ocean. It was so quiet and peaceful. We really felt like we had the island to ourselves at times. We could walk down to the ocean in just a minute. Location was so nice. Close to great diving, swimming with the sea turtles, and delicious restaurants. We loved it!!!!

Great location in Westpunt!!
The location to all the beaches was great! Loved Sol food good fish and pizza.
Unit was nice enough space for 2. Nice to have chairs to take to the beaches. Had everything we needed. D&D Car Rental worked out good too. All the tips we were given was great advice. Thanks for the great time!!!!!

What a gem!
We stayed here 5 nights and it was the perfect place for us! The location is close to all of the beaches in the area and there are several restaurants right around the corner, our favorite was Playa Forti. The condo is well equipped and stocked with all of the essentials you'll need while here. Like Cindy recommends, stop at a grocery store on your way in from Willemstad, there are none here. Centrum was a very large nice store that had everything you would need. We made a big breakfast every morning and ate out every night. Cindy, the owner, was very responsive and timely, very easy to work with. The condo is perfectly decorated for an island retreat and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We hope to be back next year!

Wanna give 6 out of 5 Stars. Fab place in the best location for adventure & Cindy is wonderful.
We stayed in Cindy's fabulous home from home for 2 weeks & had a fantastic vacation. It's a great, well equipped Town Home within a small, peaceful gated community. The kitchen had everything we needed & more including a couple of good, sharp knives. An item which is often overlooked but not by Cindy. Both bathrooms were great with fab water pressure in the showers. A very comfortable bedroom with plenty of draw & wardrobe space. The sitting area is again very comfortable & we never needed the A/C on downstairs due to plenty of fresh air circulating. In fact the only time we used A/C at all was in the bedroom when sleeping. The small porch downstairs is a perfect spot for brekkie. The upstairs balcony is where we spent most of our time. A really relaxing, place so sit, chat, read, listen to music, eat & drink. Oh.......& the Sunsets. Wow! All in all I can't honestly think of anything negative. The snorkelling right from the water in front of the Town Home is breathtaking. Clear blue waters & we even saw a couple of Turtles. Thanks loads Cindy.
Now a little about our overall experience. We loved Curacao, the snorkelling was some of the best we've ever had. We climbed Mt Christoffel which was a little challenging but well worth it. All is within a short drive of the resort. A car is pretty essential, definitely for a longer stay but the driving is easy & people are courteous. We had a small, manual Kia Picante which worked perfectly for us. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance of the resort but we self catered the whole time. Biggest reasons for that is not much choice for Vegetarians & we eat late. Everywhere closes around 9pm. Again a car is essential to self cater as the supermarkets are all a drive away. The Supermarkets are great, well stocked & well priced. We walked round to Playa Forti Bar Restaurant pretty regularly for THE coldest Beer, great service & fabulous views. If you're braver than us you can take a leap into the water here from a small platform. It's about 15 metre drop. Gulp!
Go stay at Cindy's place & have fun.

We felt spoiled staying at this beautiful resort.
Marazul is one of the nicest places we have stayed on a vacation. The kitchen was very well equipped, the apartment was clean and the view of the sea was spectacular. We used the beach chairs and coolers every day on our visits to the beach, and sat on the back porch for many hours. We sat by the pool in the shade and got a kick out of the iguanas sunning on the rocks. Flowers & vegetation were amazing, and we enjoyed watching and listening to all the colorful birds. We went diving with Go West Diving and spent most of our time under the water at Alice in Wonderland which is a beautiful, living reef with huge numbers of fish. We were also very happy with D&D Car Rental. This is definitely on our list of places to return to.

Perfect location, beautiful property, responsive hosts
Wholeheartedly recommend this property! So close to all the beautiful beaches with immediate access to snorkeling and diving out the front door. Close enough to Willemstad that we drove in for shopping, nightlife, restaurants frequently. Very easy to travel around the island via rental car, but so much to keep us occupied within a short walk. The home is well-equipped with everything we needed and the management (Rene) on-site was readily available and offered so many good suggestions on fun things to do nearby. Our favorite part about the amenities was the bed!! What a difference a super comfortable bed makes to enhance a perfect vacation! Last, but not least, the responsiveness of the owner to our questions and requests was truly amazing....my emails were typically answered within minutes! My 16 year old daughter and I had a fabulous time! Thanks so much!

Paradise Found
We had a phenomenal time in Curacao. What an amazing place. Truly a diver's paradise. There are so many great places to dive on the island, but the diving right off the property was awesome too. The vacation home itself was just as advertised, and worked out perfectly for the 3 of us. Incredible location and all the amenities one could ask for. Plenty of local restaurants and shops within reasonable driving distance to obtain the necessities one needs when looking to be separated from the tourist areas and resorts. The entire property was very well-maintained, and the manager was friendly and accessible. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions prior to our vacation, and was even quick to respond on Christmas Eve from the US while with her family for the holidays. I would recommend this place it to anyone. Two-thumbs up!!

Comfortable townhome in Westpunt
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here on a dive vacation, and had a lovely time. This townhome is well-appointed with a very functional kitchen and a surprisingly comfortable mattress - a key but often overlooked detail. Curacao itself is a bit more rustic than some other Caribbean destinations that we have visited, but we really enjoyed the laid-back vibe and excellent diving. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Marazul Dive Resort on a return visit, and give it our enthusiastic endorsement.

Wonderful Choice
I can't think of anything negative to say so will just deal with the many positives.
- Cindy, the owner, was very responsive and provided a wealth of information prior to our arrival
- The property manager, Rene, was very friendly, helpful and available.
- The unit provided all the tools needed to prepare meals including some unexpected higher end items like a good cork screw, cheese graters and decent knives
- The location was great. Both of the best snorkelling beaches were within a 5 minute drive - Lagun and Grande (for turtles).
- Very safe and peaceful location. Westpunt is very laid back and quiet and Marazul was extremely relaxing with good security
- The view over the water was wonderful.
- Wifi worked very well
I would recommend this rental to everyone

Beautiful spot
We enjoyed this condo very much. We spent the first half of our vacation in Westpunt before heading to Willemstad - it was a great idea. This complex is quiet, safe and the people are friendly. The manager was there to help us with anything we needed. The unit was great for a couple - lots of space to relax. It is stocked with everything you need. The bed was very comfy too! The location is close to some of the best beaches we visited. The pool was also very nice. We would definitely recommend this unit for anyone looking to spend some quiet time away from the busy city - it was perfect.

Very lovely little townhouse in Westpunt!
We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Marazul! The views and star-gazing were amazing! The house was very nice and had some very cool little amenities that you don't get with a standard hotel. Great spot for divers and snorkelers.
