Close your eyes and picture the quintessential woodsy Vermont cabin – now open them, because you’ve found it with the four-bedroom, cherry-red Vision. Surrounded by trees, this pretty as a postcard hideaway offers a broad back deck, complete with a tree-lined view and private hot tub. This memorable gem is perfect for families with children - you will find plenty of children's toys, baby gates, and a Pack N' Play available.
Inside, the high, knotty-pine covered ceilings and exposed beams create the cabin feeling you crave. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in the light, and antique furnishings plus lots of cozy nooks to gather will make you feel at home in no time. The open kitchen features all the appliances and counter space the chef needs to whip up favorite recipes, and the whole group can dine together at the large window-front table. When it’s time to head out, grab one of the two adult bikes to explore on two wheels, or hop in one of the two kayaks to explore by water. The charming town of Manchester is only sixteen miles away as well.
Fire up the gas grill for dinner and spend the evening snuggled up on the overstuffed sectional, wood-burning fireplace crackling. Stream your favorite shows before bed or – even better – gather at the fire pit or spend the evening soaking in the hot tub, under the stars. Three bedrooms on the main floor and a private main suite await upstairs when you get sleepy.

We only had one issue which was the wash machine . Didn’t spin and we had to hand squeeze the water out. Very minimally stocked kitchen!

The management of this property is horrendous. It could not be less helpful. We rented the property for our family to be near extended family in nearby Londonderry for the Thanksgiving holiday. I requested an early check in a week prior to our stay as check in is 4PM. I got a robotic like response to my request that early check is not available but they will let us know the morning of our stay if that could change. We arrived in Vermont at 2 and I called the contact number to request a slightly earlier check in. I was put on hold for several minutes and was told NO check in at this property is not until 4. We went over to the property at 4 and while the driveway was plowed the 6" of snow from the day before were not shoveled off the 8 narrow steps that lead up to the front door. It was not getting dark, the steps are a safety hazard and the door code that was sent to us would NOT open. We tried multiple times to use the code but it would not budge. I called VACASA to report that we were unable to get in to the house and reached someone that was not local and completely unable to help. She put me on hold for 15 minutes (not exaggerating) . Finally after many attempts to get in the code worked and we got in. By this time it was completely dark and the house was freezing, all thermostats were set to 55 and dark, not one light was left on. The house has no instructions on how to operate anything. The management could not be less helpful.

Well used (lived-in) house. Nice setting. Kitchen is unorganized, but useable. Couldn't find plates or cups. No salt, pepper, spices, nor foil or parchment paper in case you want to cook. No rhyme or reason to light switches. The hot tub is relatively new, and seems to work well, however it smelled a bit like frogs, so probably needed some maintenance. There is a lot of dust and cobwebs in this house - do not turn on the ceiling fans. We stepped on a bunch of toy dinosaurs and barbie bits. Area carpets are all curled up on the corners and presented a tripping hazard. Beds were comfortable, but the listing is wrong: 1-king, 1-queen, 1-double and 4-singles. There is little to no cell reception here. There are no phones. The internet (supplied by Comcast/Xfinity) - WiFi is controlled through a secondary wireless router provided by Vacasa - which does not work. If you have any medical issues - be warned you may need to drive to the top of the road to call for help. The door access codes provided by Vacasa were wrong. We couldn't get into the property. The WiFi access information provided by Vacasa was wrong. There were no instructions, contact information etcetera in the house. The house is worth renting, but it isn't well prepared for renting, and you better plan on bringing everything - including some additional body/bathing towels in case you plan to go in the jacuzzi.

...lacking in execution. This place needs a good clean and some TLC - the master bedroom door doesn't stay closed, and a few of the windows don't open, rendering one of the bedrooms uninhabitable in July. The baby gates provided can't fasten securely to anything, so the stairs are still a hazard. The "firepit" is a dented metal ring adjacent to the gravel driveway, not an inviting place to pull up a chair (and you would literally have to pull a chair down from the deck, there are none actually by the fire). The grounds feel generally run-down, with an old barbecue rusting near the driveway and random toys and things scattered outside. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen but no basics like cooking oils. It felt weirdly like staying in someone's house who wasn't expecting us - there were no instructions provided on, say, how to make the AC or wifi work, and there was clothing in dressers.

We loved our stay here - the home is cozy yet spacious. The decor isn't fancy but that doesn't matter in the least - it adds to the appeal in our opinion. the living room has wonderful exposed beams - the big sectional couch is comfy and can accommodate a lot of people at once. Fireplace was awesome - owners had wood delivered while were there. Do bring your own spices and extras for kitchen (blender etc if you want that) Back deck with hot tub was enjoyed by the kids. the layout is great - three bedrooms two baths downstairs - master upstairs from the living room. It was just a really comforting place to come home to at the end of a day of skiing- oh and beds were all comfy! Highly recommend this rental and we will be back! Not far from area skiing at all - we skiied stratton.

Quiet without being too remote, super-comfortable charming mountain retreat. Perhaps the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on. We loved taking day trips to hikes and swimming holes. A great home base for all the things we wanted to do. Our favorite thing was a 40-minute drive up to Buttermilk Falls near Ludlow. Lots of good dining options within 15 minutes. The hot tub was a great way to finish our long days. House was super cozy, there were lots of games for the kids. We loved going outside at night to look at the stars and listen to the sounds of the woods. Highly recommended!

Overall a very enjoyable stay at this house. I'd give house =4 (1 point off for multiple cleaner "misses") and process = 0. Beds & all linens were comfortable/nice, the bedroom/bed configuration was great for 2 couples and 4 teens. Property is in a wooded very quiet neighborhood- lots of roads to safely take enjoyable runs or dog walks from the house … yet super convenient to Bromley, Stratton, Jamaica, Manchester etc
The home seems to be a newer entry to vacation-renting There were no instructions as to how to start the air conditioner or hot tub … or what to do with trash during the stay, and linens/trash at checkout. There were storage areas (incl laundry room) that contained what appeared to be the owners'. stuff We had plenty of space for our things so this was not a negative, just atypical .
The only real frustration was dealing with a third party rental agency instead of an actual home owner. The communication was unclear and frustrating, and their customer service was overall poor from beginning (prior to check-in and just after check-in)... to end (during checkout). Most of their responses literally read like a automated chat bot, in that they didn’t 100% understand or answer my actual questions . Or as if there were maybe a person cutting and pasting from some customer service "FAQ" database? (example: i asked a specific question about the wall A/C unit in the house not working at check-in and got a response I could have googled for that A/C model... the instructions included "locate the breaker panel in the unit (look behind doors and pictures)" which turned out to be not only inaccurate, but also obviously not written specifically for the home we were standing in. Other times the agency wording simply made no sense (example: when i was asking where to leave the trash bags the response advised me to "please communicate with the front desk" - we were renting a single family house - no front desk). :) More than once it took me multiple exchanges to get simple answers to straightforward questions - eg where to leave the trash and the linens at checkout. I received different conflicting responses (seemingly from different “people” at different ph#s who never gave me names). Yet in the midst of this I received an auto notification through the 3rd party rental app re: "extended checkout time availble" for a fee… LOL. Overall the PROCESS was very weird and impersonal, and sl annoying.... but HOUSE fine for our needs.
