The home is 3 bedroom 2 bath home. Downstairs has a kitchen, living room, master bed with a queen mattress, and a detached master bathroom with a shower and bathtub that is stocked with towels, toilet paper, and body/shampoo soap.
Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one with a full bed and another bedroom with 2 twin beds. They are fully supplied with blankets and pillows. There is a guest bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower and is stocked with towels, toilet paper, and body/shampoo soap.

There is a guest unit next door. They have a separate private entrance and no space is shared with them. It is unlikely that you will hear or cross paths with them. The house is soundproofed between units, however, we do ask that you do not yell or play loud music. If you have a loud group or children running around in the evening in the living room we ask that you please close the bedroom and bathroom door downstairs for added noise protection. Thank you so much.
Laundry Room: *PLEASE NOTE* The laundry room is a shared space between myself, you, and my very trusted housekeeper who cleans the small unit next door. There are two entrances to the laundry room. There is an outdoor entrance into the laundry room which she will be entering through. There is another door with a keypad in the laundry room that enters directly into the kitchen. You are more than welcome to use the laundry room whenever you like but please always close the door behind you so you are not alarmed if my housekeeper comes into the laundry room. She will not enter into your space as your door will be closed.
For your peace of mind, there is a keyless entry pad to all doors, the front door, the side door, and the door inside the laundry room opening into the kitchen. The doors will always remain locked on the keyless entry pads.
We welcome dogs, please let me know before your stay. There is a cleaning fee of $75 per dog. This fee covers shedding, pet smell, and extra dirt traction throughout the house. This does not cover pee on carpet, soft waste on carpet, or ruined furniture.

Our stay here was fine. The location is great, super close to the main street of White Salmon and a quick trip over the bridge to Hood River. There was very little pre-arrival communication from the owner and as we arrived after dark we did have some trouble figuring out how to get in. One entry door/unit was very well lit up (string lights outside, lights on inside). We tried the door code several times before we realized there was a second, unlit door/unit off to the side of the well-lit one. Once we figured out that the dark unit (to the left) was the correct one it was fine but stairs down and yard were also not lit so that was actually a tad problematic with the stone path + luggage. The house is cute and was clean. In truth my biggest disappointment came when I realized it is cross-listed on the other big platform and was significantly cheaper there. That's on me but darnit. Stay here for the cute, clean, and convenient, but do your checking - and arrive while it's light out :)

We loved every minute of our time at this property. The views are breathtaking, the home is cozy and travel time to every activity was reasonable. We loved being off the beaten path and away from cruise ship traffic. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely comfortable house, convenient to Hood River and Gorge areas. Tricky navigating stairs in and out of yard.

We are friends that try to get together once a year and catch up. We loved the house! Wonderfully stocked kitchen. Enough beds that all 4 got their own bed. Quiet neighborhood. We cooked 4 meals and everything we needed was available to us. Thank you! We hope to stay here again.

We were family in White Salmon for a wedding. Great location, walkable to the downtown brewery, restaurants, bakery, park and close to the bridge over to Hood River.

Super cute place decorated with style in the heart of White Salmon. Our family enjoyed walking to the restaurants on the main street and the quick run across the bridge to Hood River and Mt. Hood.

Pros - The house is well stocked, comfortable, and conveniently located to the quaint downtown. The bakery was a particular hit with kids and seniors in our party. It's 5 mins to the bridge, so getting to Hood River or Mt Hood is quick and easy.
Cons - The home was not properly cleaned between us and the previous guests, and customer service from the host was disappointing.
2 Weeks before our arrival date, I made a request to amend our stay dates but got no response for 3 days. I needed Vrbo customer support to reach out and get the host to respond. But by the time the host did, the free change/cancellation window expired and the host had to manually process the adjusted rate after some back-and-forth.
We had to further delay our arrival by a day because the National Weather Service recommended not driving on I-84 due to ice warnings. The host dismissed our request for a refund for the night we were not there. They cited the booking policy, which we were well aware of, but even a partial refund would've been appreciated.
While unpacking clothes I found a weekly pill/medication box in the bureau in the kid's room filled with unknown tablets and gummy-looking items, which we assume was from the last guests. We're quite relieved our 6y.o. didn't find them first. I raised this with the host, and when they eventually got back to me it was only to say that they were surprised their cleaner overlooked it without acknowledging what a life-threatening error it was. As none was offered, I requested a conciliatory gesture and the host offered to refund 50% of the cleaning fee.
While doing a final room check on our way out, we found someone else's bra on the top shelf of the walk-in closet. I'm 6ft 4in so it's not surprising someone shorter wouldn't see it, but when you pay an arm and a leg for cleaning, you expect more thoroughness.
In following up about the refund a week after we left, the host asked for proof of the medication box. I didn't have any because we left the box in the house. It's been 2 weeks since our trip and still no refund or response to messages, so it appears they've reneged on the refund offer.

The house was extremely clean and well stocked. The rooms are larger than they appear in the pictures. The location was very close to downtown and we walked to dinner and coffee everyday. The owner was very easy to get ahold of. I cannot say enough good things and would highly recommend this home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in White Salmon as we explored the Columbia Gorge region. The house and location were perfect for going back and forth from WA to OR sides of the Columbia River. Host was very responsive if we had a question. Highly recommend pizza night (Monday nights only) at the White Salmon Bakery. If you are looking for a topnotch White Water Rafting experience, check out Zoller's Outdoor Odysseys in White Salmon INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do the long rafting tour, if you are physically able. Truly one of the greatest experiences of our lives. We will be back!
