About this house rental

Best of both worlds! Enjoy a day at the beach and continue your vacation the rest of the day/evening in our Sunset Manor home. This water-view property (with direct bay access) has unobstructed spectacular open bay views from every level that will make you feel like you are truly on vacation from inside and outside the home.
This recently built reverse living home includes a 1st floor extra large garage with ping pong table, room for a car and plenty of storage space for beach toys, chairs and bikes...additionally, there is also a two car driveway. Off the garage there is a covered outdoor picnic area, hammock, seating area with adirondack chairs to enjoy bay views and huge outdoor shower. There is kayak and 2 paddle access to the bay right off the back yard! (double kayak and 2 lifetime paddle boards included in your stay)
The second floor has 3 bedrooms plus a primary en suite bedroom, large laundry room and full hallway bathroom with soaking tub. The third level (reversed living) has an amazing open floor plan with the back of the home being almost completely glass for full views to absolutely stunning water views from any where you are sitting inside the home. You can step out out on to the huge 33 x 12 foot deck which offers a shaded BBQ / sitting/ dining area plus a place to lounge and take in the sun with 2 polywood lounge chairs. Enjoy the breathtaking colors of the nightly sunsets paired perfectly for dining, entertaining or relaxing.
Also included: 5 beach chairs, 5 beach badges, beach buggy for easy access walking too and from beach, hammock, double kayak, 2 paddle boards, life jackets, ping pong table, corn hole, gas grill, wifi, smart tvs in all bedrooms, living room AND garage (for you to log in and connect to all your own streaming platforms), mattress protectors on all beds, pillows and light weight quilts. You provide your own linens and towels (bring extra blankets if you think you will need). Two bedrooms offer queen size beds while the other two bedrooms offer bunk beds (twins over full) with trundle/twin mattresses. Cleaning is included in rent and provided at checkout.
Our street also has a private bay-front playground with seating located on a lot just a few homes down the street. A perfect option for early morning playtime for the kids while adults watch them and enjoy their cup of coffee or maybe after the beach in the evenings while watching the beautiful sunset colors.

Located less than 10 min walk (.4 miles) or 3 min bike ride to the beach at the Plainfield Ave entrance.
Just a 5 min walk to Lavallette's famous Colonial Bakery, Bakin Bagels, General Store, Runners Fish Market/ Restaurant and Ocean Hut Surf Shop. A couple blocks south can enjoy Summer Sweets Ice Cream Shoppe. Also in walking distance is newly opened Castaways Pub and Ohana Grill.

Immaculate, well appointed, beautiful beach decor and breathtaking bay views from inside or outside the home. Comfortable place to relax and feel away from it all, even during a mostly rainy week. Everything from kitchen appliances, bathrooms, windows, entertainment all in great condition and added value to this listing. Convenient location to beaches and dining both north and south.

We loved our stay! Ages 18 months to 65 enjoyed their stay. The house was beautiful, clean, and had amazing views! The host was very easy to work with and quick in response to any questions. Would highly recommend!

We have been traveling to the Jersey Shore for many years and have stayed in dozens of properties. Bernadette and Rob’s property was, by far, the pinnacle of all those experiences. The house was exquisite - just as described, and in the perfect location. It’s within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, mini golf, arcades, etc. There’s also so much to do even if you don’t leave the house - with direct water access you can use the paddle boards and kayaks; there’s corn hole, a ping pong table and many other games. The owners were great and so quick to respond. You cannot beat the central location of the property along with its cleanliness and beautiful features. We loved sleeping with the windows open catching the bay breeze. The name describes it all! This property is my official Jersey Shore "go-to" from now on! Looking forward to our next stay, hopefully soon! Thanks Bernadette and Rob for a wonderful stay.

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay in one of the best prime locations with easy access to one of the best beaches. House is very well maintained and it has amazing view from the deck. Hosts are super helpful and easy to communicate with. Overall wonderful experience. Hope to be back for the next summer!

I would like to thank Bernadette and Rob for allowing us to stay in their house. It was everything we expected and more. The house itself was beautiful and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was fully stocked and the kids really enjoyed having access to the kayak and taking it out onto the water. The house was very clean and is clearly well looked after. The deck is really well put together with excellent outdoor furniture and it comes with breathtaking views of the bay. We will definitely consider returning to this house in the near future. The hosts are attentive and easily accessible - Great experience. FIVE STARS!

This property was the perfect winter get-a-way at the shore. We needed a place to accommodate two families of four while still feeling spacious. The house had all the amenities for a home away from home, plus more. The bay views were beautiful. The owners were very responsive to our questions and made recommendations for eating and activities. We could not have asked for a better experience all around. We would love to return to experience this property during warmer months. The backyard and decks are amazing.

