Here I leave you a list of activities you can do and all you need to know about them:
- Waterfall "el salto del Nogal".
It's located 14km from the center of Tapalpa taking freeway 437. It's recommended to arrive by cross over, Suv or truck, once you reach the descent zone, leave the vehicle and continue on foot forminutes until you reach the waterfall. I recommend you to bring water, snacks, as well as a cap and comfortable clothing and shoes. You could also use a stick or cane for support in descent and ascent because although the path is well marked, it is a dirt road and stones that can become difficult in some sections. It is not recommended for older adults, small children or people with asthma, knees problems or bad physical condition. If you arrive early you can find tour guides who will guide you during the journey for no more than $ 200 pesos.
The landscapes along the way are incredible and although it is a quite difficult journey the reward is worth it with the beautiful view of the barracks and the waterfall.
