Features a private outdoor hot tub for soaking under the stars and cozy fireplace for snuggling up on cold winter nights. Very comfortable for couples or small families, close to the best hiking in the East, lakes, amazing ski resorts, craft breweries, coffee shops, restaurants of every kind and sightseeing! The Rustic Bear is indeed private! It is perfect for couples or small families seeking a private spot to enjoy nature. Full kitchen, bathroom with shower, bedroom and loft bedroom, and electric fireplace. The cabin is tucked on a hill with a porch. Guests DO need to bring their own linens and towels, but these can be provided if necessary for an additional fee. Satellite TV with DVD player. High Speed Internet. Great 4G cell phone reception. Get truly unplugged and remember what it used to be like to relax. Guests may bring up to 2 dogs for a $50 pet fee. You get a key and the place is all yours! Very private. You will not see any neighbors while on the property. The housekeeper may come by every couple days to check on the hot tub to ensure it is clean and clear for your enjoyment. We communicate by email, text or phone, and every guest receives full directions, key instructions and guest packet with info about the house and area (where to shop, eat, things to do, etc.). We are always available should something come up during your stay, and our housekeeper and caretaker live nearby. The cabin is located on a well maintained (paved) road in the White Mountains. There are no neighbors in view, so this your experience will be very private. You need a car to get around, and AWD is advisable in the winter. The area, including the driveway, is quite hilly. Don't come up in the winter on bald tires! This house is very private, but close to all the White Mountains have to offer. Less than 20 minutes to Downtown Littleton, Cog Rail, Mountain Washington, several 4,000 footer hikes, Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain, Franconia Notch State Park, Flume Gorge, AMC Highland Center at Crawford Notch, and Santa's Village. And within 45 minutes of many more lovely New England towns and ski resorts that we personally love to visit whenever we stay here. It was a very cozy cute cabin. Perfect for a couple, hot tub was a great addition. Only negative was the queen bed was in the loft. Other than that it was perfect!

Absolutely loved this little cabin. It was cozy but not too small, with a huge yard and the owners were great about a flexible check out time.

This cabin is so cute and perfect for a weekend get away! My boyfriend and I came up to celebrate our 8yr anniversary and we got ENGAGED! This will forever be my favorite vacation spot now. Perfect location, the hot tub is the best after hike relaxation spot, and the yard is beautiful!

The cabin was immaculate and exactly as advertised. Location was great — near most attractions in the White Mountains. I would absolutely stay here again.

The cottage was great. Fully equipped. The hot tub was fantastic. Bring your own bedding and towels. Cable and internet cell reception all good. It is pet friendly so beware of fur. The owners were notified of this and will do detailed cleaning. I loved it!!!

The property and camp nice but the hot tub needed some work

Its a tiny cottage as shown in pics. Bathroom is one person only. TV area has space for only 3 to sit, unless others sit in a kitchen chair. The loft has queen bed on the floor, low ceiling, (cant stand up), steep ladder to climb and no electricity, so no outlets or lights. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed, a/c unit. We needed the larger bed so used downstairs bedroom as changing area. With windows open it was cool enough to sleep in loft.
The place does need some work. The awning off back porch, the railing on front porch need repair. Only 1 setting on the hottub works (but it was really nice to have the hottub after hiking all day).. the unit needs a really DEEP cleaning. It was surface cleaned. However i turned over the recliner because i could not get it to recline (it is an electric recliner that is broken so cant recline) there was so much dirt and cobwebs stuck to the underside of the chair, it was gross.
The place isnt bad and was lightly cleaned but a deep clean and some repairs are needed.
The owners are good with communication but they send messages directly to your email vs using VRBO message system. They were veey kind and loaned us bed sheets and 2 towels as we could not fit those things in our suitcase when we flew in.
Loved the privacy of the place. So quiet (other than cars, the person checking on hottub and the lawn mower who showed up), it was peaceful and a great get away.

It was nice and relaxing being away from everything for a bit, the cabin was cute and we were comfortable there. The only complaint would be the AC had a really bad smell to it, I think it may need to be replaced/cleaned. Other than that we had a great time!

After reserving our stay we were immediately approved, it is hard to find a place that will allow you to bring your big dog. Eric and Jen we’re both very responsive they even send a print out explaining everything you need to bring and the rules of the house which was great.
The cabin is located in a very small town and has a hot tub which met my requirements. I was slightly disappointed in the upkeep of the building and overall cleanliness, but it was manageable.

Came up to the area with my dog for an event. Cabin was in great shape on a beautiful private property. Hot tub was ready to go. Cabin had a grill ready for use and a nice fire pit to sit by at night. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the privacy. Some traffic noise but certainly not enough to take away from the experience
