There was plenty of room for us to store our stuff and then still enjoy hanging out! The house is in a nice neighborhood close to the beach and a short uber drive to many hang outs - marina, shops, bars, and of course wineries! Spacious kitchen and open to the living room so you could be prepping food while still being part of the conversation!

The adult girls in our family decided to get together for a weekend. There were 13 of us. This house was perfect! Three of the bunk beds upstairs have a double bed on the bottom. The seating downstairs was comfortable. There were about 8 beach chairs and a wagon that we were able to use when going to the beach. The fire pit was a perfect way to spend the evening. If we ever do another girls’ trip to Michigan City, we will seek this house again.

Convenient and spacious

This is our second year staying for a full week at this property. This house is the perfect size for our family, and it is a walkable distance to the lake. We like that it is supplied with several beach chairs and a wagon. Several of the repairs that we suggested last year had been completed. However, the toilet in the lower bathroom is still unstable; it rocks. Also, the towel bar in that bathroom fell down on our first day; it was barely hanging in the wall. Last year, supplies were well furnished. This year, we ran out of toilet paper on day four, dishwasher pods on day 6, trash bags on day 6, and there was no firewood. This was a bit disappointing. Overall, however, our entire family really enjoyed vacationing in this home. Thank you!

We were very happy with our stay at the house. It was a great location.

The house had great space for all 5 of us to have our own areas and still come together to celebrate. Very comfortable beds, clean throughout and the yard was great. Only a short walk to the beach and close to many other amenities. Soooo much better than a hotel while still paying about the same cost for our time. We would definitely consider booking again for our next trip!

We traveled with two other families. Was very easy to check in and lots of room for the kids with the bunk beds.

Plenty of room for the family. We liked the house.

House was big enough for entire family to stay!
My parents are not able to climb stairs and this house met their needs on one level!
Outdoor area was great for grilling/playing yard games!

Overall, it was a very nice experience. We loved how much room we all had. The kids loved staying in the bunk room. The stairs were a little tricky but not bad. The area outside for a bonfire was awesome along with the wagon and beach chairs! We enjoyed our walk to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay, our group consisted of aunts and uncles and a set of grandparents and seven cousins. The upstairs Loft room with bunk beds comfortably had the seven kids ages 3 to 12, and they enjoyed having a space to hang out and play and be together. Outdoor fire pit was very nice, kitchen well stocked for meals at home for big groups, short walk to Beach. Todd was a great and responsive host with good communication. Highly recommend!

Needs better lighting.
Suggest table lamps or even desktop type as the simplest solution. Of course they may be "too portable.

This property was as described in the listing. We were sent the door access code, check-in directions, and check-out directions a few days before check-in. It was about a 4-block walk to the beach, which saved our vehicles from getting full of sand. They even provided some beach chairs and a wagon. There were beds for 17 people. There was a baby gate, playpen, and a high chair. There was seating for 22. The kitchen had all the necessities for cooking, including nice appliances. The chairs and firepit in the side yard were nice in the evenings. Having only two bathrooms was somewhat difficult, but we made it work. Also, we had some problems with the electric in the kitchen. The owner responded quickly to our messages and worked to get it corrected. Overall, our large family had a wonderful vacation together!

The property is as it looks in the pictures. Check-in was a breeze. Conversations with Todd were hit and miss. A couple times it took awhile to respond and upon responding he did not always address the issue.
Positives:
So much room
So many beds and linens for beds
Nice yard and fire pit
Close to the beach
Kitchen has most of your needs to cook meals at home. Some pieces are old and the non-stick is long gone.
Neighborhood was quiet. Older neighborhood and homes. Seems like houses are being renovated.
Bathroom upstairs and down-both with a shower
Washer and dryer came in handy as we had to wash towels everyday since there was 16 of us!
Easily parked 5 cars.
Insta-cart delivered ALDIs.
Negatives:
First night the ceiling in the back dining area leaked.
The lights and fans are a crap shoot. Sometimes they come on and sometimes not. There was a system to getting lights on. Guests might benefit from a guide or labels. Todd told me to just turn on and off they will come on.
Both bathrooms have flooded. The floors show definite wear and lift from water damage.
The shower upstairs should have the floor repaired. It has small tiles that sink when you step on them poking your feet with sharp edges.
Some of the faucets are leaking at the base.
There were lots of ants in the kitchen
Trash had not been taken out by previous guest and was very full. It had maggots.
The downstairs bathroom door sticks bad. It is very hard to get out.

The property was perfect for all of my family, children, and grand children. Plenty of room for all of us.
close enough to the beach, the park, and the zoo to walk. We fully enjoyed our time there.

This property is exactly what it looks like in the photos. It was so easy to check in and a great location, too.

