The bedrooms consist of a double, and a second-floor twin, along with a shower room, and a ground-floor bathroom. Outside there is a rear garden, and off-road parking. Within 0.1 miles you will find a shop and a pub, and please note that no pets are welcomed and that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Pine Cottage is a charming property for a group break to Cumbria, near the Lake District. Note: The staircase up to the third-floor is very steep.

This is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England, set in the green Eden Valley and steeped in history. It was previously the county town of Westmorland. Appleby is set between the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales, allowing visitors to take advantage of the contrasting landscapes of these two National Parks, as well as various walking and cycling options and the town's superb leisure complex. Appleby boasts a great assortment of quality independent businesses, cafes, and delicatessens that sell locally created food and crafts. Boroughgate, a charming thoroughfare with several notable old buildings, runs through the centre of the town and connects the well-preserved Norman Castle with the beautiful mediaeval Church of St. Lawrence. Appleby is a significant stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, one of Britain's most beautiful railway rides, and many ancient steam trains still run along this line and over the historic and awe-inspiring Ribblehead viaduct. This is a great holiday location, with the pleasant Ullswater and the beautiful Lake District both within close reach.
