Thoughtfully stocked. Lauren was super helpful and kept in touch with us throughout our trip.
The vehicle was tired. At one point we had a tyre caption on the dashboard. We took the vehicle to the garage and checked the tyres but had to keep an eye on it.

Sean, CeCe, and Lauren were fabulous in the midst of a catastrophe! They were so accommodating in a serious time of need. We were sleeping in our rented car during the Maui fires, they came to the rescue with the very definition of Aloha!
Nothing!!!

Well equipped car, everything you need!

Pretty much everything you see in the other reviews is true, there's quite a lot of accessories and features available, clean automobile, good customer service, clear cut instructions, etc. It all looks great and we were very excited. But there's more, keep reading!
What made this company stand out for us was the attitude and service of the owner(not sure if he's the owner?) - Sean . First of all he dealt with tons of questions I had before the trip very politely and supportively, well other business owners and employees might had started to be irritable and or rude by then. So I really appreciated that that professionality. But.. there's still more!
When we first got to the island around 5:00 p.m. and then had our vehicle by 7:00 p.m., we ended up being stuck in a really bad traffic jam in front of Camp Olowulu off Hwy 30 where we were supposed to be staying our first night. We called non-emergency police to find out that this was not just any old traffic jam but we were being blocked out of our Campground because of a fire!
So then we pulled out of the line after almost an hour of this, which was not moving at all, started going the other way and were just roaming around trying to find a place to stay on the island while reading things online saying that Hawaii is extremely strict about just finding any old place to car camp that is not a formal paid- for spot. We were basically homeless in Maui on the first night! Of course we were really stressed out!
We ended up trying to get settled into a Safeway parking lot and asking the manager if it would be okay. However there was a lot of rowdy behavior in the parking lot making us nervous. It looks like some SUV that kept circulating around and around and stopping to talk to someone with bad language being used, looking like something akin to a drug deal going bad or something? Who knows. This is certainly not how we expected to spend our first night of our first ever stay in Maui!!
I consider myself a super critical and analytical person when I want to be, and I seriously can't think of anything else to say that would be negative that would be worth to say.

They really pack all you need! Including cutlery, game of cards, batteries for the gear and fuel for the portable stove!!!
The SUV was comfortable and in good shape!
The adventure map was very useful to locate the different activity spots!

Love how easy everything was including the equipment provided.
Only thing that didn’t work was the headlamp… I tried all the batteries

had everything we needed; having 4 wheel drive was a bonus as well

This is such a FREE way to experience Maui. You can easily visit the more busy locations, but stay the night on the most beautiful places with green, birds, seaviews and more natural beauty. And on top of that the service by the 'hosts' was exceptional: endless good advising, approachable, supportive, a big 10!!!
all was good

Great camping gear, everything we needed. Loved that the tent and sleeping bags were backpacking gear! Highly recommend for Haleakala backpacking trip! Sean was so helpful and friendly- he gave great camping site recommendations that we couldn't find online.
Would have been helpful to know the year of the car beforehand.

The car was greatly equipped with everything you will need for a smooth adventure on the island. The communication and check in was super easy and the drop off was equally smooth.
The car even has a USB plug to charge your device.
The car is a little old - don't expect a GPS or Android Auto, and the steering wheel can be a little rough, but other than that it is a great car!

the car had absolutely everything I needed. all I needed to get was shampoo, conditioner & suncream but everything else was taken care of!! The car was squeaky clean & full to the top with petrol!! Sean’s communication was superb. he made me feel sooooooo comfortable solo travelling & gave me the longest list of recommendations & back up plans. everywhere I went was on this to do list and I wouldn’t have changed any of it!!! THANK YOU ♥️
I feel like for $680 the petrol could have been included. An additional expense that’s expensive was a rough way to end the trip. I also thought that Epic Maui had land we could camp on and we’d get resources of other campsites if we didn’t want to stay there but maybe my confusion? The car and the camping gear was perfection though ♥️♥️♥️