The kitchen and living area was more than big enough for the 12 of us. Sleeping arrangements worked out well with 6 older adults downstairs and the remainder up stairs in bunks. Parking was great, enough for 6 cars.

We enjoyed staying. The bed rooms are small but the kitchen and living room is a big open area for entertaining. The kitchen was nicely stocked. The bed room with all the bunch beds was great for all the kids! The stair case to get up was tight and we had to watch the little kids closely on it. But over all it was nice.

Our group of five stayed in this house September 25-27, 2022. Easy to find location. The house was huge - plenty of room and we could have easily tripled our numbers. The weather was not great during our stay so we decided to just stay in. This was a perfect place for that. Large kitchen, 2 large eating areas, comfy couches. The outdoor area was very nice - but the wind and rain kept us from using the fire pit area. Great place - would definitely stay again.

The house was open and simply decorated - with many spaces for us to gather as a group (two dining room tables, a large pit couch, and so much outdoor seating! We each got to have our own bed. The kitchen was nicely appointed. It was a nice walk to the beach with friendly neighbors along the way.

Plenty of room for my family. Great neighborhood close to activities. Would definitely atay again.

Had a family gathering with 8 adults and 6 children. We had a great time at the house and it was very near the beach which we enjoyed Saturday afternoon. The spiral staircase was a fun feature for the kids but it was harder (not possible) for less mobile people to go up and down. Combined with only one bathroom on the ground floor made for a bathroom wait at just about any time. Overall a nice property as advertised.

The house was perfect! A group of friends came to Michigan City to spend some time together and everything was wonderful. It was super clean, easy to check in, and plenty of space of us all to sleep and hang out. Would 10/10 recommend!!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood and near the park with great swimming. House was plenty large for two families. Spiral staircase not the best for toddlers, but we blocked it off. Great house!

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The side yard was great for bonfires and roasting s’mores. We cooked every night in the well-stocked kitchen. The beach was a 10 minute walk. Great place!

A pleasant neighborhood to walk through to get to the beach public access paths. Plenty of space, nice kitchen.

Great property! Very clean and nicely updated. Host was very prompt in helping with our needs.
We had a great time! The property was very clean and nicely updated. The Host was easy to contact and responded quickly. There was more than enough space for everyone.

Cute lake house feel
Had a girls trip here. Very impressed!
Slightly difficult getting up & down the spiral staircase as we had 12 adults & with 3 bedrooms downstairs, most girls had to go up and down.
Location is great! The walk to the beach isn’t bad at all & we made friends with neighbors walking there. The beach is beautiful!
(FYI: no Uber drivers in the area, had to use party busses or drive ourselves)

Beautiful sunsets
Our group traveled as four separate families, eight adults and 8 children ranging from 3 to 9 years old. The space itself was plenty for our group. One concern while we were there was that the spiral staircase going to the upstairs was challenging to carry luggage up and down, was unsafe for our young three-year-old children, and might be difficult to navigate if somebody is not able-bodied. The kitchen was beautifully newly remodeled with all cooking and dishware needs. Our little group went to the beach almost every day, it was within walking distance to get to the Louisiana Street beach access. Our young kids had such a great time playing in the sand and enjoying the waves that came on a busy day . Local blueberry picking was a hit. Michigan city zoo was also fun. The property itself but our needs, and we felt safe in the area

Good stay except
Second shower wasn’t working. We were informed at check in We booked the place because of two full bathrooms so we wouldn’t be fighting over showers. And the back patio was hard to accesses because of older door and we didn’t want to force the door. Over all it was a good stay. Everything else was provided as stated The location was within driving distance to sight see and visit beaches.

Incredible location, great size for a family
We were the first guests at this property, so some of the kinks needed to be worked out (mainly with plumbing).
The owner's customer service was fantastic. As some of the kinks were being immediately addressed, he made himself available and provided us with alternatives to make our stay the best it could be.
It takes 9 minutes from door-to-water's edge. Access to the beach is the best on Lake Michigan (if you've ever carried a cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. up and across sand, you know what I mean).
The house is a great size, with nearly everything you need for a multi-day trip. The kitchen is modern and big, living room is big, and there are plenty of rooms and beds! The only items really needed were an iron and ironing board. If I'm being picky, some firewood would have been an extra bonus for the fire pit outside.
The town is aspiring to be more touristy, but I prefer a more "real" town anyway. There is more than enough shopping, restaurants, and ice cream. We didn't go to the zoo, but will next time.
I gave the cleaning crew 4 - 5 stars. Could have been 3. We had brand new towels and linens, but they hadn't been washed yet. And the counters had to be cleaned when we arrived.
Overall, the property was exactly what we needed for a family trip. We will certainly be back again! (and "thank you, Todd")
