The Westcourt B&B is located at the outskirts of Fort William, within 10 min walk from the pier and the touristic center. It is conveniently accessible by car and has parking. The owner Charles is a pedantic and didactic person, very meticulous about details. The place it decorated on a vintage side, very clean. Our room had a beautiful lake view. The breakfast was beyond regular, e.g. included Kiwi fruits and eggs with salmon.
The cost was slightly above typical, but in line with the high standards of the place and the high season.

Not much, to be honest. There were 2 hosts here, Katarina and Charles. Katarina was nice, but sadly couldn't make up for Charles.
We felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time. On day one we had the honeymoon suite, with spa. We wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi, but while we were in there, Charles knocked on our door several times. Eventually it turned out he wanted to introduce himself and try to sell us the room for more nights (because we had a cheaper room for the following days). Not easy to relax like that.
Since we had been hiking and camping for a week beforehand, in the rain, all our stuff was wet. When I asked if they had laundry facilities they referred us to laundromats for which we'd have to take a taxi to reach. We just wanted to dry things, so we spread our stuff over the room. When we came back in the evening, Charles met us in the hallway, as if he was waiting for us, to tell us that this was "unacceptable" and we "should be thrown out". When we discussed a bit and said that we did not cause any damage to the room whatsoever, nor did we bother any other guests in the slightest, he went to make a completely inappropriate remark about our lifestyles saying "I don't understand how you can live like this". When we tried to say that we don't need our room cleaned while we stay there, they said that it wasn't an option, which made us feel like we could not ask for privacy. When we then returned to our room later, we noticed that personal stuff that we like to keep on the nightstand, was moved into cupboards in the bathroom, which we found by having to look through the whole place. If it's not bad enough yet, this all happened after an earlier discussion regarding payment, where Charles got agitated saying that there's no point to a bank card if you can't use it. This is because he had my card details (through booking.com) and tried to take money for the extra night in the honeymoon suite (this night was agreed on later, so not through booking.com).

Excellent breakfast unless a traditional fried food is required.Even fresh Salmon on the menu, to much to mention.
Better weather, nothing more can be done about that😂.

Everything was more than we expected. The breakfast, cleanliness and assistance that Charles and Katerina provided was exceptional. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the town and the view you will always remember.

Very comfortable and clean, Charles and Katarina were amazing the entire stay, very helpful and friendly

The fact it was very clean. Very warm welcome. Lovely view and convenient location.
No full Scottish breakfast just scrambled egg with smoked salmon or not. It would have been better with a varied cooked offering.
4.5
Very friendly hosts, keen to share information on local sights etc. Comfortable bed, nice room with loch view. Very convenient for town centre shops, restaurants etc.
Quite expensive for type of accommodation, as compared to other places stayed on this holiday and in this general area.

The breakfast was fine for me, but my husband would have preferred the option of a cooked breakfast. Location was perfect for the centre.
The soundproofing between rooms was poor. The guests next door to us were very loud and sounded as though they were in with us!

Doesn't appear to be consistent with previous reviews.

Charles was a very welcoming host. Gave us plenty of information on attractions in the area and places to go for dinner. A lovely treat on the second day when we arrived home to find homemade cake for afternoon tea. Our room was very comfortable and was serviced every day. A great view over the Loch. About a 20 minute walk into town.
Breakfast was continental except for scrambled eggs. These weren't available on our last day. Decor was a little outdated and quirky.

The property was well located with a beautiful view from the bedroom. There was a good variety at breakfast and the smoked salmon was delicious. Charles was an excellent host and really helpful with what to do in the local area. Good parking on site.
4.5
It was a lovely place & Charles is very knowledgeable about the area
Continental breakfast was on offer, would have preferred the choice of a cooked breakfast too.
4.5
Superb choices for breakfast all fresh and plentiful. Excellent location just a short stroll to the Main Street with stunning views.

Everything was absolutely perfect, the location was beautiful, the house had amazing decorations and our host was wonderful. We were given recommendations for things to do in the area (which were great). To top it all off, the smoked salmon breakfast was to die for. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking to experience Fort William in style.
Nothing I can think of, everything was perfect.
4.5
Friendly place to be and very helpful owner, with splendid info about places to visit and places to eat. Would recommend.
It was spacious and private, handy for the centre, but also nicely located close to the tranquility of the loch.
