Well kept, comfortable hotel room. Didn’t take advantage of offered amenities because we were busy exploring the North River area. On site parking a big plus for us.

I wasn't impressed with this property. The rooms were very small, bed and pillows where hard. Halls are like a maze when you first go to find your room. Controller didn't work, we did get a new one at the desk. Housekeeping walked in our room before 9am well we were sleeping. Check out was 11am. Location was ideal for our trip but did not feel the value was there.

Nice hotel in a great location.

The listed amenities were all NOT AVAILABLE!
The pool, which is indoor upstairs was closed, the gym.. which is three exercise machines..was closed
And the upper deck… which is not shaded and has no refreshments was closed
The rooms are small, brown and dark..
and lack fridges or kitchens as other VRBO’s have..
All in all … be careful booking this and make sure you know what you are not getting

Location - nearby restaurants and close to navy pier and riverwalk were good. The terrace, pool and gym were closed all 3 days we were there but has told they would be open later that day or next but that didn’t happen until the day we checked out (day 4) and one of the elevators did not work the entire time we were there. When we mentioned this to the host on the 2nd they told us to contact the property manager and were washing their hands of any responsibility. We contacted them on the 3rd day with the same response and on the 4th day when we asked for a partial refund they they reached out to the property manage and told us at 10:34 AM they would comp us a breakfast but “we were in a hurry and checked out” - check out time was 11:00 - guess should have just sat ideally around hoping for something to happen.

Booked this for my parents and they said this was the cleanest hotel they’ve ever stayed in!

I chose this property as one that was affordable in a city filled with conventions and hotel rates above $500 per night. The property was clean but extremely tired and noisy. Bed was comfortable, but the room was very small. Ok as it was just me and I was only there to sleep - was out in the city otherwise. Very nice McDonald's across the street for great coffee and a nice morning sit in a park like area. Target also very close for any last minute needs, as well as a Walgreens. A well stocked market was just two blocks down as well. Staff was nice and attentive. If you want affordable, this is your place. If you are looking for some higher end amenities, this is not your hotel.

Read the fine print. This is simply a Best Western Motel. The room was clean, the bathroom was very small and a bit outdated. We requested a fridge upon check in however they said they were out and would bring us one in the am after other guests left, after taking all our info they never did. Unfortunately, the rooftop area is closed once the pool closes. From the pictures it looked as if this is open to guests to relax and enjoy a view of the city a bit. No such luck. There is a Mcdonalds across the street which was convenient and cheap. You must try Portillos, they have awesome food. We did walk to the Navy Pier and there were lots of cool shops and stops along the way. Wear comfy shoes! I hate leaving a mediocre review, but that is ultimately how we felt in real life vs the listing. It isn't bad if that is what you are expecting I suppose!

Getting checked in was easy enough. Being first time visitors to Chicago, we where not sure on all the basics. The first morning we walked in the lobby and Wallace Pope was working shutting down juice bar for the day and while continuing to work he pulled us right in asking us what the plan was. When we told him what all the places we wanted to go and things we wanted do, he directed us to the places, gave us a map and told us how to get passes for transportation and what lines on the subway to avoid riding to late. He not only went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay at the hotel, but he also genuinely cared for safety!

Property is definitely dated but kept clean. Some musty smells (especially in hallway/elevators) but room was cleaner than I’ve experienced in some ‘higher-end’ hotels.
Air conditioning unit was very loud but ultimately we found it helped cancel out the city noise at night.
Rooftop patio is a hidden gem- great place to relax with a great view. Staff (especially Wallace the bellhop) was super friendly and helpful. Location is good- very close to tons of restuarants, etc.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The concierge was very helpful with parking and with understanding how to navigate to our venue. Our room was very clean and very spacious, especially the bathroom. Loved the stay will definitely return! :)

My daughter and I stayed here to attend a concert in Chicago. The staff were all super friendly and the room was very clean. It was the perfect location to talk or Uber to nearby attractions.

Room was nice, but very noisy from traffic outside and ice machine down the hall. Room service food, dinner and breakfast, were aweful. Highy suggest eating somewhere else! They like to over cook there food!

We visited for a long weekend. The location was great, easy access to anything you wanted to do. Walking distance to most things and a short uber trip to the rest. great place!

The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and looked just like the pictures. They provided a mini fridge upon request, which was nice since there was no kitchenette or anything in the room.
The only two negatives I saw about the room were 1) the chromecast for the television did not work, so you had to rely on cable, and 2) the wifi signal in the room was incredibly weak my entire trip.

The location of this property is great! Anything you need is walking distance and felt safe! I love that it had parking as well! The hotel bar was decent and the pool was clean as well! There’s even a little fitness center. Plenty of people with kids as well if you have the family. Rooms are just basic rooms, only downfall was no little fridge in the room but we made do with the ice bucket.

We booked on VRBO to find a reasonable and clean place to stay for our weekend in Chicago. Property was clean and room was perfect for what we needed. Great location and all was good.

We were going to Chicago for a concert. The concert got canceled and we tried to change our dates for a time in January when the unit was available. When the owner finally got back to us, he/she said no. We were not asking for a refund. We were asking to switch dates for an available time.

Best cost effective way to stay in the city. VERY clean, comfortable bed, & nice staff. Worth every single penny + completely amazing deal for the price.

I was expecting a condo, not a Best Western Hotel. I expected a kitchenette or more. Description needs updating with details.

was the helpful and wonderful staff. Wallace the parking lot attendant was particularly friendly and offered us ideas of places to visit. As the property seemed to have seen its day I'd stay there again because of Wallace.

This was a great location to the downtown area. The room was great for 2 people. Ask front desk for a mini fridge and they will bring one to the room for you.

Nice, well kept Best Western in a great neighborhood, lot's of dining options, bars, Target near, walk to Michigan Ave

This was a good location for a reasonable price. The rooftop pool was a great feature on a hot day and the staff were helpful with accommodating a mini fridge and an early check in and late checkout!

The room was smaller than we had expected, and it was noisy from other visitors. Also housekeeping knocked on the door and tried to enter at 8-9 in the morning, even on days we weren't checking out. Location is fantastic, though, very walkable!

Great location for us. Walked to many restaurants or used the L for baseball game and museum outings. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful

We drove up for concert in the city and needed a place for the night. Quick, easy, clean, and right where we needed to be located.

Everything was well. Trying to locate the ice and vending machines were complicated. Didn't really understand the different buildings/elevators, so we just gave up. Also, during our stay, all of the amenities except the bar/restaurant were closed for renovation. I was looking forward to using the gym and the pool but couldn't.

The area was great and the staff was fantastic

Nothing spectacular. A view of a parking garage, loud and heat was erratic. Shower was inconsistent and the only upside was the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft.

Great room, location, etc., but…the party upstairs was a real party both Friday and Saturday nights into the wee-wee hours. Out of the hosts control, I know.

This was a great location for the price. Hotel does its job. Host was absolutely amazing and the staff at the hotel was amazing!!
Highly recommend

This property was what we expected, given the low price. The check in process went smoothly - all of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The room size was appropriate for price and location. Parking was a steal. It's conveniently located near public transportation. I'd recommend it for budget-conscious consumers who know to expect what they pay for.
