The Property was great and as is described in the pictures and descriptions!

We had a VERY enjoyable time here for our annual family vacation (14 of us!). An unanticipated fun moment was when we returned to the property to find a black bear standing tall in the driveway! Of course, we fairly quickly went our own ways. :) Downsides (1) the listing included "Hiking Trails, Creek" but we never found these on the property, and (2) the kitchen was not stocked well; we had to purchase some pots and pans to prepare some of our meals. Even so, it was a good stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We had 14 people ages 5 - 78. There was plenty of space and bedrooms for all of us. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The property is very private and secluded; however, it’s only 15 minutes from town with a Walmart and the Wi-Fi worked great. Shawn was quick to respond to all of our questions, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the CABINS was okay. The place looks beautiful from the outside, but we came across a few problems from the inside. Our first problem when we walked into the house was seeing cobwebs everywhere and dirty floors. When we called to express all our concerns, they offered to send a cleaning team that same day. However, nothing was cleaned besides sweeping the floors in the kitchen and taking out trash.
We found it weird that they brought small children the day they came to” clean “the house. Our second concern was that some of the bedding was stained, and a few broken things, which they knew about but didn't do anything about. Our third concern was very few kitchen utensils/ appliances and very few clean items. Where we had to go to the store to buy a broom ourselves. The final problem was that the AC unit stopped working, and they didn't come out to fix it, so the last few days of our stay were hot and uncomfortable.

Having access to hiking trails on the property was a huge benefit for those of us in the group that were big hikers. We still went to the national park but having access to get out there in the woods and be around the beautiful nature was an amazing benefit.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a great place for a large family. We had plenty of room for everyone. The area is great for hiking. The grandkids enjoyed hiking down to the creek. We loved the bonfire pit area as well as the hot tub. The carriage house was a nice place for us the parents to have separate time away from kids and grandkids but then it was great for everyone to play pool.

We Had 11 people in our party and it fit us perfectly. The house is all the way up on a mountain so it is a very steep drive to get to the house. Once you’re up there the views was great. The cleanliness of the house was okay. The couch had dirt spots on it. The pillows were dirty . Please reconsider if you have older people in your party! It’s 3 levels! The second level is fine but they wouldn’t be able to go up the stairs or down because it is very dangerous. They’re the windy steps with very little room. The sheets upstairs had mold on them. We had a few other issues that needed an immediate fix and we called Aunt Bugs and they came out immediately. Which is awesome!

The pictures for the Hiker's Dream are beautiful to look at and the view is great............once you get up to the cabin. My family is from a coastal area of the country and would have appreciated a heads up on the driveway to this house. The driveway is very steep with ruts. It needs attention. If you have this house booked, make sure to drive a 4x4 truck and expect a bumpy ride.
Another visitor posted about the layout of the house. I agree that this house is not set up for a group larger than 6 people. The common areas are not large enough for more than 6 people. It's all about heads and beds in a rental but the common areas also needs to accommodate the group.
Another post mentioned that the dryer had been replaced in March. The dryer still does not work. I put a single damp washcloth in the dryer and ran a complete cycle and the washcloth was still damp.
The ice maker does not work properly - we bought bags of ice.
Our party read the comment about the kitchen not being well stocked and brought our own kitchen items we would need. Very glad we did.
This house has some good qualities - the beds, firepit and hot tub were enjoyed by our family. Our intention is only to draw attention to maintenance that needs to happen for future guests.

This property was perfect for our odd sized group. The ad is unclear as to the exact layout of the cabin so I had to do some homework in order to feel comfortable going ahead with the rental. The top floor has a single room with a queen bed attached to a half bath. Down a narrow circular staircase on the main level is a bedroom with a king bed, a small room with a single set of bunk beds (twin sized), a full bath, a kitchen, a living room, and a medium sized room with a pull out sofa bed. Down the staircase again on the bottom floor are two large bedrooms each with king beds, a large shared bathroom, and another small bedroom with a single set of bunk beds (twin over full). The carriage house, across the yard, has a single large bedroom with a king bed, and a “chair and a half” with ottoman and full bath. The carriage house has the pool table, and exercise equipment. The views from the balconies and hot tub and fire pit areas are stunning. The only complaint, and I say this delicately, is the cleaning crew hired by the management may not reflect as well on them as they might like. Most of the cabin was very very nice. The check-in process works fine, but they will not give you an address to put in your GPS until the cleaning crew is through. This is fine unless it’s getting onto 4:30 and you have no idea where you’re supposed to go. Still, the management was very accommodating with this minor inconvenience and helped us work it out. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

I feel the need to point out some shortcomings of the property (coming from someone who travels frequently and stays in approximately 4-6 VRBO rentals per year):
1. The kitchen was not adequately stocked for a house that sleeps 15-16 people. There was one small baking sheet and the Teflon was peeling off so bad that we couldn’t use it. The fry pans were disgusting (dirty on arrival) and there wasn’t one we could use to cook with, as the Teflon was literally flaking off…we had to go out and buy a fry pan just to cook with.
2. The gas grill doesn’t work properly and is missing knobs.
3. The dryer does not dry clothing. It took 3 hours to dry all of our loads…and we purposely washed small loads. The washing machine is great!
4. The faucet in the kitchen is loose at the base and takes a lot of finesse just to stop the water from running.
5. The entire property could use some trimming…not to mention there was trash scattered around the property…empty cans, bottles, wrappers, etc.
6. The driveway is in need of some major re-grading, including the end of the paved driveway, which bottomed out our vehicles each time we pulled out…and we drove minivans and SUV’s (not small cars).
7. Some of the comforters on the beds were visibly soiled…
This “multimillion dollar home” was over sold and under delivered.
I reached out to the management company with my concerns and no response after 1 week.

House and carriage house were perfect for our family of 11. Very comfortable and had most everything we needed. Driveway is steep and bumpy but the view from the house and decks are worth it. There is a spiral staircase to go between floors from inside (can use regular staircases on deck of house as well) - if you have small children, will want to block off the spiral staircase for safety (we used an arm chair). Yard is beautiful and the property is large and private. Location is close to everything we wanted to see.

We had a great time at the home. My only concern was the spiral staircase’s. They are very dangerous for toddlers and young kids. I suggest providing a gate to block them or telling people in your ad to bring one. We made a makeshift one with what we had. Also dryer doesn’t work. We washed towels and had to run dryer 5 times. I don’t know if they ever dryed or not. We gave up. I also think there is something wrong with the stove. The lights are blinking and going crazy on it. You may need to check it out. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

This home is what we were looking for. It was away from the city and was very quiet. The driveway seemed like you were driving up a mountain but once we arrived we were pleased. The home had lots of room and was just like the online photos. The beds were a little firm for our liking but the home was very nice. I would say that if you are planning a few days there to stock up before you get there because there is not much around. There was also slow internet but we went there to get away so that was not a big deal. Overall we had a great time there.

Eleven family members ranging from age 5 to 75 enjoyed our stay at this location. The view, especially from the hot tub, was mesmerizing. The managers were quite responsive to our needs.
The property is remote, and folks with physical challenges should avoid the location. That should be made more aware in the promotional material. Also, there are some minor amenities missing that I would be happy to discuss with the property managers.
All in all, we would be more than happy to return.

Our family really enjoyed the cabin. It was spacious. It is however at least a 30 to 45 minute drive into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We were aware of this. I have seen cleaner cabins in the past. But it was definitely not a dealbreaker. There could have been a few more amenities in the kitchen. We loved the outdoor area with the trails. Overall our friends and family enjoyed our time of the cabin.
