Great location, near town but away from close neighbors due to trees around property. A ton of lake and recreation toys included. Fishing off the dock was awesome/had two docks to tie up our boat. I've never seen a more stocked kitchen in a vacation home. Will visit again for sure!
Host communicated well and was very friendly

Cabin is located on quiet bay at leech lake, with lots is wildlife to enjoy. Many extras provided including kitchen items, kayak, paddleboat, outdoor chairs. Clean and cozy. Would love to return.

Great property and location. 5 guys fit in the cabin without any issues. Quiet neighborhood, but far enough from neighbors to feel like we could be around fire pit talking/laughing without bothering anyone. Dock was great for 20ft boat to be tied to, just down the road from launch. Clean and organized cabin and outdoor spaces. Amanda was great with communicating with us, she was very cool about minor changes to our stay. Gas grill, charcoal grill or full kitchen to enjoy food at the cabin with great views or just down the road or short boat ride to Shingabee on the Bay for very convenient and amazing food for a good price. Hoping to make this an annual place to stay, Thank You Amanda!

Amanda was great to work with... and the cabin was cozy, clean and customized for fun (whether it be a bonfire or fishing off the dock). We want to return next year :) .

Owner communicates very well and is accommodating. The cabin is cute and welcoming, two full baths is a huge plus.
The fire ring overlooks the lake and has privacy from the road and neighbors. Great spot to finish the evening.

My family of 6 enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful cozy cabin on Shingobee Bay. The cabin sits on a hill overlooking the bay & the large picture widow displays the beautiful landscape. In the mornings, our son fished off the dock & the rest of us took turns using the paddle board & kayak provided by the host. The kitchen is fully stocked & the beds are comfortable. Many movies are provided for family movie nights. The host answered my questions in a timely manor & seems very kind. I hope to be able to vacation there again in the future.

Could have just sat at the table and looked out the picture window for the entire stay. Cozy place that didn’t disappoint. Would definitely go back.

We had a great time as a family at this cabin in the woods. We enjoyed the view, every morning by having coffee either sitting on the chairs outside or sitting at the table by the picture window. The property was the perfect location to enjoy both the shops or restaurants in Walker or hit up some of the machines at the casino. We had brought our boat so we enjoyed having our own dock to attach our boat to instead of having to take it out each night. We enjoyed fishing and tubing on the lake. The WiFi was service was good, this allowed us to stay an extra day since I had to do some work. Also we used my computer to watch Hulu and Netflix on the rainy day there isn’t a TV in the living room.

We had a last minute change in plans and another VRBO owner who knew Amanda reached out to her and asked if they could accommodate us last minute. Amanda was helpful and communicative. She responded fast the entire time we were setting up the stay and while we were there. She re arranged her plans to get the property ready. Upon arriving they were sweet and pleasant and made me feel like we were friends already. The accommodations were great. The fire pit, the view and the view were amazing. This was. Pure show of good hospitality and we met some amazing people!!

The fishing wasn't great, but the property was.

We had a great experience with this rental. The host was very attentive when I had a question. She also had a lot of things available for us to do outside and inside as well. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend. The only flaw was that the house is still under remodeling status, so there were a lot of unfinished things, but it didn't interfere with us enjoying our stay.

We had a great stay at the cabin. It has beautiful views and was in a great location. Amanda was quick to respond to our questions and easy to work with. They are in the process of remodeling, and what was done was really nice. Looking forward to staying again to see it all finished!

Great location!
Positives:
*Location is great! It is less than 10 minutes away from the city of Walker in a great bay that is part of the much larger Leech Lake. There is also easy access to Leech.
*Large private lot
*The owners were wonderful and accommodating! They responded very quickly any time we had a question.
Negatives:
*A relatively steep drop to the lake.
*New furnace and pump in the basement make a lot of noise making it hard to sleep at times.

Great 1st visit
We had the honor to be the first to be a guest of a wonderful cabin and host. The check in process was easy and the host was very easy to
communicate with before checking in. She explained that there was some construction going on but there were no surprises. (The construction seems to be mostly done and did not affect our weekend at all)
When we arrived the first thing noticed was the beautiful view from the back and inside the cabin with the huge picture window. The lot is large and it felt like a private cabin, we have been to other cabins where the neighbors seem right on top of you. The kitchen was completely stocked and had everything to make any meal easy. We enjoyed all our meals overlooking the lake.
The first night, we experienced some very strong storms and our hosts property lost a couple tree. She got lucky compared to some neighbors. The next morning we were without power but the neighbors stopped by and made sure we were ok. More importantly our host was willing to do anything for us and she was about three hours away. She volunteered to bring us a generator, ice and to obviously check on her place. We told her everything was ok but still wanted to help, and who could blame her. In the end she had another neighbor stop by and by that time we had power and all was good except for trees that fell.
The rest of the three night weekend was fantastic. We spent hours at the two docks on site and caught Sunnies, Bass, and other small fish. The stairs down could be a little tough but there is another nice path down. As mentioned we ate all our meals by the picture window and enjoyed the beautiful view. At night we had a fire and talked with music and never felt like we were bugging anyone.
We were very happy with our weekend and would come back in the future. The host was amazing, kind and very attentive. I hope anyone who visits this cabin has a weekend like ours (Without the severe storms).
