We really enjoyed this hotel, and it was our second time staying here. The first time was actually 15 years ago, and it is even better now. The entire hotel is upscale, the service is excellent, and the rooms are modern and well appointed There are at least two more things worth mentioning about this hotel: 1) It is directly linked to the Namba Nankai railway station, which makes it tremendously convenient. You can follow the signs right out the train station to the hotel entry and 2) there is a fitness area with a large lap pool. So, if you enjoy swimming laps like we do, this is a great hotel choice. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are interesting in staying in the Namba area of Osaka. It is just convenient to everything.

Our stay here was overall enjoyable, with a few standout moments and minor drawbacks. The customer service was exceptional, with multilingual agents who made everything so much easier. They also had a computer available for use, which was a lifesaver for me during the trip. Breakfast was fantastic, offering a mix of Western and Japanese selections. Our son especially loved the ice cream station—a fun and unexpected treat! The view from the dining area was stunning, particularly at sunset, adding a lovely touch to the mornings. The room itself was a bit of a letdown—small and outdated—but the hotel’s location more than made up for it. Being close to Dotonbori and plenty of shopping spots made exploring Osaka a breeze. We’d likely return, but next time, we’d definitely opt for a better room to make the experience even more enjoyable. For the location, service, and breakfast alone, it’s worth considering!

Heat central location just above Namba station which made it very easy to travel around the city. The room was clean, modern, and the bed and linens were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was buffet style with a huge variety of both western and Japanese offerings. The highlight was the sauna, Japanese bath, and cold plunge. The gym was also well equipped. The lobby is wide open with plenty of seating and drink options (maybe food too). Staff was attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We chose Swissotel to celebrate our anniversary in Osaka. Location: We chose the location based on our research because it's minutes from the Namba Station with access to the metro and Express train to the airport. However, it wasn't as convenient for our day trips to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hemiji Castle, Kobe etc. because we still had to travel to the Shin Osaka station across the river to make connections. We also weren't quite prepared for the crush of people in in the Namba Station outside the hotel and just about every shopping area surrounding the building. It was overwhelming at times. Service: Excellent. Everyone was very helpful, especially Meg (Takeuchi) at the concierge desk who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Kilm(?) in the Bar 26/Restaurant was also so welcoming, kind and thoughtful when we dined upstairs in the hotel. Accommodations: Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable but the bathroom was somewhat disappointing because the shower was not user friendly and hard to regulate because it had a hand held spray. It was almost impossible to avoid splashing water all over the floor because there is only a partial glass wall. More importantly, it was not safe trying to get in and out of the tub without slipping because there was not a safety bar to hold onto on the back wall near the door to brace yourself. Perhaps the hotel can look into this. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Location is ideal: right at Namba Station for the airport train und lots of subway lines. Walking distance to Dontonbori street. Decent rooms with great view. Comparatively good english skills of the staff. Full size swimming pool is a big plus. Breakfast service is overcrowded during peak hours and buffet may run out of certain food. Would expect more from a hotel in that price category. Went to table 36 restaurant for dinner, service was average (ordering in english was a hassle, they didnt get the order right and werent able to deliver the main courses for the 2 of us at the same time. Waiter was a trainee though, so I guess its part of the learning process and not a big deal.

Chose this hotel because of its location. Very close to Namba station and Dotonbori. Room was clean and quiet. All that you expect from an international hotel chain property. Swimming pool and spa areas are a bit outdated and could use some renovation touches.

Great place to stay in Osaka when travelling. I would like to mention that the concierge service is by far the best and quickest. I stayed in Four Seasons and other expensive hotels during our stay in Japan this trip and the response was fastest and precise. For this alone, I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling Osaka. The hotel is connected to the 2 huge stations and shopping malls, department stores. If you want to buy anything everything is within the complex. Since the hotel is placed quite high and the floor I stayed was 26th floor, so the view was also great. Almost no need for going to Harukas 300 or Umeda view point. Complimentary water was in a glass bottle so cannot take it out with you which is a downside.

We stayed for 6 nights.A very convenient hotel where dining and transport is just a short walk away. Breakfast was great,with both traditional and Western cuisine. Only setback is the onsen pool is very small and you need to pay extra to enter,unlike other 5* hotels.

During our stay at this hotel, we had a generally positive experience with a few notable highlights and a significant drawback. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist with any requests we had, especially the luggage courier service. Their professionalism and warm hospitality greatly enhanced our stay. One of the standout features was the breakfast, offering a variety of delicious options to choose from. The best part was enjoying breakfast with a stunning view of Osaka. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, particularly regarding the pullout beds. The bedding on these beds was dirty, which was quite disappointing. (They did bring clean bedding to remedy this situation.) Overall, a good stay with room for improvement in cleanliness.
