Austin’s largest VRBO Penthouse in the heart of historic Rainey street. Have a glass of wine with the ladies while enjoying breathtaking views from either of the two balconies. Furnished by Austin’s global design winning studio - Four Hands - the space is relaxing, warm, comforting and modern. So many options to consider while relaxing on the sofa or having a cup of coffee in the dining area to include reading a good book, streaming a show on the 75” TV, listening to the Sonos music system, or enjoying the views through the floor to ceiling windows.
While the optimal guest count is 4-6 guests, the unit has the ability to flex up and host 12-13 guests. All mattresses are very comfortable ( no fold out sofa’s here) 1 king, 2 Queen and 4 ($1200) twin roll out beds. ** undisclosed overnight guests are billed at $150 per person per night. Please make sure guest count is correct. If you are planning an event- let’s discuss.
A few reasons why spending a little extra to stay in the heart of Austin and avoid horrific hours waiting in traffic / hunting for parking. We strongly advise taking the 15 minute uber from the airport. Valet parking is available but pricey and street parking is difficult to find… truth told - there is little need for a car.
You are steps away from Austin's best nightlife and more than 30 restaurants, town lake & nearby museums. Brunch, lunch, dinner are literally a few steps away along with a small but plentiful grocery store should you choose to stay in and test your chef skills.
It’s a 3-5 minute walk on Rainey street or alongside the lake and you will arrive Van Zandt / 4 seasons for a great brunch or speakeasy cocktail.

Stunning views and everything you would need to enjoy yourself in Austin. Close to many fun things. Check in process could be improved but owner was amazing helping us finally get to where we needed to be!

The location was perfect and the view was spectacular. The bachelorette party was a huge success.

The penthouse is clean and has a spectacular view of the river and the city. It comfortably accommodated our family of 5 adults.

Beautiful property with an amazing balcony. Close to the funky bars on Rainey Street.

The apartment was just as awesome as it looked in the photos. We will definitely book this place again whenever we have friends visiting Austin.

Tell Dallas that the guest bath shower handle needs work. The bath to shower lever is broken. We were able to use a screw driver to make it work

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and the apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. Dallas was responsive, made our checking in and out process easy.

Five of us fit comfortably in this beautiful penthouse.
The pool was a great addition.
Check in was easy and Dallas was quick to respond with any questions.

We reserved this condo for my sons 30th birthday so we could have a nice place to cook and have a family dinner. We loved the property and the location. We were having 4 people spend the night after our dinner. I checked the rules and they said you could have a celebration as long as the max staying over didn't' go over the 4.
The first issue was that when we got there to check in we were told we would be able to get the key from the maid at 1p, however the maid wasn't there until 2 pm. We had food for dinner that we had to hope didn't go bad until we could get it in the refrigerator.
The next thing was the ac wasn't working, we could not get ahold of the host for hours. Luckily we were out by the pool for a while while we kept trying to get a response from him. Once we came back up to the unit still no ac. We had managed to get ahold of the front desk and they came and changed the batteries however that was not the problem. The thermostat was bad. When we did finally get the host he came up to the unit threatening to have us evicted because we had family there for our dinner.
He then said he would charge more and that it wasn't him charging or threatening to evict. He said it was VRBO however they said they have no authority to evict us or charge more. He lied to us, I was so upset thinking we wouldn't have anywhere to stay I almost took the bait and said I would pay more. I thought more about it and realized he is a bully and looked for a reason to charge more.

Nice place. The building makes Checking in difficult. I wish I would have had better arrangements for checking in prior.
It’s listed as 3 bedroom. There are only two private bedrooms. The third bed is a drop down from the wall in the common area so there is no privacy.
The motorized screen did not work on the master so we could not see out of that window.
Overall it was a nice condo. Hist needs to add a toaster and additional hair drier.

Great location, great views, weird check-in process, and unresponsive host with bedroom issue. We chose this listing because it was a 3 bedroom. 3 bedrooms are clearly listed, however "bedroom 1" in the listing details does not exist. The 3rd bedroom is actually a murphy bed in the common area, no privacy and extremely bright with all the windows. Our 3rd party ended up leaving and getting a hotel room so he could get some sleep. When we asked about "bedroom 1" the host referred us to a layout picture in the listing and ignored the fact its widely advertised as a 3 bedroom. When we asked for a discount since our guest left to get a hotel room we received no response.

There is another review from last February that describes the check-in process with the hidden key… that is accurate. I did not find any directions on what to do for checking out… which was in line with the limited information provided for checking in. We were supposed to get an email the day before and we got nothing… which caused us to reach out to the owner the morning of our arrival, the phone number didn’t work, so then we had to follow up with the Vrbo customer service. The views are excellent…the place needs some repairs. We just left the keys on the table inside the apt… because we had to catch a flight and I didn’t feel comfortable putting the key back in the emergency exit stairwell. Communication and description needs some improvement. We stayed one night- my sister loved it and we were celebrating her birthday. But overall for the price, it definitely needs more attention to detail and a better check in system.

