Welcome to “Japandi'' a modern 3BR Townhome located in the heart of Traverse City. A mash-up of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian simplicity. With an open kitchen and well defined living space. It is perfect for families and small groups looking to stay close to all the attractions of TC, wineries, and craft breweries and restaurants.
Due to HOA rules and regulations this property does not allow pets, we appreciate your understanding.
Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

This Traverse City townhome boasts two downstairs bedrooms and one loft upstairs bedroom to come home to after exploring the area. The master bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. If you’re traveling with a young one, you’ll find a Pack and Play crib and a highchair in the closet. The second bedroom features a queen bed, while the third loft is outfitted with a queen bed and a full sofa futon.
Three bedrooms, a Pack and Play crib, one fold-out sofa bed mean this home can comfortably accommodate up to six adults and/or an infant, a rare commodity in the middle of Traverse City.
Note that the loft bedroom is located on the second floor.

The townhome has two full baths, so there’s no need to worry about scrambling for shower time. All bathrooms feature high quality amenities.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up tasty meals, including new stainless steel appliances, an instant pot, a crock pot, a blender, and a separate coffee station with an assortment of coffee and tea available. There are also kids' bowls, utensils, and a high chair for young families.

Just across from the kitchen and dining room is the cozy living room with plush furnishings, a flat-screen Smart TV equipped with HULU live cable channels, Netflix, and Disney+ for your own logins. If you’re looking for some family fun or group activity, check out our board game collection. There are also some kids' toys and books available.
Head out to the patio through the sliding glass doors after making your book selection, slip into the outdoor chairs and enjoy. Morning coffees in the cool breeze are also a treat.
Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $50.00, please contact us for further information.
Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.
Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Cleaning and Maintenance:
Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.
Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house.
Visitors & Noise:
No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 6 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.
Pets: Due to HOA rules and regulations this property does not allow pets, we appreciate your understanding.
Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.
We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.
Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property (per owner’s approval). Owner has the right to ask guest(s) to leave the property if these rules are violated. If legal action is taken against guest(s), the at fault party will be responsible for all law suits/lawyer fees. My two sons and I spent the weekend relaxing and wine/beer tasting in Traverse. This place was perfect for us. Very confortable. Well decorated. Well equiped. Location was convenient.
I would definitely recommend to others and book again myself.

This was the perfect house for our girls weekend, we had 5 girls and everyone had a blast. It was a short cab ride to downtown (if it was summer we could have walked). The house was clean!

Super cute condo & very clean. We came for wine tasting and a girls weekend. Super easy to find & about 1 milefrom downtown. The owners had great recommendations for restaurants & things to do. Garage is tight for a car but we made it work.

The apartment was comfortable and had all sorts of amenities. The rooms were clean and the location to everything was perfect. Only downfall was the garage was very small; we barely fit our daughter’s Equinox on an angle. Also, there is no view at this property; if the climbing gym painted a mural on the cement wall it would be a nice addition.

This vrbo was very pleasant. A bit smaller than appears in pictures. It is decorated wonderfully. Within 5-10 minute drive of the “cute” downtown area. Floor was a bit sandy.

This condo is beautifully decorated with a mid century modern vibe and provides all the amenities which was refreshing. From the basics; soap, shampoo, conditioner, to laundry soap, razors, floss…kids games, high chairs, and more! They seem to think of everything.
It was a bit tight for our group of six adults to sit and watch Thanksgiving Football but we just added patio chairs. There is only one closet to hang your items so keep that in mind if it’s important to you.

After making my booking, I contacted the owner less than 48 hours later asking if I could cancel or change the dates of my booking. They refused to work with me at all except for finally allowing me to cancel but requesting a $400 fee. I understand the terms I agreed to when I made the booking, but this is borderline theft given that I was requesting changes nearly right after booking. On top of that, when we finally arrived at the property, we learned there’s only 3 beds. The “sofa bed” is just a small futon that doesn’t fit a normal sized adult.

Great little place for a getaway. It was a 10 to 20 min walk to most anywhere in downtown area shops and restaurants. All in all fun trip and clean house.

Lovely home
We spent couple nights in our vacation at Traverse city. This apartment has a great location from downtown and the lake. Very comfortable and a lot of amenities to have a good time in TC. The house is full renovated.

The hosts provided everything and more that you would expect when renting a home, the check-in process was quite easy and the hosts were in regular communication to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. We didn't have any problems during the stay, but I am sure that they would have been resolved promptly had we encountered anything.
The location is fantastic as well - very close to running/biking tails near Boardman lake and two great breweries, The Filling Station and Silver Spruce, that were convenient for winding down near the home. We have been to Traverse City many times (once or twice per year for the last few years), but had never been to either of these places and were thankful that they were listed in the detailed guidebook as we likely would have just gone to our usual spots had the hosts not provided these as suggested spots.

My parents, who are in their seventies, shared one bedroom with their own bathroom, my husband and I shared another and our two teenage daughters shared the loft. Everyone had their own space and we gathered in the livingroom to watch movies. The property managers were excellent with communication and the location was close to everything. It was perfect!
