We had suck a great time. The cottage is as advertised. Very secluded. The pictures are not misleading. Very private wooded area. We had no issues with the property. Everything was working as expected. The owner made herself known to us in case we needed anything. We are looking forward to coming back in a different season to enjoy the cottage in the winter months as well.

Very cozy and serene getaway. Loved the quiet and rustic charm. Had a blast meeting the horses and Dodge. Overall a wonderful experience. Would definitely love to visit again.

Exactly what was needed. Sometimes a few days in a cabin in the woods is all you need to have the stress of the city wash away. It had everything a guest could need. Brought food and never left the property for the entire stay. Easy to find. Pictures are accurate. Great communication with the owner. Will be back!

This cabin is so beautiful and a great place to stay. Has all the amenities you could need, check in was a breeze, and communicating with the host was also great. Very secluded, we didn’t see anyone except when we went for groceries/to the public beach. Hot tub was an amazing bonus! Would love to book again.

This was a charming log cabin, well-equipped with amenities, and in a great location in a secluded wooded area just off the main road yet still very close to some of the local attractions. We enjoyed the close proximity to Homestead Orchards, Sibbald Provinicial Park, Antiques on 48, and the Corner House Bistro :) The hot tub was our favourite with the cozy gaming nook our second, PS great selection of coffee provided by the host. Communication with the host leading up to the trip was quite easy, we would definetly stay here again!

Perfect place to get away from the fast pace and noise of the city. Finding the place and checking in was easy. Everything was clean and in working order. The weather wasn’t particularly on our side, but even in the rain was a very enjoyable experience. Easily one of the best places to let loose and day drink. 10/10 would recommend, and we are looking forward to returning in the future

My partner & I had a great stay! The fire pit and hot tub were definitely huge perks but the area is also great. We travelled with our dog and having nearby hiking trails & dog friendly beaches was amazing.

Pictures don't do justice! The attention to detail and the coziness of it, it was absolutely perfect. The twinkle lights that came on at night around the cabin, while relaxing in the hot tub, talk about PEACEFULNESS! It has everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. From kitchen essentials, board games and even movies for a rainy day. You will fall in love with it just like we did! We will definitely be returning!

The property was secluded, private and unique. The hot tub under the stars was perfect as well as viewing the stars as you drifted off asleep! Owner was very hospitable and answered and messages/questions right away. There were lots of little thoughtful extras to make our stay enjoyable! A wonderful and unique find!

Beautiful peaceful place to reconnect with rhe wife on her birthday. No reason to go out to eat a full kitchen there to use. The skylights in the bedroom were amazing as we had a full moon those nights and watching the sunrise in bed was amazing as well

Our trip was absolutely amazing. I can't even begin to describe how much fun we had. Everything was perfect, and the host was great. We will be booking this place again.

Great location off the beaten path but a quick drive to Lake Simcoe and different hiking locations as well as some delicious restaurants.

A great place to get away from it all to relax and recharge. The cabin is cozy and was perfect for us and our dog. Gives that feeling of isolation but still close enough to town you can get anything you need. A bonus for us was the time we got to spend in the horse barn with the new foals. Marie was a great host and helped make this trip something extra special with the time we spent with the horses.

It's a beautiful cabin. It's a home away from home. My wife and I really enjoyed the stay.

We had such a lovely stay at the cabin. It is the perfect cozy place for a little getaway. Marie answered all messages very quickly and decorated the place in such a warm and inviting way. There are lots of walking trails nearby, and they even provide snow shoes if you’re lucky to have enough snow.

My partner and I had such an amazing time at the log cabin. We enjoyed the amenities such as the hot tub, the fire pit, and the overall atmosphere of the log cabin! Definitely a romantic getaway from everyday life. It was wonderful meeting Marie, Dodge, and her horses and we would definitely come back for another stay

A cozy, relaxing and warm atmosphere! Our stay was a week long and even though we were met with rain most days, it did not dampen our spirits. The cabin is a perfect getaway - lots of things to do! At the cabin: read, crafts, games, bonfires and hot tubing. Maybe even meet the horses! Close by: excellent hiking trails, boutique shops, antiques, and picturesque drives. We definitely recommend! Love that it’s perfect for couples and pet friendly.

My husband and I wanted a quiet place to escape the busy day to day life BUT wanted to bring our pup since we are gone to much of the year. This cabin was perfect! The peaceful scenery, cozy and inviting cabin and decor plus all the things we needed to have full cooked meals and drinks before having a fire or slipping into the hot tub. The bed was cozy. The wooden log stairs are tight for tall people and scared pups to go up, but we managed fine. We explored sibble national park which was beautiful this time of year. Lake simcoe was still warm. We even gor to meet all 4 horse's from the host. Therapeutic to say the least. We will definitely be back. We got some great videos and photos that we will cherish for years to come. 7th wedding anniversary done right. Thankyou again Marie. It was such a fun space for us to enjoy. OH, and definitely try Messhall restaurant. The prosciutto and Pear pizza was amazing.

We enjoyed our romantic weekend getaway! Thank you for sharing your little piece of wilderness and cute cabin with us! We will recommend your cabin to others looking for a nice getaway. Was a perfect spot to watch the stars!

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at the cabin this past week and had the most relaxing and peaceful stay. It was everything we expected and more. We loved watching the stars while enjoying the hot tub and just enjoying the nature view. Groceries, gas and everything else just minutes away along with beautiful drive along Lake Simcoe. We would definitely come back.

Overall, communication with Marie was excellent. The property was cute and definitely a log cabin in the woods. Things that were not acceptable - hornets nest above the entrance door, lumpy/uncomfortable bed and there were hornets trying to get out of the skylights above the bed.
Terrifying. Lack of hot water. Frying pan we used was pitted and needs to be replaced. Broken windows. Extremely humid. Thank God I took my dehumidifier with me. Hot tub was "murky" so we didn't use it. Furniture was old and damp. I would not recommend this place.

The cabin is great. Quirky, unique and alotgether delightful. Location is, perhaps, not as "remote" as the pictures might mead you to think, but it's quiet and pretty private. Cabin is very well equipped, especially with regard to cooking, and still very "cozy"
We stayed 2 nights, and I practically had to drag my wife out to the car to leave!
Hot tuib excellent, and the inside games and "horseshoes" outsidde were a nice touch...

The Cabin was so quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for. It was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. Marie was a very attentive host. Quick response when we had questions. The little touches made it so special. Wine on arrival, a few groceries in the fridge. We loved the skylights above the bed and of course the hot tub.
