Unique and appealing decor. Cleanliness. Freshness. Parking near rooms. Kind staff.
Difficult to see entry from toad. Signage not visible enough.

The design of this place is absolutely incredible. That applies to both common area and rooms. Cocktails at the bar were also very good.
It's definitely understaffed and overpriced. 1) So far I've never seen that such a nice place couldn't offer smth like a bottle of Champagne when you mention that it's your's anniversary so I was disappointed. 2) Person who worked as both a waited, server and host was nice but it's tooooo much for him. He was kinda lost with all of those obligations. 3) Assuming it's in the middle of nowhere and for the same money you can get a lot more in most areas I'd rather selected another place to stay in even if it doesn't look that nice.

we were very satisfied with location, bar, shower facilities, staff.
The room was large and clean, the back side of the hotel was very quiet and comfortable
The bar area was very beautiful and coffee was excellent
nothing. Everything was perfect

Very nicely designed, a really interesting use of the space. We really were impressed by the materials used. Things like doors and hardware were solid and substantial and elegant. It really made a statement in terms of how the concept of a motel has been reimagined. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Lovely outdoor space as well as indoor common areas. Even though it is on the highway, which makes it necessary to get around by car, the location was very convenient to downtown Lenox.
The bathroom needs more hooks, because there aren’t enough places to hang towels or a robe. Later in the evening, around ten, we realized we only had one bath towel. It was difficult to reach anyone as there is no phone in the room. I sent a request through the screen for towels. I did not hear back from anyone for two hours. At midnight I received a reply, and was asked if I wanted someone to come with towels now. I said, yes, please, in five minutes. I waited half an hour and no one came. Finally, we gave up and went to bed. Someone did come in the morning. It just seems to me there needs to be a clearer line of communication with the front desk and housekeeping. The only reason I didn’t walk to the front desk is because it was late and cold and raining. We also were surprised that there was never any daily housekeeping in the room. I don’t think that was made clear. We made our own bed, and it was obvious that no one came in on a daily basis to do things like wipe down the sink. That might be their protocol, but we had not been made aware of it.

The location was wonderful and centrally located to anything you might want to explore while you are in the Berkshires. The out door garden was very nice and lots of places to rest and relax. The staff was very helpful and was very responsive via email.
The rooms are on the smaller side if you are looking for extra space. I wish there was a luggage rack for you bags, a make-up mirror in the bathroom and additional lighting in the room. Clearly not a deal breaker!

The entry room was wonderful - high ceilings and just lovely - the guests hanging around seemed really cool. seems to be targeted to writers - love the decor so much!! (Once some years ago, we stayed in this hotel when it was a creepy cheap motel!!) Now it is absolutely lovely. The room was great too .What a transformation!
No breakfast. no people. there was no coffee. the check in guy at night wasn't pleasant. the whole staff experience was just weird. Literally no people anywhere in the morning, not even a cleaning person. Tables set up for breakfast but no humans. And no coffee.

The staff was very welcoming. The lobby area was warm and comfortable. Central location
I didn't realize from the website that it was a motel set-up. The room was clean and nicely furnished, but I wish it was a little bigger.

great staff, cozy room. good value for what it is. bed was cozy.
the room was really dry especially with the heat on. the parking lot wasn’t plowed/shoveled. was a little upset the lobby bar was closed. snacks were very expensive.

Very stylish, reasonable price, staff responsive and pleasant.
Style over substance. Rooms were so small that you could only get in and out of bed on one side. Gaps under the door, no place to put you luggage, a ridiculously overpriced mini bar and no restaurant as advertised.

Lovely design and staff very nice, the bed is super comfy !

There were a lot of nice amenities, little extra touches.
The restaurant/lounge area was great.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and welcoming.
Parking was easy and close to room door.
Let me have a late checkout at noon.
The door on the room was very heavy and the mechanism was set very tight to open and close. No big deal though.
The mini bar stuff was great but extremely expensive. Like a 500% markup, but to be expected, I guess.
I had some stuff I wanted to put in the fridge, but it was full of mini bar drinks all nicely spaced, so I couldn't really use the fridge. Also no big deal, I had a cooler.

The communication, no phone number on Booking. Needed to verify some facts and there was nobody to talk to. Tried to send msg, there was a field to write he msg, but the send button was not there.
Also at 11 PM they send a msg to m i phone about late check in . They woke me up. The system should be updated once the guest checks in. Also there was no microwave and the fridge was flull of driks to purchase. I would prefer empty fridge. Also too many pillows on a full size bed. You do not need 4 of them, 2 would be sufficient The extras are in your way.

Small room.

I liked that it was clean, i loved the lobby with a fireplace, i liked that parking was right next to the room, the room was well appointed and had a very nice bed and restroom
I didn't like the uber-tech sensibility, everything was via QR codes, there was no phone for the front desk, you only got them via chat. I suppose this saves on labor, but I felt it a bit impersonal. I did not like that to watch ANY TV (even local news) you had to pay extra, which i declined to do. I thought white wine in the lobby was super expensive ($17).

A motel with nice finishes- the design was great in the lobby area and rooms, and staff- if which they were very short staffed was amazing! Attentive, fun and nice. The chef did a GREAT job with food given limited facilities, but was pricey.
I was there over holidays and the location is on a very busy road, nothing charming or quaint. It's a motel style building that just had the finished upgraded. Def not worth the $300+/ NIGHT. Didn't include andy breakfast or snacks, coffee wasn't available until 8am, and the rooms were only accessible by outside, with one window, that you needed to keep closed or everyone would see in. Heating unit was LOUD. Hot water/ pressure wasn't good, and all around just very separated. About 10 min to town and to Bosquet Mtn. but not walking distance to anything given road is so busy.

The room was very small. Although the motel appears cozy, it would have been better to stay at the Marriott where the rooms are larger, more services are available and trains its staff in proper customer relations.

Great staff, beautiful common area that was very atmospheric. Wonderful linens.
The heater sounded like a jet engine. it was a foot from the bed under the window in a big cage. I didn’t sleep due to the roar of the fan.
all the lights in EVERY room were left on constantly day and night. An incredibly wasteful energy policy that I found rather shocking in this day and age. Life House should consider sucking less energy from the life of the planet.
Pet fee of $85. Booking.com does not state the pet fees on their site and unless one goes to the hotel site or contacts the property you don’t know in advance the pet fee. Booking.com should quote the actual pet fee.

Stylish, clean, comfortable beds and linens, Apple TV, stocked mini fridge and snacks, awesome shower, the toiletries were amazing, cute and cozy “club room.”
Off a main highway, it’s a quick drive to Pittsfield and or Lenox but it’s a hard road to pull on to. False advertising- It is not a “mountain retreat.” It is a renovated updated inn. The club room was cozy and intimate but seemed it would be cramped during busier seasons. Shower took over a half hour to warm up. There is a cute tray of snacks and beverages while arriving. They are NOT complimentary.

rooms are small. heater in room was loud and hard to keep at a consistent temperature
