This property is obviously a house that the owner neglects and just wants to get a paycheck from while doing nothing.
The biggest issue was that the trash was overflowing the bin outside and piled up on the ground in the side yard. It’s clear that no one has taken the bin out to the curb for pick up in months. We saw mice in the trash pile and obviously with 100+ degree temperatures outside it made the whole backyard smell horrible.
I brought this to the attention of the property manager and they said they have escalated it to the city government. Huh? No, someone just needs to take it to the curb on trash day. They need a chore chart.
Many other issues with the house included a non functional dishwasher and no dish soap to hand wash dishes. Three forks in the silverware drawer for a house that supposedly hosts six. Half an inch of liquid hand soap in the bathrooms. That colorful rug you see in the photos is disgustingly dirty, as are the upholstered dining chairs. No detergent available for the clothes washing machine. A fallen dead tree takes up most of the back yard (although you can’t spend time outside anyway because of the trash stench).
The owner and property manager have clearly not had eyes on this house in a long time. It’s disgusting and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Very easy renting and great communication when needed.

After a terrible experience at a DIFFERENT property, VRBO customer service found this property for us. I was thankful to get out of our other situation so I accepted without hesitation as the pictures looked bright and refreshing.
On arrival, the property was nice enough, easy check in and clear instructions, decently stocked with necessities. Beds were comfortable and rooms overall inviting.
The rugs looked dirtier than in the photos, so a carpet cleaner is needed. We noticed an odor in the main bedroom as if an animal had had an accident.
The biggest shock was in the Master shower. As we checked out in the evening after a disaster at another property, we just wanted to shower and get in bed. When I climbed into the shower, there was a huge window with no coverings. Typically these windows are frosted so I assumed this was the case and all the ladies showered as needed. Imagine our surprise the next morning as we were putting our shampoos in the shower when we noticed the window to be UNFROSTED and in clear view of the neighbor's patio next door. (He even gave us a wave from his porch when he saw us). I was mortified, so that took us down to 1 shower for the remainder of our stay.
Overall, I think some attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and the perspective of single women traveling would be in order. I was thankful the owner could accommodate us on short notice, but would not book again until these concerns were addressed.
