The property is in a beautiful location with a wonderful house that is well appointed and absolutely perfect for a group stay!

Our group had a wonderful stay at the historic Riverside. It was nice that each couple had their own bathroom, beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean, kitchen was well stocked - had everything we needed to prepare meals. Brigit, the host, is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the Riverside. The house is charming, clean, and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. It was great to bring our dogs. The river and Kendall trail are in your front yard— we enjoyed swimming, floating, and hiking. Had good meals at both friendsville public house and mountain brewing company. It is in the middle of nowhere but sometimes nowhere is the place you want to be! Shout out also to Chris— the friendly and helpful next door neighbor!

The purpose of our trip was to be together to commemorate the birthday of a lost member of our family. Our stay at the Riverside was a wonderful experience. We had ample room to be comfortable and found Friendsville to be very quaint and welcoming.

Beautiful place! Love that we could float the river and land back at the house. Great area to sit and watch the river and could dip your feet in if you wanted. Loved the front porch! Whole family was able to sit together. Loved the information provided about the house and brochures for other local areas of interest.

We love Brigit and the Riverside house. This was our second stay, and we loved the lazy tube ride down the river in the evening!

Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our extended weekend. The location was close enough to Deep Creek for dining out and there were several locations in town to dine also. The house was clean and gave us ample room to spread out and/or gather together as we wanted. We had several generations in our party and the house was perfect for all of us. Thanks to Bridgett (sp?) she is very responsive and willing to help.

The Riverside is a great getaway for friends getting together to hang out. The kitchen makes for great group cooking, but we spend most of our time on the porch gaming with the beautiful water and trees blowing in the breeze. (And thank goodness for the room window AC units!)

Very nice, clean and updated historic building with lots of room. The location is fabulous right on the river. We had a family reunion there and everyone enjoyed it. This is our second time here.
The owner is extremely helpful and very quick to respond to you. You won't be disappointed if you choose Riverside for your family or friends.

We loved the renovated rustic and historic feel and relaxed vibe of the riverfront property. The front porch and long table are a perfect gathering place. We recharged our nature cells with long walks beside the river. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed to cook large meals.
The Beds were comfortable and well appointed. Bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels and toiletries.
Ample parking and easy walk to a couple of cafes for breakfast or lunch.
There is some highway noise but with the air conditioners running it didn’t bother our sleep.
Our host made sure we had everything we needed and was very prompt to our questions.
We hope to return next year.

It was a unique experience. Our grandchildren got a kick out of the single hallway upstairs with 6 bedrooms and 4 baths. Kitchen was well appointed. Owner left supplies that might have been forgotten ( laundry and dish detergent, trash bags, foil, baggies, etc.) available. We did use a few things but replaced them. Owner could not have been more responsive. The weather was frigid but space heaters were available to warm up nooks and crannies. Plenty of blankets and pillows!

We had a large group going to a football game 30 minutes away. The place was perfect. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Historical charm but very clean and had everything we needed. We didn’t have a chance to spend any time in town but there is a beautiful river right out front and we tried a pub down the street that had delicious food. It as perfect and we plan to stay again!

Was close to the event we came for. Only complaint was owner should of had instructions to use TV. The little time we had to watch we could not.

Perfect location for rafting the Yough. The Riverside has lots of character and plenty of bathrooms. We hope to return next year for our Father/son rafting weekend. We enjoyed playing cards on the front porch, campfire in the backyard, breakfast in the dining room, and biking around town.

The Riverside was the perfect spot for our golf and football weekend! It’s clean, comfortable, gave everyone their own room (+plenty of bathrooms), and had everything we needed! Brigit was very kind and welcoming and I could tell that she was interested in making sure we were set up well. Internet/wifi worked great for us and we really enjoyed the atmosphere out on the front porch with the view of the water. I and my group will definitely consider staying again, and we’re all very grateful for the hospitality, accommodations, and our experience in Friendsville. Oh and it’s an easy/fun walk over the Friendsville Public House too!

My siblings and our spouses came from 3 different states to visit our Aunt and Cousin who live in Friendsville. We used to come here for family reunions as we were growing up and my Grandma was living.
The house was right on the Yough, so we spent a LOT of time on the porch watching the water and ratters go by. The porch has a large table with benches and a couple lawn chairs, but we all brought our own and put them out so we all had a comfy place to sit.
There's a large dining table indooithat seats at least 8 that we had breakfast at each morning. The sitting room that has the only TV in the house is quite small, but we didn't miss it since we kept so busy the whole time we were there.
The bedrooms were very spacious and it was nice having our own bathrooms! We stayed very cool while sleeping with our window air conditioners, as well. The rest of the home, except the bedrooms, is not air conditioned, so we put a fan in the dining room and pointed towards the kitchen which really did a great job!
The host provided small containers of toiletries, tp, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc Something else we loved was that she allows past renters to leave unopened things that the next guest may be able to use. We used some and also left some!😊
The check in and checkout was the easiest I have EVER had. We would definitely recommend this location.

This historical property was the perfect spot for our “cousin’s reunion”. It was always fun to sit on the front porch to reminisce and watch the river and the rafters float by. The kitchen was well equipped and lots of little extras. The bedrooms offered lots of flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Our group had 5 children, 4 single adults, and 2 married couples. No problem. And Brigit, the host, was always responsive to our inquiries in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this VRBO.

Everything was above expectations. Lots of room for everyone. The hostess provided many things that are usually not included with a VRBO. Beautiful porch and quient historical atmosphere with modern improvement. Couldn't be better. Exactly as described.
Thanks for sharing your home with our family. We are returning next year.

The property is a great place to get away from the bustle of life. It is a perfect country visit with spacious accommodations. It was perfect for our board gaming retreat! The nearby park, place to go rafting, and electronic car charging station less than 1 minute away is also set up for families. The men can game, the kids and wives have plenty to do in the surrounding area. We will be back.

The Riverside is a great place for a family gathering. We had 7 adults and 6 children stay here for 5 days and it fit all our needs. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook and serve meals. Our children played in the large backyard and we all took walks along the river and enjoyed the views from the windows.

Wow! I could not be more pleased with our stay at The Riverside! A beautiful home! The property manager was so accommodating and responsive. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend! Our family came together for the holiday and just loved the house, the area, and the opportunity to stay in such a neat place. Thanks for everything, Brigit!!

This place is just wonderful, and I can't wait to come back. There was more than enough space for our group of 6, everything was clean and easy to use, and it was so quiet and relaxing. Being in walking distance to a few stores and sights was lovely. Will 100% be coming back in the future.

The host is fantastic
The host is really great. The rooms are very clean and well organized. The host left the treats in refrigerator, all kinds of stuffs for the summer and welcome notes. Great experience even the house seems old and does have the history.