Great location. Only two bedrooms w a murphy bed in general open area and a bunch of roll outs if needed. One walk in shower. Other is a tub / shower. Very clean. High end accommodation. Nicely decorated. Quick uber to the strip on 6 th. Or walk it. This place is Not on Rainey Street. It is One block over.
Good bars and cheap eats if you want to try many taco truck and other trucks nearby. Lots of high rise construction right here. Sorry the original neighborhood vibe is going high- rise! We enjoyed this place very much despite 4 days of gray weather and some drizzle rain.

Very nice spacious suite with an amazing view of downtown and the west Austin hills. Only wish there was a key code for the door instead of having to do a key exchange.

Surprisingly quiet, very clean, great new appliances. Beautiful views. Not sure why the address is incorrect upon check in, that was a bit of an issue as we had several people checking in at different times. Otherwise, love the fitness space, pool, and yoga space.

This property delivered on every aspect. The description of the property and pictures perfectly reflected the penthouse. Our party of nine was very comfortable and had plenty of room. It was evident that the owner has put a lot of thought into making sure guests have what they need. The extra fold out beds offered for guests were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on. The big table in the kitchen, plenty of room in the living room, and very comfortable outdoor couch on the balcony made for great spaces to hang with friends. The location one block from Rainey St provided easy access to everything downtown and allowed us to walk right out of the building and walk Town Lake instantly. The views from the balcony were absolutely gorgeous, and were a great way to share the beautiful city of Austin with out of town guests. We experienced excellent communication with the property manager/owner. He was available at all times and genuinely wants guests to have a great experience. The valet parking amenity offered was extremely convenient and valet staff were incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this property and will also consider renting it again in the future.

check in process… the address given to you is not of this unit and you had to text the owner for checking in as it was never provided. the whole process is strange as he gives you the address and tells you to bypass management, to a location of a hidden key (he will send you a video) and that key is not secured in any way… anyone has access to it or can find it. You then get the keys of the unit which are tracked meaning you are tracked by a Tile.
Unit over all is nice, def not meant for the number of people indicated you will trip over each other with all the cots and no room to walk! It is not a three bedroom unit, but two with a murphy bed in the living space tucked in the corner.
Rules are listed everywhere as if you are all ready going to break something…. Do not expect any amenities…Decor is nice.
The building is all short term rental so be prepared for drunken people knocking on doors.
We were there Thurs - Sunday and the power went out, he didn’t have anything to say or help… and we are on a high floor of the building....
Checking out, we did as the rules said, throw towels in and put the keys back where they all were…
Tues- he sends nasty messages about us ripping blinds off the wall and charges us fees for this… Mind you we checked out Sun and the key is in a very public location. We also asked for proof as he had two sets of blinds and one was not fully installed.
No proof…
Take a pass on this nice unit all bc of the owner

The views from this condo are absolutely spectacular--water views with the entire city as well. The condo is within walking distance of everything on Rainey Street, but it still stays quiet in the unit. This condo is located in a great building with all the amenities--gym, dog walk, coffee shop in lobby, beautiful common spaces.

I recommend the apartment. I do not recommend the host. The property manager (Dallas) was unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. He is representative of a larger problem with online short term rentals and Austin vacation rentals. Greedy real-estate investors from california have no problem gentrifying the city and then making its own inhabitants feel unwelcome. They don’t posses the experience or aptitude to be in the hospitality business. He should find a profesional to manage the place for him. Check-in was sloppy. Communication was rude. These are vital parts of the vacation rental business. It is important to be accommodating to guests. Honestly Dallas, I wag my finger and shake my head. You should be ashamed of yourself. As an Austinite and a host myself, I invite you to sell your holdings in this city and find another line of work.

Fantastic view! Walkable to great food and Rainey St. action. Comfy beds, plenty of seating and space to hang out, full sized fridge, roof top pool, and yoga in the building. Could use a couple more mirrors/outlets for multiple people to get ready at once, but good option to stay together rather than in multiple hotel rooms.

Fantastic view from a new, high-end property. The sunsets were amazing each night! Spacious unit with solid furnishings. The host was very responsive.
Primary disappointments were some confusion as to how many “enclosed” sleeping spaces there actually were (only two bedrooms — the third primary space is a murphy bed out in the open main room — and the fact that some of the motorized shades weren’t functioning properly.
But overall, a great choice that I’ll definitely be looking to book again on my next trip to Austin.

Truly enjoyed the views & even had a chance to spend an hour at the pool in between work meetings. Host was great at communication, which is always so refreshing. Thank you!

There were 6 of us in Austin for a real estate convention. This was an awesome spot. It is steps from Rainey and less than a mile from the convention center. The condo looked just like the photos except the view is even prettier! Would stay again.
