Booked home specifically for the pool having 9 young adults for a family ski vacation. Weeks prior to our stay Management company AdvantStay notified me pool would not be working. They offered no refund so I replied that it was the only reason we booked the house so then they gave me 3% refund which I didn't feel that was an appropriate amount but felt backed into a corner so close to our stay w/13 people. Day before our stay notified me one of the dishwasher was broken and they would not have time to fix it before we arrived. Once we arrived the amount of broken items was endless!!! Microwave out of order, numerous windows broken, cracked, could not be opened, numerous outlets did not work, recliner chairs did not work, Kitchen Fume extractor broken, pull out couch broken, home theater system display only no sound, many cabinet doors almost falling off or very hard to even open. They even had labels printed on several thing "OUT OF ORDER" so clearly its common practice. I emailed them our 2nd day to let them know of all the items broken and requested an additional refund and they told me no contract says no refunds on broken items. i had 10 other houses with all the same amenities except the pool and we all opted to pay the extra for it! I contacted the owner twice to let him know about my dealings with his management company and have yet to receive any response. Have never complained about a VRBO in all my years booking but this was terrible!

This is a beautiful house and with a beautiful view which we have enjoyed and the best part of this eatate. 3 of the bedrooms are very small but was okay.
HOWEVER, We booked through VRBO and have been unable to get any feed back or answers as to why? The host will never prove answers to any questions ! The host refers me to Avantstay for all answers which leaves us confused & with so many questions (why not VER. When booking our stay at this estate we booked it for ALL THE AMENITIES we were told it had. We were not told of all the things that were not available unfairly until hours before our arrival. Only told of a few things which is still unfair. We had many houses we could have picked from months in advance and when arriving early we tried to permission from the host to check in but he would not answer in a timely manner nor would verbo! Left us out in the cold! This is not a fair way to do business! After we finally got in the house after check in time we could only could get two of our three vehicles in the garage because of all the stuff along the walls. Along with the Sauna and pool out of order. We noticed that the 2nd hot tub was not even full of water, and one oven was out of order. A day after setting in when trying to play regular pool we couldn’t because pool balls were missing!
We also reported a mouse in the pool area that was never removed. The day we left the hot tub guy showed up to fix (wireup) the hot tub!

This is more than a house. This was our first VRBO stay and it exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful and the location is exceptional. Our family of 11 felt that everyone had their own space yet it was cozy with a great family area. From the indoor swimming pool, spa and steam room to a cozy fire while it snowed outside, it was a beautiful family vacation home. Ian (the Host) is exceptionally responsive and has afforded the home with most everything needed including firewood.
We all agreed that this was one of the best vacations we've shared and in large part to the beautiful home.

We chose the Topaz Estate for a large family reunion because it could accommodate all of us and had several amenities. We were not disappointed. The property was large and comfortable and the views were outstanding. Ian Tan was an incredible host, replying promptly to any questions or resolving any issues I had. That said, I feel like there are certain things that need to be addressed. The day before our arrival I was informed that the pool had developed a leak and was drained. This was a major disappointment as we had children who were very much looking forward to using it. When I asked Ian about refunding a portion of our payment due to the inoperative pool he didn’t hesitate and immediately issued a credit. Many of the issues we experienced have been noted in previous reviews. Dirty windows, soiled carpet and bathroom rugs, one of the two ice makers was inoperative (replaced with a small countertop unit), used coffee filter left in the coffee maker, and dirty BBQ grills.
Several light bulbs were inoperative in two of the bathrooms, and one of the garage door openers didn’t work properly. Also, the outdoor hot tub cover is broken and waterlogged and consequently, heavy and hard to remove. It had bugs and debris in it.
All that said, with a little TLC all these items could easily be rectified and, overall, we still enjoyed our time at the Topaz Estate.

Our stay July 2023 ended up being wonderful. It did start bumpy & disappointing. When we arrived on Sat, we found many instances of not thorough cleaning we expected for the size and price of this rental. The kitchen counters were not clean, coffee maker had a molded filter left in it, & there were Goldfish crackers under the coffee table & 3 toilets not flushed (yuck) & the floors in the kitchen, eating areas & pantry were not swept and 1 icemaker was not working. The floor of the gym was filthy. I texted the owner and let him know these were issues we had upon our arrival and he insisted on sending a cleaning crew Sun from 9 til 2 (should have been done that Sat am). I said this would not work for our family & he insisted on sending 2 people to clean the problems I had addressed. They arrived at 9 & cleaned these things. We purchased a coffee maker to use though. Five of the bedrooms pictured were large & true to size, however the 3 bdrms not shown were small yet had the bed size correct. One of the small bdrms needs new linens, they are stained and gross. We brought some linens so the other ones were not used, and 1 extra mattress pad in a drawer in a small bdrm had a bad stain on it and needs replacing. The handle to the sauna needs repair. The house is lovely and spacious & the views amazing! We really enjoyed our stay after these HUGE issues of cleanliness were addressed, & to his credit, the owner was very accessible. Address these cleaning issues for future renters.

We enjoyed the house. Great location and views. The heated floors were a plus. And the pool and hot tubs were a big hit with the yunger generations.

Property and location was excellent Some small issues and owner was extremely responsive. Would be helpful had there been some snow toys. A few sleds and area maps of recreation. Definitely bring your family.

Our Family very much enjoyed the property and gave us plenty of room to hangout and enjoy our time. The property has everything as described and is fit for larger groups while relaxing and enjoying their time in the area. We would recommend the facility. The lap pool was great; weight room was used daily and steam room and shower was a hit for everyone. Relaxing in the large jacuzzi was a welcome way to begin or end the day with family. Manger/Owner was very nice and quick to respond.
A couple of areas that were disappointing.
We asked multiple times and confirmed multiple times, for early arrival as many were flying into Denver and meeting up to go to House. Having 4 grandchildren in tow was the main reason. (naps needed, early morning wake-ups, sitting still and flights ++stress all around) We landed around 8:30 am. We would need to pick up luggage, rental van and grab a bite to eat prior arriving. We asked for an 11:00 admission. Owner agreed and said no problems. We were running behind the 11:00 arrival time and kids were becoming very restless. We get a call at 11:00 saying not available until 3. My wife stated that that does not work and we will be on site by noon. We would put kids down for a nap and we would stay out of cleaners way until unit was ready.
The house is very nice but not clean. cobwebs everywhere, cobwebs hanging from ceiling above stove. Was not vacuumed or dusted. Very nice chandeliers but filthy dirty. Beautiful indoor waterfall. Would have been really nice if it was running!! View was awesome but windows had a bad buildup of crud and film, which made the incredible view, blurred. Instead of the mountains feeling like they were in your face, it was a little disappointing. It could have been inc.
2-Dishwashers one was full but dishes were clean, other dishwasher had dirty dishes. 2 fireplaces but no wood to burn other than 5 sticks outside. enough for approx 1 hour of fire. Owner did deliver some wood quickly after notified, but not nearly enough for a 5 day stay. We went out and purchased more. Some bathrooms did not have towels.
Again it is everything they describe, and view is great. If the prep and care of facility would have been at average or above, I would happily give it 5starish rating. We stayed over Thanksgiving and paid a very high premium rate and were disappointed. It felt more like a ski in/out house without the ski in/ski out option (somewhat worn due to use)
Again owner was very pleasant, very nice place!

This was a great place for us to host a group of nonprofit leaders from Denver. Lots of room for folks to have their own bedrooms, nice amenities, beautiful views, and a great shared space for us to get lots of work done! Thanks!