This property is ideal for a group that want to be on the Jersey Shore both in the summer and other times and my overall rating was a 9. The 4 bedrooms are located on the entry level while the kitchen, dining room, and a very comfortable gathering room are on the second level. We were pleased with everything including a laundry room. A few suggestions: We arrived after dark and were pleasantly surprised with the home. But since it is winter, it would have been helpful if the porch light was on or on a timer. I did not enjoy bringing our own sheets and making-up the over sized bunk beds. Instructions to bring towels should include bathmats. I also felt the home's description of 4 bathrooms was misleading. There are actually 2 full bathrooms (one included in the master bedroom), 1 half bath and an outdoor shower making up the 4 bathrooms. Because one bathroom was part of the primary bedroom, there was really only one community shower/tub. If the intent is to share the bathroom in the primary bedroom, the door to the hall should be moved to the bedroom. That would alleviate any confusion to the occupants of the primary bedroom and others.

Our Family flew in and drove from several different states for a wedding and mini get-together. Beautiful house and location. Great for family to relax and visit. 20 something's could do loads of activities. Lot's of conveniences: nest HVAC/heat, many smart TVs with Roku and common streaming platforms, gas grill, coded entry and lock box, music w/ speakers, two fridges, ping pong, (water toys, bike, and beach passes too cold this time of year but hey not their fault🤣 we came for a wedding). Lot's of room for many people. Quiet pleasant neighborhood. Close to shopping and restaurants. Hosts were wonderful and welcoming with easy communication and responsive to questions, with a welcome email and a info binder in the home. We will be back another year when it's warmer! 😊 Thank you!

We had a fantastic time at the house. The location is so tranquil and beautiful. Our family of 8 adults had so much fun and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and stretch out. The views from the master and the whole second floor were just beautiful. Bernadette is so lovely to communicate with and let us have an early arrival and a late check out. I highly recommend this house.

The owner Bernadette was lovely to communicate with and really made sure we enjoyed our stay with restaurant suggestions and more. We would definitely rent again! And hopefully for a longer stay. This house was very comfortable for our extended family of 10 people. The living room and adjoining kitchen were tastefully designed and the work space and cookware were perfect. The photos accurately reflect the large windows and sunny surroundings. The porch was great for BBQs and simply gazing at the beautiful water views, birds and natural marshes and the evening sunsets. The two larger bedrooms look out on the water and although I had to do some work to do while at the house, I didn't mind sitting at my desk while looking out on the water through the large windows of the bedroom. The beds were super comfortable and don't be fooled by the bunk beds - they were also very cozy according to my adult girls who slept on them. The beach was a short 8 minute walk away and there was also a boardwalk along the sand dunes. All in all it was a very peaceful stay at a lovely house with all questions quickly answered by the friendly owner, Bernadette, whenever needed.

Our family was able to enjoy this property for our nice Post-Labor Day family vacation. The house was beautiful and well maintained. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful. They even proactively sent us information about activities that were happening in the local community during our stay. My wife even said "we need to look at booking this house for a full week, for a future vacation!"

This house was the best of both worlds. The bay offers not only kayaking, paddle boarding and spectacular sunset views, but is also great for birders. It is right on the flyway for fall and spring. The monarch butterflies were everywhere in August. The beach was an easy walk and great for young kids and surfers. On the way home you pass a bagel shop and a bakery - both had milk. And the ice cream store is special. There was a great fish store as well. The house is all new with 2 1/2 baths and a completely enclosed outdoor shower. The top floor gathering place is perfectly planned with a wraparound couch and chairs facing the tv. The north side is sliding glass doors out to a large deck with chairs and chaises and a table. A great space. Behind the couch is the kitchen area with a large island with chairs around it. To the left is a large table that seats 8. The appliances include two refrigerators - a real plus - both with ice makers and fresh. water. When all seven of us were there, we found ourselves sitting around the island for happy hour while the two children watched Disney. It was the perfect place for our family get-to-gether.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Bernadette and Rob’s Lavallette home. The house was beautiful, super clean, and had stunning views of the bay. We loved the large deck for sunbathing, easy access to the bay, and all the fun water activities that were provided. Their house was stocked with everything we needed and was within walking distance to nearby restaurants, shops, and the beach. Bernadette and Rob were very accommodating to our family and we were so appreciative that the house was dog friendly! We highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay here! It was our first time to the Jersey shore and we loved it! The view from the back deck was unbeatable, we spent most of our time out there soaking it in! A short walk to the beach with a bagel shop and bakery on the way couldn’t have been better. We also enjoyed playing ping pong and hanging out on the hammock in the evenings. The house had all the things we needed and more! Bernadette responded quickly and was so helpful with everything I asked her prior to our trip. Highly recommend this property!!!

My family and I had an amazing time at this bay front property. The owners are lovely- very helpful and accommodating and had the house in perfect order when we arrived. We loved the location- easy walking to restaurants, ice cream, shops, and the beach! Highly recommend bicycles with baskets- makes getting to the beach and back super easy for quicker trips.
