About this cottage rental
It’s been “A Hard Days Night”.... This quaint lake front ‘Beatles’ inspired, modern BOHO styled, private vacation cottage is located in a quiet cove with a private boat dock on Norris Lake in a small town in East TN called LaFollette, about 30 miles north of Knoxville, TN. This unique cottage is within eyesight of Sugar Hollow Marina and just around the bend from Shanghai Resort! We are also located within about 15 minutes by car or boat from Deerfield Resort.
This 800sq ft cottage is a rustic cabin in the woods on a lake with stylish updates. This is our 2nd home that we have worked hard on and completed tons of new updates for others to enjoy. We also have new wooden stairs down to lake for easier access. It is approximately 50 ft of stairway from lakehouse to lake. Our home away from home consists of 1 large loft bedroom upstairs with 2 queen beds and desk area. The cottage has 2 full baths. It consists of an open floor plan with a fully stocked kitchen and living area. The bedroom has a walk out balcony upstairs overlooking the water in addition to the large deck downstairs with table and chairs, also a gas grill. Don’t miss out on the hammock below the deck in the shade overlooking the water or build a fire down by the lake. Get your tan on or go fishing on our private dock. Bring your boat and tie it to our dock or rent one from close by. Are you a golfer? Bring your golf clubs and head over to Deerfield Resort and play a round of golf over looking the water. Deerfield is about a 15 minute drive by car or boat. Check out the new Chapman Hill Winery/tasting room right before you get to Deerfield with rolling hills and a vineyard full of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc grapevines. There is also plenty of wildlife to be seen!
This peaceful cottage is perfect for couples, honeymooners, romantic get away, a girls getaway, a family of 4, boaters, fishermen, a mom retreat, and of course all Beatles fans!
This cottage means everything to us. It is in memory of my dad who passed away from cancer suddenly. Our goal is to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute and by you staying with us we are able to contribute to this great charity. A percentage of your stay is donated. We want you to make memories and enjoy this special place and trust that you treat it as if it’s your own.
We strive for a 5 star experience. If for any reason during your stay you feel that you could not give 5 stars please let us know and we would be happy to make your stay more enjoyable!
Lake season is Memorial Day through Labor Day.. water levels start to go down after Labor Day so water levels may be low come October and our lake house may or may not have water in front of it by October... enjoy the fall weather & the color changes of the trees! Water levels start to rise back up in March - April.

Our family really wnjoyed their stay in this adorable cabin. Great location with a private dock in a quiet cove.

This was the perfect setting for 4 days of pure bliss and relaxation. The house is absolutely adorable, views stunning, accessible stairs that weren’t too awful to get down to the very nice little dock. Every meal was had on the deck listening to the sounds of nature in all its glory. There were some issues with a couple outlets ceasing to work but plenty of power strips to accommodate. Maybe more than one dish towel & dishcloth for the kitchen would be nice but, overall I would 100% stay here again. This time it was myself and my bestie but looking to next summer for myself, my daughter, and my niece. If you’re looking for privacy, stunning views, and cozy accommodations, this is it! 5⭐️

My wife and I came for a long boating getaway. The house was comfortable and perfect for what we were looking for. The driveway and parking isn't ideal, doable but tight for my truck to pull in and turn around. Not a reason to avoid the property however, just something to know. The house had a great deck, we cooked out a couple of times. The morning was fantastic, we sat out on the dock and watched the bass jump all over the water as the morning got started. I paddle boarded up and down the cover and enjoyed the peaceful location. Overall a good experience that we enjoyed a great deal.
I will say the only downside were the neighbors next door. They have 2 large dogs that bark at everything. I heard them in the 6am hour as well as into the late night when the family left for dinner and left them outside on the back deck. They were nice people but not very accommodating with keeping their dogs quiet. The barking took away from the enjoyment of the cove, our personal time was constantly interrupted by the barking.

It was a very pleasant experience with a beautiful view with great access to the lake.
The neighborhood was quite and peaceful with quick acceas to Norris Dam.
Peoperty was amazing. All utensils were available in the Kitchen. The grill outside was great. We really enjoyed the lakeside dock and hammock. The beatles theme was great. Enjoyed the record player as well.
Although the Kayak sat one person, it was sturdy enough for a beginner.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. Would stay again

A Hard Day's Night is even cuter than the pictures show. It is the perfect place for a getaway! The view from every room of the cabin is beautiful with the water in view! The dock is sturdy and lovely to sit on and enjoy fishing, sunning, or reading and listening to the birds. The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this house and we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area in the future.

My wife and I stayed at A Hard Day’s Night for a few nights. It is a nice one bedroom, two full baths house/cottage right on the water. It was very clean with a lot of nice touches and plenty of outdoor deck and dock space. We had some rough weather one evening and the owner of the house checked up on us to make sure we were ok. We appreciated that. We would come back again for sure when we are back at Norris lake.

Great deck area by the house and boat dock area.
Enjoyed the firepit down by the water!
There are steps from the boat dock to house, but very typical of Norris Lake. They were well lit at night and in great condition. (steps & dock)

Exactly as described. Great communication! Perfect for our weekend visit!

This is such a charming place that reminds me of my favorite coffee shop back home! We had a nearby family event and preferred to have more space than a hotel room could offer to us with 2 kids under 2! The upstairs space had plenty of room for multiple pack n’ plays. The deck was a great large space to enjoy the view of the lake. I especially loved that there were 2 bathrooms—very convenient to have one on each level! We struggled to get the upstairs to cool off on the first night, but the host was very easy to contact and she worked hard to make sure we’d be comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to others!

Great location. Remote yet close enough to town for groceries and/or restaurants. Stayed here during a business trip so I didn’t get to enjoy the lake but I will return! The deck and dock are awesome! Interior is clean and updated with everything you’d need and more. Great communication from owners. I’ll be back!

You must experience this little slice of heaven.
Everything was great! Communication, house, lake, etc. Whoever does your cleaning needs a bonus. It was flawless right down to the extrrior garbage cans. The house was cold including the second floor loft. The beds were so comfortable. If you have never stayed in the same room but in a different bed then your husband you must try it! Kitchen had everything, grill was easy to use, We will stay again such a relaxing, fun, family trip. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
